With the batter getting to that point where it was smooth, Max set the mixing spoon down beside the bowl to let it sit, turning his head back to Naomi. "Well, I don't know about anyone else, but you've met my dad already. That wasn't since you were pregnant though." he told, going back to the mix, ready to pour it in the hot pan now.

Naomi nodded, biting her lip. "Yeah. I don't think I've met your siblings though." She sighed when her hair fell back into her face, grabbing it in her hands. "I need to cut this." She said, shaking her head. She turned and leaned against the counter, making sure to stay away from the hot stove. She'd nearly burnt herself once while pregnant with Ari, though she never told Max, and hadn't cooked, or stepped near a stove since. "It's super annoying."

"Well, you'll get to meet my brother and my niece today." he smiled, slowly pouring in the mix into small circles filling the pan. "I think you'll really like them. My niece, Brooklyn, is cute. She's two. She loves meeting new people, so I'm sure she'll get along with you." he chuckled lightly, getting the spatula ready to turn over the first of the pancakes. But before he did so, he turned to glance at what Naomi was saying about her hair. "Aww, but I like your hair long. It's what makes you all the more beautiful." he charmed, "But if you really want to cut it, just make sure its still longer than your shoulders. Even if its an inch longer. I like girls with long hair. Long, dark, and curly." he grinned, turning back to flip over the first couple pancakes.

Naomi grinned, running a hand through her hair. "Don't worry. I won't cut it much. Only trim it." She giggled lightly when he said his preference for girls. "Oh really? Then I guess straightening and dyeing my hair is out of the question, huh? You won't like me very much if I did that." She shook her head, glancing back to check on Ari. "I myself like guys with red hair. They make very pretty babies, you know?" She winked, giggling again.

"Good." Max grinned, while flipping the rest of the pancakes, waiting for the other sides to get just brown enough to flip out of the pan and onto the plates. "And believe me, if you ever dyed your hair, say blond, I don't even know what I would say, let alone do to you." he laughed teasingly, taking a quick glance over at Arielle still sleeping when Naomi brought up her own preferences. "Yeah, I bet you like the red-heads. We're the sexy ones, huh?" he laughed out, flipping the first pancake over on the first plate, before sliding each of the other ones onto the rest of them. Just as he was doing that then, Brooklyn came in, rubbing her eyes with a small yawn escaping her mouth before saying to him, "You make pancake Uncle Max?" she asked in her cute little two year old voice. "Yes ma'am. I'm making it just how you like it too: shape of a heart." he told her, glancing over at Brooklyn's smile brightening up as he pulled out a heart shaped cookie cutter, pressing down on Brooklyn's piece, tossing aside the extra pieces, and handing Brooklyn the finished product. Complete with butter and syrup on top. He lifted Brooklyn up in her booster seat for her to reach her food better, and was about to dig in when she noticed an unfamiliar face at the table. "Hi!" she squeaked out, waving to Naomi, with her big smile staying on her face.

"You have a fetish for blondes?" Naomi teased. "Or you don't like them?" She shook her head and laughed. "Oh yes, red heads are definitely the sexy ones." She went over to kiss him lightly before going back to the table. "I'm glad I snagged me one. I even got a beautiful red-headed baby out of it." She fell quiet as Brooklyn came into the kitchen. She smiled when the little girl spoke to her, waving back. "Hello there. You must be Brooklyn." She said cheerfully.

"I'm not against them in anyway. I just don't like the way most of them always think how their the only pretty ones. And personally, I don't think blondes are the prettier ones. I prefer brunettes." he winked, filling up the last plate as he went over to sit beside Naomi at last, smiling at his niece already making conversation with Naomi. When Naomi said Brooklyn's name, her eyes grew slightly wider, with her blue eyes showing more than before. "How you know my name?" she asked almost shockingly. Max just laughed. "I told her about you, Brook." he said, cutting up his pancakes as he spoke. "Ooo! Did you say how good of singer I is?" she squealed, turning back to Naomi with a wide grin. "I have really good voice. Daddy says I get it from him. I loooove to sing!" she pipped, grabbing her plastic fork poking the heart shaped pancake, picking it up to rip off a small piece with her teeth, making a mess on her mouth while at it.

Naomi smiled. "Well, thats a good thing." She smiled as she listened to the little girl talk, using her utensils to cut her pancakes into small pieces. Naomi thought it was too adorable how wide Brooklyn's eyes got when she said her name. She hoped Arielle would grow to be that cute. "Do you now? I'll have to hear it someday then, huh?" She asked, taking a bite of her pancake. "Well, if your daddy says you have a pretty voice than it must be true."

Max just smiled, and continued eating his own pancake while letting Brooklyn and Naomi talk and get to know each other. "I can sing wight now if you want me to." Brooklyn shared, still having food stuffed in her mouth, bits of syrup dripping down her chin. Max gave her a look, "Brook...chew and swallow your food before you continue talking." he warned the little girl, who just dipped her head down innocently as she swallowed the remains of her pancake. "Sowwy." she said apologetically, to her sweet uncle. Max smiled and nodded. "Where is your daddy, Brooklyn? Is he still sleeping?" Brooklyn nodded, taking another bite of her food, this time swallowing it like she was told before talking again. "I heawd him snoewing when I tip-toed passed his woom." she giggled, Max chuckling as well. "I see."

Naomi giggled as Brooklyn explained about her dad sleeping. "Maybe after we get done eating you can sing to me." She suggested, taking another bite of her food. "So Brooklyn, what do you like to do other than singing?" She finished her first pancake and began working on the second one, not too sure if she'd be able to finish it. She glanced up at Max, biting her lip. "Do you think I could get something to drink?"

Brooklyn nodded enthusiastically. "Otay!" she squealed, ripping off another piece of pancake into her mouth. "Mmm! Cwan I ha'e dwink twoo?" she mumbled with food still stuffed in her mouth. Max nodded to Naomi with a smile. "Oh of course, beautiful." he grinned, getting up heading towards the fridge, "What would you like? We have milk, orange juice, and apple juice." he asked without looking away from the fridge before adding something to Brooklyn. "And Brooky, I can't hear a word your saying, so swallow your food and try asking again, please." Brooklyn frowned, doing as she was told and asking once again, "I wan' some apple juice pwease." Max turned his head back around smiling at her, proudly, "And you shall have it, princess." Brooklyn just smiled her cheerful smile, about to grab another bite when she overheard her baby cousin start whining, showing that she was finally waking up. "Oo! Can I pway with baby Awielle?" she asked anxiously, "When you finish your food, you may." Max simply put, pouring her drink and handing it to her just after. "Did you wanna see Arielle while I get your drink, Nai?"

"Orange juice is fine." Naomi saiid as a light blush crossed her cheeks. She nodded when she heard Ari wake up and stood from the table, going into the living room where her daughter was. "Hi sweetie." She said, taking her out of the swing and giving her a kiss. Arielle gurgled happily, although a bit sleepily. "How are you? Have a good sleep?" She asked, running her hand across her soft red hair.

Max nodded, a light smile growing wider after pouring two orange juices, one for each of them, first eying on Brooklyn who seemed to be gulping down her apple juice just as he sat down. Then he glanced back over to Naomi with Arielle. "Well, look who's up." he chuckled, reaching over when he was able to, to stroke the baby's soft cheek. "Have a nice sleep, did you?"

Naomi slid back into her seat with her daughter in her arms. When MAx spoke to Ari, she gurgled and reached out to grab her daddy's nose. Naomi finished less than half of her second pancake before pushing her plate away, taking a sip of her juice. "I can feed her while your eating." Naomi offered, rubbing Arielle's palm with her pointer finger. Arielle yawned, leaning against her mothers arm while she played with Naomi's finger.

Max only laughed when his baby girl grabbed his nose with her tiny hand. He let her play around with his finger, squeezing it until she went back to sucking on Naomi's finger showing she was hungry for breakfast. He nodded at her suggestion. "A fresh bottle of milk is in the fridge door, on the top." he pointed out, before taking a bite of his pancake, finishing off the first piece before taking a sip of his orange juice next.
Before long then, David came strolling out, dragging his feet with his hair a mess like it was all mornings. "Hey, bro." Max grinned, Brooklyn popping her head up next. "Hi daddy!" she perked, David smiling at his daughter, ruffling up her hair as he took a seat where Max had placed his meal and drink. "Mmm...Pancakes. My favorite." he said, licking his lips as he took a sip of orange juice before started cutting up his pancakes. "Uncle Max made me a heawt shape one, see?" Brooklyn pointed out, lifting up half of the heart to show her daddy. "I can see that. Is it good?" With a simple "yes" coming from Brooklyn, David perched his head up again, just now recognizing a new face at the table, seeming to be holding his niece getting ready to feed her. "Ah, so you're the famous Naomi Max had told me so much about." he grinned, Max only ducking his head down chuckling as well. "Nice to meet you. As you probably know, I'm David, his older brother." he said, holding out his free hand for a quick shake before she got too busy with the baby.
