Rian sighed and licked his lips. Ah, so his mother had told him that he needed to get out of the house. He hadn't made any friends, he hadn't talked to anybody. But it really didn't bother him, he was perfectly fine being indoors, where he had a computer, television, and video games to play with his little sister. Maybe he did need to make some friends. Rian sighed and bit his lower lip. "Whatever." he muttered to himself, annoyed. Why did he need to? He was having enough fun spending his time with his little sister! But he did need some friends his age, and he didn't go against that. He sat on one of the benches, his gaze looking around. His mother had told Gigi the same thing, she needed to get out and make friends her age.

Ichigo wandered through the park, her hands in her jean pockets. It was a decent day for a walk. At least, that's what her mother was telling her as she was pushing her out of the house. Ichigo would have been content to sit in her room reading fashion magazines and watching America's Next Top Model, but her mom told her that being holed up in the house all day was bad for you. Not that Ichi minded going out, she was out of the house all the time. It was just, today a brand new episode of ANTM was on and her mom was making her miss it. She walked over to a bench, noticing a boy there, who, to her opinion, looked miserable. "Hi." She said with a smile. "May I sit here?"

The boy looked up when he heard somebody's voice. It was a female, smiling at him. She asked him if she could sit there, and he nodded his head at her. Rian smiled at her, "Uh, sure." he told her. There wasn't anybody he was planning on meeting. But maybe this could be the chance for him to make a friend, like his mother had told him to do. Rian bit his lower lip, hopefully he wouldn't mess things up by stuttering and stuff. He hated it when he did that. He looked over her. She was quite pretty, he had to admit. Rian smiled at her, biting his lower lip. "I'm Rian." he introduced himself. "And you are?" he asked. Good, he thought. I haven't tripped over anything... he didn't have much friends. But it didn't mean he was antisocial, he just didn't think he needed friends. Rian was happy by himself, but his mother thought that he should get more friends to hang out with.

[Mia]

"I'm Ichigo, but you can call me Ichi." She smiled, pulling her hood off her head and tugging on one of her pigtails. "It's nice to meet you Rian~" She sat back against the bench, smiling over at him. "So, what are you doing sitting here all by yourself?"

"Uh...nice to meet you, too." he said lightly, biting his lower lip. He hated introductions, they were always awkward for him. Rian smiled softly at the girl. "I like your name." he told her. "It's really pretty." the boy wasn't lying. He honestly liked her name and found it cute. "Do you know what it means?" he asked her. "Or is it just a name?" Her name interested him, and so did the girl. He bit his lower lip, but a smile appeared on his face. "I'm not by myself now." he said. Hopefully that didn't end up sounding idiotic, he didn't need rivals at the moment. Rian bit his lower lip. "...er...nothing really." he said with a small shrug. He would never admit that he had no life outside of gaming, it would totally ruin their conversation. It would be better to keep it a lie, or, hide it.

[Mia]

"Thank you." Ichigo giggled. "It means strawberry." She said. "My mom named me it when she adopted me because of my hair." Ichi ran a hand through her hair, smiling at him. She blushed lightly for a second, but it quickly went away and she smiled again. "No, you're not." She swung her legs, looking up at the sky before looking back at the boy next to her. "How old are you?" She asked.

Rian smiled. "Uh, that's cool." he said, biting his lower lip. "I like your hair." he told her. He wanted to reach out and play with it for a moment, but that would just make the conversation awkward...for him. She told him that he wasn't by himself at the moment, maybe that meant she would stay and continue talking to him. He smiled at the thought, maybe this would be his first friend in Riverside...? Hopefully. He didn't need a rival. His gaze went back to the pretty girl. "Fifteen." he told her. His gaze went up to the sky, before going back to Ichigo. "How about you?" she looked like she was his age, maybe older or younger. Rian bit his lower lip, and his gaze went back to hers. Rian smiled softly.

"Thank you~" Ichi smiled. "I like your hat." She giggled lightly. When he said his age, she grinned a bit excitedly. "Really? Cool! We're the same age!" She giggled again, and then bit her lip. She wasn't nervous, but she was starting to worry that she would drive him away with her excessive girly-ness.

Rian laughed softly when she told him that she liked his hat. He really wore it everywhere, and somehow, it was like his best-friend, to him, of course. Rian smiled as Ichigo said that she was fifteen, too. That's good... he thought. Maybe it would be easier to become her friend, knowing that they are the same age. Rian bit his lower lip. "Are you new here?" he asked. He hadn't seen her around town before, or maybe it was cause he wasn't out much. He wasn't too new, but he didn't know too many places around the town. Maybe she could help him around. The boy smiled at the thought.

[Mia]

"Sorta." Ichi said. "We just moved here a few months ago, so we're still getting settled in and all. I haven't made very many new friends." Actually, she hadn't made any friends. Ichigo sighed lightly, shrugging. "People don't like me very much." She put a soft smile back on her face, looking back up at Rian. "What about you? Are you new here?"

"Oh." Rian said and nodded. He had moved here a week or so before. "Yeah, me too..." he said, his voice trailing off when Ichigo said that she hadn't made too many new friends. "Not like you?" he asked. Rian had been enjoying Ichigo's company, he didn't know why anybody would dislike the girl. Of course, she was bubbly and girly, but she seemed to be friendly and sweet. "How's that?" he asked her, biting his lower lip. Hopefully she wouldn't be uncomfortable with telling him. "...uh, if you don't mind telling me, of course..." he said. A small smile appeared on his face, "Yeah, you can say that. I've been here for a week." he said, biting his lower lip. "We're still all unpacking stuff and all. Our house is full of boxes..." Rian told her, a small smile appearing on his face. He laughed softly. "We really haven't gotten to unpacking..."

[Mia]

Ichi shrugged, a small frown falling in place of her smile. "I'm annoying to people. They say I'm way too girly and happy all the time." She sat all the way back on the bench, swinging her legs lightly. "I've always been this way though. It's lonely but I've learned to deal with it." She hoped her girly-ness didn't drive Rian away. He would be her first real friend since moving here, and it would suck big time if he thought her annoying. "I'm glad I haven't scared you away though...yet..." She added the last part quietly. "I'm still unpacking too." She giggled. "I have way too much stuff."

Rian was quiet for a moment when she said that people thought that she was too girly and annoying. Of course, Rian had found her girly, too, but not annoying. "I-i don't think you're annoying." he told her honestly, his gaze on his feet. He looked back up at Ichigo when she said that she was happy that she hadn't scared him away. He shrugged, "Honestly... I'm enjoying your company..." he smiled softly at her. She wasn't scaring him at all, and he was quite interested in the girl. Hopefully he wouldn't mess up, he didn't want her getting scared by him. Rian bit his lower lip and laughed when she Ichigo said that she had too much stuff to unpack. He laughed, and a small smile appeared on his face. "Wait...maybe I can help you unpack your things, and you can help me unpack mine...?" he asked, biting his lower lip.

[Mia]

"Really?" Ichigo smiled, a light blush crossing her cheeks. "I'm enjoying yours as well." At his suggestion, she nodded, her smile growing wider. "Okay~ Although," Her face turned serious for a second, though she was just playing, "I have a lot of clothes. I don't want you to get lost or anything." She giggled to show she was playing, tugging on a pigtail lightly. "That will be fun though. We can get to know each other better~"

Rian chuckled softly when Ichigo told him that she had quite a lot of clothes and that she didn't want him to get lost in them. "It's fine." he said with a small shrug. "I had a lot of sisters, and I'm pretty sure that they have more clothes." he said softly. The boy nodded. "Okay." he said with a small grin appearing on his face. "When should we help each other unpack...?" he asked, "Now?" Rian thought that it would be a great way for the two to become friends. Without all awkward silences between the two. He smirked. "We can start at your house, if you'd like." he told the girl with a small shrug. "I don't have too many clothes. It'll be easier to unpack my stuff."
