Ellie rolled his eyes at his question. "When a good song comes on, maybe." Which was only part of an understatement. She had plenty of times when little kids would come up and ask her what she was reading or writing or drawing since it was pretty close to the playground, and she liked telling them and talking to them. Ellie reached for her door handle but he was already out and running to her door so he could open it. She groaned, rolling her eyes at him. "Dude. Manners. You don't have to be outright chivalrous all the time, especially not with me." She started walking then turned, with her hands on her hips and a smile hinting at the corners of her mouth. "I know, I know, I'm confusing. This way." She pointed, putting her hands in her pockets and taking the sidewalk on the lake's edge.

Joe sighed this girl was hard work, harder work than his high mantinece sister. ''you are worst than my sister'' he sighed again crossing his hands over his chest. He really didn't understand girls and this girl was far the worst he didn't think he would ever be able to understand her if they became friends. Following her he stuffed his hands in his pocket keeping quite as he mulled over his actions. He didn't open the door straight away at the coffee shop and got shouted out, he rushed to open the door once they got to the lake and got shouted at. Stopping in his tracked ''Ellie what's up? You shouted at me for not opening the door at the coffee shop then for opening it here. You are mighty confusing I just don't understand how I'm meant to act around you. Not that I act let me rephrase that I mean behave? And before you have a go you can listen to this speech and then I'll shut up. I just wanna be friends nothing more nothing less. And you're just confusing me what have I got to do to show you I'm not a bad guy'' he sighed, intaking a deep breathe and letting it out slowly as he looked her over returning his hands too his pockets.

Ellie rolled her eyes, walking in silence. She looked over her shoulder, raising her eyebrow and stopping as he did. Groaning, she put her hand on her forehead. "My, you're an idiot." She licked her lips and looked at him. "I yelled at you because you said something about girls not being allowed to drive your car. I only got onto you about manners towards a waitress." She folded her arms, tilting her head. "You give me a headache, you know that, kid?" She walked up and ruffled his hair, a smile playing at her lips. "Don't worry about it. Not many people figure me out, and certainly not in the first day. Only two have succeeded in that. My twin and..." Her smile that had formed was abruptly swept off and her eyes got a little watery. "Let's go." She turned around quickly, her face back to it's normal, blank stare as she started walking.

Joe shook his head, dismissing what she said too him. Thinking back to the waitress at the coffee shop. She did practically the same as him so who was she to pull him on his manners. ''jeez Ellie you confuse me" he smiled at her not letting her know that his hair was his pride and joy. Carefully sorting it out as she spoke to him, he wasn't even good at figuring girls out not until it was too late in the day to do so. Frowning when he though about past relationships. He noticed Ellie had trailed off when she said her twin has figured her out well that was obvious they shared a womb together. "So who was the other person? His bimbo girlfriend?" he said a small chuckling escaping his lips. Wondering what was so wrong about this girl that her brother was dating. ''tell me why you don't like her" Joe said linking arms with Ellie prenting he was one of the girls, maybe that would help her tell him what was up. Either that or she would think he was some creep. Either way he guess it would be an epic fail. If she did unload on him would he know what to say? He may be the king of speeches but he was never good in a crisis. And if he went off at his for linking arms he would just turn around and go back to his car he thought to himself.

"Yeah I know." She replied, sticking her tongue out at him. Scowling, she turned around. "She doesn't even have a chance at figuring me out. She tries but gets it wrong every time." Rolling her eyes, Ellie was about to fold her arms when Joe linked his arms with hers. She gave him a look, but decided that there was no stopping this kid from being what he was -an idiot- so she might as well deal with it. "She's just....annoying. Like she's all preppy and happy and when she first met me, it was like when a step parent meets the five-year-old daughter. Eian couldn't take his eyes off her." Ellie frowned, looking down. "I made one comment, like I usually would at anyone. She flipped her hair and giggled at him for something and I rolled my eyes and said, 'you pick her up at a modeling audition Einy?' and he glared at me." She rolled her eyes again, this time her jaw clenching. "He told me he wanted to speak to me in the kitchen real quick and completely blew up at me. 'Can't I have one relationship where you aren't chasing the girl away just because you're still convinced we're joined at the hip?' as if I had ruined all his other relationships." Ellie had stopped walking now, looking down; her long bangs shielded her glossy eyes, thankfully, but it didn't even cross her mind that she was telling all of this to a semi-stranger. "He hasn't even apologized for it. He tries to talk to me every now and then but I don't even see him anymore. He's...He's always out, with her." Ellie jerked her arm away from Joe, swiftly wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "He's so fricken attached to her. Eleanor said I was being stupid, but even she was shocked when Eian yelled at me. Eian...only yells at Kaleb, cause he doesn't like him."

Joe shook his head when she spoke in time with the negatives about this girl she didn't like. He didn't know what to say, he shouldn't have asked and opened that can of worms. He sure as hell didn't know what to do when she pulled away from her and wipped her eyes. Awkwardly putting his arm around Ellie he never knew what to do in a crisis and this felt like that to him. "I'm not sticking up for your brother or anything but it sounds like he really cares for this girl'' shurgging slightly Joe carried on. ''but he shouldn't have blown up at you like you said he did. That sounds pretty uncalled for. And he should have said sorry the moment he exploded. Have you spoke to him about the way he's been acting? Orh haven't you guys hung out?"

Ellie shrugged his arm off of her, looking up again and walking with a blank expression as if it hadn't happen. "Nope. Don't plan to either." She put her hands in her pockets, licking her lips. "I don't care what he feels about her, it'll..." She closed her eyes, sighing. There was no point in rattling off to this kid, he didn't understand. Ellie knew she couldn't talk either. Eian had had plenty of girlfriends, but this was the longest. A year already. "It's none of my business. He wants to go around playing with Barbie, he can go ahead."

Joe let the subject go it sounded like she didn't want to talk about it. ''So should we try that quiet thing again'' he asked, stuffing his hands back into his pockets. It seemed Ellie had already made her mind up about this girl and he wasn't going to change it. Hey they had only just met a few hours before of course he couldn't hinder her opinion on this girl. Only the girl or her brother could do that.

Ellie raised her eyebrow, looking back at him. "Seriously?" She chuckled, shaking her head and looking ahead again. "Sure. Don't die." She stuck her tongue out at him and smirked, continuing to walk in silence as signal the games had begun.

Joe wasn't sure be he felt that maybe it was something that Ellie would like to do. That's what any relationship was about putting 50/50 into it. So for now he was happy to at least try and play along with her let's be silence game. Following Ellie Joe wasn't sure where they where going he hadn't spent much time down at the lake before but it seemed to have a calming influence on him and when he was calm was when he was in his element he wished he'd brought his guitar at least then he would be distracted from being quite.

Ellie licked her lips, noticing they were coming up to an area lined with trees and such -the spot where you could keep walking around the lake or veer off onto the nature trail. She usually took a few steps in, then sat on a flat rock she found comfortable a few paces back in the trees where she wasn't too far from the path but nobody could see her. Gesturing for him to follow her, she entered the nature path, then cut to the left where there was a narrow break in the bushes. Going about 15 paces straight, she found the rock and sat on it cross legged, putting her head on her hands and looking at him. "I don't mind loosing for once. You're probably wondering why I went this way anyways. My feet were tired and I come here often."

Joe followed in silence not that he had a choice in the matter he was the one who had come up with the idea of them playing the 'let's be silence game' he thought to himself as the came to the nature trail. He never came down to the lake and the way Ellie was taking him made him wonder why he hadn't before. It was beautiful letting out a small sigh he was happy they had got to where they where going. Following Ellie over to the rock he leaned against it a small on his lips as she spoke, he felt like whooping and cheering but he didn't only on the inside. ''No I wasn't wondering I was admiring the view. I don't come down to the lake often and when I have been I haven't been this way, so was a nice difference'' he said, ''But I must agree I'm a little tired long work out this morning'' he said slightly flexing his arms something he did after mentioned he worked out. It was a flirting mechanism but he certainly wasn't flirting with Ellie he knew that much.
