Chelsea wandered into the Mud and Grinds and as she passed the counter she went up on her tip toes to see over the counter, trying to get a peak at the barista, she knew Bo was working today and that it was nearing the end of his shift, but there was almost always more than one person manning the place and it was killing her. She'd been far too busy with the school and the diner to get around to seeing him. She didn't spot him, but figured it wouldn't be long before he made his way back out with a fresh pot of coffee or supplies or something.
She positioned herself at the table directly in front of the counter and pulled out a text book. She'd brought it, just so she'd have something to pass the time while she waited for his shift to end, but she was too anxious to see him, she couldn't pay any attention to it. It sat open, unread. Her elbow placed on the edge of the table, her head sitting in the palm of her propped up arm, she watched with great determination, the door of the backroom, waiting, wishing, until her mind drifted into a day dream involving herself and the cutest guy in Riverside, Bo Grey.

Bo was in the back fixing a shelf that Holly had somehow managed to break by standing on. What did she think was going to happen, it's not like it was a sturdy shelf to begin with. He finished fixing it and he walked out of the back room, "Holly, just because I fixed that doesn't mean you can stand on it again. Hear me? Only stand on the step stools." She gave him a dirty look and he rolled his eyes and walked up to the counter, grabbing a wet towel to bus tables with, he had to get away from Holly, luckily he was getting off in fifteen minutes, hopefully Jake would be there in enough time that he could leave on time today. He started to clean the first empty table he came to. When he glanced up he saw his girlfriend sitting there, book open, watching him. He smirked at her, "Hey, I didn't even see you there."

Chelsea perked up when she heard his voice, the expresso machine was blocking her immediate view of him as he told Holly off. She sat up little straighter as he walked around to the other side of the counter with a towel and started cleaning the table. "That's alright, I blend in with the wall." She winked and checked her watch. "You have fifteen minutes left, you going to be alright?" She glanced at Holly. "You seem a bit frustrated."

As Chelsea spoke to him he shook his head, "No way you could ever blend into anything. You're too pretty." He wiped down that table and then sat down, deciding that he'd take a small break since no one was in the shop at the moment. He shook his head thinking about how his day had gone so far, not really saying that he wouldn't be alright. "God, she's broken that damn shelf three times. That's the second time I've fixed it today. She's driving me insane," he said, shaking his head again and looking at his girlfriend. "But I can't leave until Jake comes in and God knows if he'll show up on time." He sighed as he looked up at the counter and saw Holly glaring at him again, "Oh, no, now I'm scared, satan's watching me." He stood up and looked at the girl behind the counter, making a gesture that said 'happy now?' and looked back at Chelsea. "You want something?"

Chelsea smiled as he complimented and continued to smile as he spoke about his busy shelf fixing day. She giggled as he stood up and made his comments regarding Holly. "Oh no, I'm good, I want my boyfriend to have a better day, so maybe when Jake gets here he'll grant me that wish?" She raised an eyebrow and continued to smile at him. "So you go on, finish what you need to do, washing your tables and whatever else, and I'll sit here and look pretty for you so you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel." She flashed him another bright wide smile and flipped the page in her book, though she wasn't looking at it.

Bo smiled at her, "Alright. I'll just be walking around cleaning tables I guess. He'd better be on time, or I'm gonna rip him a new one." He kissed her on the cheek and walked over to a different table, turning his backside to her as he wiped it off. He moved from table to table and had finished the entire shop with still no sign of Jake. He sighed and returned behind the counter. "Holly, where's Jake?" he asked. "I'm supposed to know that?" she asked, rolling her eyes. Bo rolled his eyes and someone stepped up to the counter and took their order. He gave them the plastic cup and then went to make his girlfriend a tall peppermint hot chocolate. He sighed softly, he knew she said she didn't want it, but he was going to give it to her anyway, he didn't know how long Jake would be. He went out to deliver her drink to her and smiled, "One Peppermint Hot Chocolate. Do you want some vanilla in there?"

Chelsea watched him for a few minutes, admiring his backside as he cleaned the tables and then she turned back to her text book, though really, she'd just started to day dream. She jumped a little when he was back at her table with a specially made drink. She took it from him graciously and took a sip. "No thanks, it's perfect just the way it is." She smiled up at him, took another sip and shook her head. "You've out done yourself, I didn't even want a drink and I might have to order another one just because this one is so good." She winked, looking at the door as the bell above it jingled, she didn't know what Jake looked like, but she crossed her fingers that it was him.

Bo smiled at her, "Yeah, well, I can't really rely on Jake to get here, so I didn't want you to have to wait here alone and drinkless. I know you don't like coffee much, so, hot cocoa it is." He smiled lightly and then walked back to the counter as the door opened. He glanced up and then he smiled seeing Jake, "Oh, thank God." He untied his apron and hung it up before walking over to Jake, "Watch out for Holly, dude, she's breaking a lot of shit today. Don't let her stand on that stupid shelf in the back, I've had to fix it twice today." Jake nodded and shook his head, "Man, go hang out with your girl, she's obviously waiting for you," he said with a smirk, winking at Chelsea. Bo smiled and nodded, moving over to his girlfriend and sitting next to her. "So where did you want to go?" he asked softly. "Because we could go find something new, like the park or something like that."

Chelsea winked back at Jake and sipped her hot chocolate as Bo hung up his apron and came back to sit with her. "I think we should leave this place before it drives you crazy and the park actually sounds nice, it's nice out." She searched out his hand. "Do you want to go home and change, get into something comfortable?"

Bo smiled at her and nodded, "Yeah I think so too. I'm actually really tired of being here right now, which is weird for me. Usually I love it." He took her hand when she looked for his and he smiled, "Yeah, I do. I'm tired of these clothes. You don't mind if I take a quick shower? I really need to get clean. I feel like a dumpster, I probably smell like one too," he said making a cringing face. "If I do I'm sorry... That's gross...."

Chelsea waved her free hand. "No, you don't smell like a dumpster and I don't mind at all if you went and took a shower. Coffee smells nice every once in a while, but smelling like it all the time has to take that awesome meter down a little." She giggled and sipped her hot chocolate. "How about you go shower and I'll meet you by the swings?"

Bo smiled at her and nodded, "Yeah, and I always smell like coffee. Just because I work at a coffee shop. I am an addict, though, I'll admit it. Speaking of which, I'm going to need a cup... I forgot." He laughed lightly and smiled. "Alright, by the swings it is. I can't wait, but first..." He pulled her closer to him so they were almost chest to chest and bent his head down to kiss her lips, focusing all of his thoughts and feelings on what he was doing.

Chelsea giggled before, during, and after the kiss. "Sorry didn't mean to giggle like an idiot." She wrapped her arms around his neck, trying to rid her head of anything that would send her off on another round at giggle fest. "Let's try that again, K." She kissed his lips, this time giggle free and as she pulled out of the fairly intimate kiss, she kissed his cheek and started to back away with her drink in hand. "Get yourself a coffee, go home and change, and I'll meet you at the swings with some goodies, you've gotta be starving." She raised her cup in the air and as she reached the door, she turned on her heels and marched out.

Bo shook his head, smiling lightly as they both pulled away. "Is it really that funny to kiss me?" he asked with a light chuckle." When she said they should try again he smiled and leaned into her kiss, and this time she wasn't laughing. He smiled as he pulled away again and nodded at her instructions. He watched her as she walked away and shook his head lightly before turning to get his coffee and then going home to carry out his instructions, setting his coffee in the microwave to keep it warm as he took a quick shower and changed clothes, then headed back out, by that time his coffee was cooled down, but still warm.

Chelsea went to the diner and ordered a couple sandwiches for her and Bo to snack on while they were at the park. She knew he'd been at work all day and he probably hadn't had anything sustaining to eat. She thanked her sister and then started for the park. She placed the bag of finger sandwiches in the toddler swing and positioned herself on the swings, happy to find they were empty of elementary children.
