Kalani smiled as he spun in a circle before collapsing onto a bench. The boardwalk was great, he loved being by the ocean when he got kicked out of the house. It reminded him of home. And home meant being lazy as he sat outside in the sun, right by the beach. He was usually proud to not follow this "Hawaiian Stereotype," but he loved being by the beach. He paused his music and put his iPod in his bag, then put his hands behind his head, stretching out on the bench. "Kai?" He heard a familiar voice. He used a hand to block the sun and saw his second oldest sibling towering over him. "Hey Lanh, wassup?" Kalani replied cooly, sitting up on his elbows. Lanh smiled and sat down at the edge of the bench. "Kicked out of the house again huh?" He teased. Kalani shrugged. "No big deal, y'know? We've got this awesome boardwalk that reminds me of home." Lanh looked at the boardwalk, but not towards the beach where Kalani was looking. "Yeah, and it's a great day..." He murmured. Kalani looked to his older brother. "But what are doing out? Normally you're still sleeping at this time." Lanh chuckled, "I promised Jasmine I'd meet her today." "Ah, meetin the girlfriend, huh?" Kalani teased. "Yeah, but actually," Lanh began, turning to Kalani and getting his younger brother's attention. "It's kind of good I ran into you. She's going to be bringing along another sibling and I promised her I'd find someone to keep her company." "So you're asking me to be a fourth wheel and be doubly awkward than I usually am? Awesome. We're staying on the boardwalk, right? I'm in." Kalani said, a mischievous smile on his face. Lanh smiled, patting him on the back, "I knew you'd be down for it if you were outside." He joked. Kalani nodded and grinned, "Hell yeah, bring it on." He said confidently. He looked to Lanh, a playful smile on his face, "Hey, you call me two-faced when I met this 'other sibling,' I'll kill you." "In what? Mortal Kombat?" Lanh joked, causing the two of them to playfully start fighting with each other.

"Jasmine, why did you have me leave my guitar at home? I could be making some money at a place like the beach." whined Rachael, who was being dragged along by her sister, Jasmine. "Besides, I thought you were gonna meet your boyfriend here. Why would I want to be the third wheel?" she added in, her thick british accent really showing now. Jasmine simply shook her head, and continued to drag her sister down the boardwalk. "Because Rach, you need to get out more. The whole world doesn't revolve around music and money. You need to let loose and have fun." Jasmine explained to her, finally letting her hand loose, trusting her to continue following her. "Lanh said he would bring one of his brothers anyway. So you guys can bond together. Apparently, he doesn't get out much either...making friends anyway." "I don't need friends though. I have you." Rachael continued to whine. "Rachael..." Jasmine didn't say any more, for they were already in sight of the boys. "There they are." she grinned, running up to jump in her boyfriend's lap surprisingly. "Hey there, stranger!" she glomped, immediately kissing up his lips, just showing how much she's missed him. Rachael on the other hand, took her time in coming closer to the group, not wanting to ruin the moment between Jasmine and Lanh. That is, until Jasmine waved her arm over to Rachael to come closer. "So...Lanh, this is my sister I was telling you about. Rachael. Rachael, this is my amazing boyfriend, Lanh. And um...Lanh, what did you say your brother's name was again?" she asked, nudging towards Kalani sitting silently next to the couple.

Lanh smiled, returning the kiss as he held Jasmine around the waist, excited to see her again. He looked to Rachael and smiled to her once they introduced to each other. "Nice to meet you Rachael." He told her with a charming grin. He looked to Kalani, who had a playful smile but otherwise was acting shy. "This is my brother Kalani. He's from Hawaii." He told her, and Kalani gave Rachael a simple wave. He gave her a look, as if asking her, 'you got dragged into this too?'

"Hello." Rachael grinned as Lanh greeted towards her, with her british accent remaining thick, but understandable. She nodded towards who seemed to be Kalani. "You..you're Hawaiian? I've always wanted to go there." she responded back with a sweet smile. Jasmine just grinned at the pair. She could already see them hitting it off, even if they literally had just met thirty seconds ago. "Well, as you can tell from her accent...Rachael's from England." Jasmine added, quite proudly for her new sister. Rachael only blushed, but lightly.

Lanh raised an eyebrow, "How awesome!" He said, looking to Rachael. However, Lanh's attention wouldn't go off Jasmine, except for when a yawn escaped from his mouth, and he let out a small chuckle as he hid his face in Jasmine's shoulder. Kalani shrugged, smiling up at Rachael as he pulled his legs on the bench and crossed them. "It's nice. I love this boardwalk cause it reminds me of Hawaii. Where in England are you from?" He asked her curiously.

Jasmine returned her gaze back to her boyfriend, laughing in response to his sudden yawn. "I see someone's tired." she giggled. "Didn't you sleep at all last night? That's what you're suppose to do in the summer, isn't it? Sleep in?" she teased him, and kissed just the corner of his lips.
Rachael nodded. "I'm from Birmingham." she replied simply. "What about you? Er, what I mean is...aren't there different islands or something?" she bit her lip, not quite sure she got her geography correct, but hoped she did.

Lanh let out a small laugh before replying. "These days I've been taking the night shift, so I'm normally sleeping during the day. I took three days off just to meet you." He admitted with a laugh. "Because it took me one day to catch up on sleep, another to fix my schedule, and then today. Once classes start again I'm going to be getting day shifts again, but I told the manager it was okay for the summer." He explained.
Kalani nodded. "I'm from Lana'i." He told her with a smile. "It's kind of close to Honolulu." He added with a small laugh. "At least that's the nearest popular island." He explained. "Lots of agriculture on Lana'i. The main city is like... only eight street across."

"So I see..." Jasmine nodded. "And yet, you can't make enough time to plan special dates for us anymore?" she teased, leaning her head on his chest. "Unless of course you've been saving up some cash for something special...." she winked.
"Oh~" Rachael nodded, listening intently to his little speech on his hometown. "Well, I've still always wanted to visit over there. No matter what island. From the pictures I've seen and what I've heard about it, its beautiful. I've heard the sunsets are gorgeous too." she continued to ramble without realizing it. "I'd probably travel to all the islands someday, knowing me." she giggled.

Lanh smirked. "Maybe." He told her, playing coy. "Or maybe I'm saving to pay for my phone and pay off my motorcycle. You never know." He teased. Truth was, he did have something special planned for her, but he would set aside extra money he had for it after paying off his own bills. But he'd let Jasmine figure it out on her own.
Kalani nodded, "It's beautiful, I won't deny that, but I guess you get used to things after a while, you know?" He told her simply. He chuckled when she mentioned visiting all the islands. "That'd probably take you a couple months at least." He told her. "There's a lot more islands in Hawaii than meets the eye."

"Awe...you got my hopes up and everything." she pouted, cuddling closer to her boyfriend by curling her feet up on the bench. She glanced over to her sister and Kalani to see how they were pulling it off then just returned her head back onto Lanh's chest to rest on.
Rachael nodded. "That's kind of like England. I mean, except for the fact that we have no islands, it still gets some getting used to, like you said with Hawaii. It is beautiful, I agree. But, again, like you said, theres more to it than meets the eye." she repeated to him like a parrot. "Nonetheless though, I do love England. Even if I am down here in America, my home will always be up there." she added in quickly, trying to think of something else to talk about before they got too into details. She wasn't exactly in the mood for talking about how she ended up running away from home. "So...what do you like to do, Kalani? Like, do you have any hobbies or something?"

Lanh chuckled, poking Jasmine on the nose playfully. "And what if I told you in the future, I will have a surprise for you?" He teased her. "Just right now I'm working on paying bills and stuff?" He teased her, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Kalani glanced over at his brother and made a face, not much into romance. His attention was brought back to Rachael when she asked him a question. "Hmm?" He asked at first, still processing what she had asked him. Ah, the moment of truth. Typically hobbies like his would chase girls away. "I like playing video games, listening to music, and more recently, hanging out on the boardwalk." He told her simply, but then held up a finger, "Oh! And also eating anything with pineapple in it. You?" He asked her casually, his normal, strange personality coming out a little more.

"Oh?" Jasmine gave a small smirk, giggling as he poked her nose lightly with his finger tip. "Then I would say..." she told him, leaning her face closer to his, their lips barely touching, "I cannot wait to see what the near future holds for me." And she kissed the top of his lips softly and passionately.
Rachael glanced for a second over to Jasmine, immediately shaking her head when she noticed her sister kissing her boyfriend in that kind of manner. She returned her position towards Kalani again, listening to his answer given. "Oh~ Pineapple. I don't think I ever tried pineapple before..." she furrowed her brows in thought. "But music. I do love music. I like to play it actually. Normally, I sit around different spots in town playing my guitar for some extra cash. I mostly do it for love though. It-it's one of my favorite things to do." she finished, a smile starting to widen across her lips finally.

Lanh chuckled, returning the kiss as he got kiss. Suddenly, something Rachael said made him perk up, and he could only smile as he poked Jasmine, "Wait, wait. Watch this, Kalani's about to go crazy." He whispered to her with a laugh. "That's great... Wait." Kalani said, listening intently to her talk about her love for music until he realized what she said. "You've never had pineapple?" He asked her, his eyes wide. "Not even like, from a can or in a pie or fruit salad, NEVER[/b]?" He asked her as if it was the most ridiculous thing he'd ever heard in his life. "Not in ice cream or on froyo or in a smoothie? JUICE, at least?" He asked her, officially figuring attempting to keep any "cool" or "suave" appearance was out of the question. He knew pineapples were more of a tropical thing, but he'd never heard of someone never having tried them.

Jasmine perked up as well, looking over to the other two as she was told, watching just what Lanh said Kalani would do. Freak out. Rachael's eyes suddenly grew wide at the boy's sudden freak out. She didn't know exactly what to say to that. Although when he mentioned Pineapple juice, she managed to pipe in with a finger raised, "Actually, I have had Pineapple juice. That's about it, I think, though." she admitted to him, slowly lowering her finger back down. Jasmine couldn't help but giggle throughout the whole thing. She turned back to Lanh then, asking curiously, "What is it about Kalani and Pineapples, anyway? I mean, I get he's Hawaiian...but still...." she laughed again.

Lanh chuckled, leaning close to Jasmine as if whispering to her. "You know, I don't know really." He told her with a laugh. "You know how people are often questioned like 'if you could only have one food for the rest of your life what would it be'?" He chuckled and glanced over at his brother. "He chose pineapple. I don't if it's because he's Hawaiian or what... He freaking loves the stuff. Ice cream, juice, frozen yogurt, froyo toppings. He once visited me at work and complained for an hour after I got off about how we should go rot in hell because we don't have pineapple slushies." He told Jasmine, still amused. Louder so Kalani could hear him, he teased his younger brother, "Nice suaveness, dude." "Shut up, you." Kalani told Lanh without looking at him. He took a few deep breaths and began looking around. "There's got to be pineapple here somewhere." He told Rachael, seemed determined to find some. "I don't think you're in Hawaii anymore." Lanh teased again. He glared at Lanh before looking to Rachael, seeming to just process she had said something. "Juice... you liked the juice, right?" Lanh was mouthing to Rachael 'say yes' for a little bit before leaning in again to whispering to Jasmine, still amused, "That could start a whole new turf war."
