"Whoa, seriously? I have wondered about that, actually. That if an American movie plays somewhere else if it has subtitles for their place...Guess that answers my question, though." she laughed. "I wouldn't mind visiting Korea actually. Hell, I wouldn't mind getting out of the country, period. Traveling seems like a fun thing to do in my mind."

Kan nodded. "Usually only animated films get dubbed, and even that's not happening very often anymore." He explained to her. He smiled at her idea of wanting to travel. "I could take you there. To Korea, I mean. Maybe even Japan if you wanted." He offered seriously. I can't go back to Korea alone... His mind seemed to think without his willing, and he took a deep breath to keep scars of the past from coming back to mind.

"That's still cool though." she grinned, even wider now that he mentioned taking her to Korea and Japan. "Ohh~ That would be awesome!" she shouted, unaware that some others started showing up. "Europe itself sounds awesome to visit. Maybe you could take me after I...." she was interrupted by an audience member shushing her as the movie started playing. She was about to mention her choice of going off to join the Army, but she guessed that would have to wait till after the movie.

Kan looked at her curiously, wondering what she was about to say, but as the movie began, he got swept away by it, proud to only be confused by English a couple times in the entire two hours or so the movie was playing.

Most of the scenes, Anne was cracking up in her seat. She's seen the first two Men in Black movies at least fifty times. She loved them. It had everything, humor, action, you name it. When it was over, she had completely forgotten about what it was she wanted to tell Kan, except maybe, "Oh my fucking god. That movie was awesome!" she continued to laugh as they walked out into the lobby to grab her skateboard before heading out of the theater.

Kan nodded enthusiastically. "It was really interesting." He agreed. He felt like he had forgotten about something, but couldn't place it. As they were exiting the theater and going back into the mall. "Oh! You were saying something before the movie started...?" He tried, but knew that wouldn't be much help.

"I was?" she questioned, scrunching up her face trying to think. "Oh! Right, that. I was just gonna say that once I graduate high school, I was planning on joining the Army. My dad and both my brothers were, and I want to make them proud by serving our country like they did." she told him, unaware of how he would react now. Hopefully he wouldn't be too worried or shocked.

"Oh wow, really?" Kan asked, surprised. He had managed to be exempted from the Korean military draft after he had been adopted out internationally, but he had always debated signing up for it anyway. "That's really um... honorable." He told her, forgetting the word for a moment. "Admirable? Ah no, both." He concluded with a finalizing nod.

Anne smirked, grinning a bit. "Thanks. And either way, its for the country. Oh! I don't think I showed you this yet..." she quickly stopped them, to lift up the side of her shirt, revealing the tattoo she recently got. "It's honoring my brothers and dad. One my brothers died, while the other went MIA. And my dad went MIA while looking for my brother. They're all amazing people, really. And I want to honor them all, too. Not just our country, but my family."

"Wow~" Kan said, admiring the tattoo. "Actually, my dad was also in the military." He told Anne, realizing he had actually never talked about his biological parents since coming to America. He just hoped she didn't ask what happened to his mother... He shuddered, trying to disguise it by wrapping his arms around himself as if he were cold.

"Ohh, really?" she said admirably, tucking her shirt back down. "That's cool. So I guess we both of something to be proud of for our families, huh? Both served each of our countries, even if....well, you know, it didn't all end happily." she shrugged, not sure how well he takes it.

Kan nodded solemnly, now suddenly feeling like he was waist deep in memories. But he figured as long as he didn't ask about her mother, she wouldn't ask about his. "I think it's a big honor to fight for your country. In Korea, there is a mandatory military service for all men. Some guys don't like it. Maybe because my dad was in the military willingly, I really respect it." He explained.

"Oh, yeah?" she said intrigued. "Here in the US, its not mandetory at all. Not that I know of anyway... but all my family willingly went in to the fight for our country. I fully respect them, and now I want to repay the favor for them by joining myself. Personally, I think I'm cut out for it, too."

Kan nodded, agreeing Anne seemed tougher than most girls. "Actually, honestly, I think all countries should have a mandatory service. My friend from high school went in a couple months ago and he says it really makes you grow up. It's tough but good for morale." He explained.

Anne nodded, agreeing with what Kan was saying. "I agree. It should be mandatory. I wouldn't mind seeing how other girls react to boot camp either, too." she snickered almost evilly. "Now that would be quite a show to watch."
