Vic shrugged lightly, he didn't want to promise her that he would never hurt her, because chances are, he would not meaning to, but he would never cheat on her. He licked his lips, "I mean, I'll probably do or say stupid things, but I would definitely try my hardest not to hurt you, ever, because what's the point if the whole time I'm sitting her trying to hurt you? That's just mean..." He felt dumb now, he wished he could think of something better to say. Letting his hands move to the straps of his backpack, he shook his head lightly, "And I'm really not as great as you think I am, so let's just get that out in the open right now."

"Of course, I understand that you'd make a mistake," Sophie said. "Everybody makes mistakes and does stupid things. Like me not telling you how I felt about you for a whole year, that was stupid. I should have told you the truth....about everything." She couldn't help but wonder how things would have been if she said something much sooner. Then again, she had no idea when he started liking her. For all she knew, it could have happened long after she started liking him. "I know you'd never cheat on me though. If you decided that you didn't want me anymore, I'm sure you would tell me." She kept smiling at him. "I know you're not perfect, nobody really is. I'm far from it myself."

Vic shrugged lightly, "I can't say I blame you for that, though. I mean, I didn't tell you that I liked you either," he said, shaking his head. "It would have been ten times easier if I was brave enough to tell you from the beginning." His teeth were chewing on his lip nervously, because he was really freaking out about this whole situation. He shrugged and kicked at the ground lightly. "I don't think I could really get tired of you," he said sheepishly, his cheeks turning a light pink color. He nodded, though, glad that she knew that he wasn't perfect. Honestly, if she thought he was perfect, he wouldn't be able to handle it.

"Yeah, it's so weird that we both liked each other and never said anything until now. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I had to tell you before it was too late.....when you showed up to the Valentines party with Mady, I thought that you and her were....together." She watched him kick the ground, blushing at him as well. He's so cute....I can't believe he's going to be mine..... She knew it was wrong to think that far ahead considering that they hadn't even been on a date yet, but she couldn't help it.

Vic nodded, agreeing with her completely. It was kind of silly. They were both too afraid that the other didn't like them back that they'd hidden their feelings for over a year. He laughed lightly when she said she thought he and Mady were together. He shook his head, "No, she just didn't have anything to do. We usually spend Valentine's Day at the ice rink, so she was going to be sitting at home alone if I didn't bring her." He shrugged as he looked over at her and then smiled. "I promise, Mady and I are just friends. Our brothers tried to set us up, but we've never been like that."

Sophie nodded her head, showing him that she completely believed him. She had no reason to doubt him, but it was nice to hear him say yet again that he was only interested in friendship from Mady. "Awwww that's so sweet of you to take her out to the skating rink. When Chris was gone, I stayed home on Valentines Day. I wish I had someone to take me out and cheer me up." Her mind jumped ahead again, wondering if Vic would be her valentine next year. If she hadn't been so nervous, he could have been it this year. "Wow, your brothers tried to fix you up? That must have been fun." She giggled at the thought of her siblings fixing her up. There were a few that she trusted, but most of her siblings would probably fail at matchmaking.

He smiled but gave a light shrug. They would go because he played hockey on a league and she played when it was just for fun between their two families. So they would skate around in the rink next to the main one using his league pass so they could play around with a puck, since the other half was full of couples. He smiled at her and shrugged, "Well, we could have gone there instead, we wouldn't have been bothered. I mean, as long as you don't mind us playing hockey..." He laughed and shook his head, blushing a little. "No, not fun at all actually. we both went to meet each other for our 'date' and we ended up laughing at each other the whole time. We've been friends since she moved here, so it really didn't make sense."

"Hockey?" Sophie asked. "How interesting." She liked ice skating, but she couldn't picture herself playing hockey. She'd watched her brothers play it a few times and it looked pretty violent. However, she was willing to give it a try for Vic's sake. "That's good that you guys were able to laugh about the whole thing. I would feel so awkward going on a date like that with a friend. Then again I've never really had any guy friends that I didn't have feelings for, so....."

Vic shrugged lightly, it really wasn't that interesting, he'd been doing it his entire life along with his older brother, so he just assumed that most people were like that, although he supposed not that many people he knew actually played which is why his league was more of a district travel team. He smiled lightly, "We didn't call it a date, they did. It wasn't a big deal," he explained, blushing hoping to get off the subject of he and Madalyne's 'date'. He licked his lips and raised a brow, "Really? Never?" he asked. It just seemed weird to him, but then again, he guessed it wasn't that odd.

"Oh I get it now." Sophie knew that she probably shouldn't keep rehashing his date, but she couldn't help it. It was just reassuring to keep hearing that he was just friends with her. "Yeah, well I didn't really have too many friends growing up. I mostly hung out with my older siblings and their friends. I was homeschooled most of my life, so I didn't get a chance to really meet too many people. Chris was like the first guy friend I had, although the friendship part was kind of iffy." She cringed as she recalled the way she had thrown herself at her ex-boyfriend. Granted, she was only thirteen at the time and just imitating the behavior of one of her sister's friends, but it was still pretty embarrassing.

Vic nodded lightly, trying to figure out what to do. What would Bo do in this situation? he found himself wondering. He would probably ask her to do something with him... He bit his lip. He couldn't do that. Vic was not equipped to handle this type of situation. He only knew how to be friends with someone he didn't know how to flirt or even ask someone on a date. "Uhm..." he started, he just didn't know what to do. "Wha--What do we do now?" he asked out loud, looking back at Sophie, hoping she would have the answer. Now that they knew they liked each other, what were they? Were they talking? Were they a thing? He didn't know how it worked at all.

"We uh....I don't know...." Sophie wished that she had given more thought to this plan before acting on it. In her head, she had envisioned it as her expressing her feelings and him either returning those feelings or completely dismissing the idea. For some reason, the aftermath hadn't even occurred to her. When her and Chris had gotten together, everything was so rushed and sudden. Within about an hour of their first meeting, they had already made a date, made their relationship official, admitted that they loved each other, and made out. Vic was different. Sure, she had always been attracted to him, but she had somehow managed to build up a yearlong friendship with him in the midst of her crush. That made things even more complicated. "I guess we go out somewhere," she replied, finally looking back at him. "Like to the movies or out to eat? Unless you have any other plans today, then we can do it some other time."
