Elisabeth took a sip from her water, smiling when he told her his plate was good as well. Setting down the water then, she was grabbing another forkful of her own pasta, when another bite came aiming towards her mouth as well. Her head flinched ever so slightly, tilting it to the side, before letting out a smile and responding back. "I'd love one." and she opened her mouth, taking in the forkful of pasta from Jiro's chewing it carefully, making sure she got each and every flavor of it onto her taste buds. After swallowing then, she smiled up towards him again. "Mm. That's very good." she admitted, bringing up her own fork full of pasta holding over towards Jiro before suggesting, "You should try some of mine."

Jiro smiled at her request and leaned over the table then opened his mouth to accept the creamy treat. Leaning back on his chair he chew slowly and swallowed, licking his lips he grin at her. " Yum" Jiro said reaching for his drink he took a slow sip. "I been meaning to ask you this." Jiro said clearing his throat, he looked down at his half eaten plate. " I hope this isn't so personal..., but why didn't you have a boyfriend when I first met you?" He hoped he didn't cause her any harm when he asked her that questioned. Though it was o dd that someone like her, who was kind, compassionate , caring and not to mention beautiful to be single.

Elisabeth giggled as he took the bite from her fork, chewing it just as slowly as she did. She took another bite of her food as well as another sip from her water then, before being asked yet another question. She had to set her fork and drink down for this one. "Well," she started, biting her lip out of habit, "It's not like I've never had a boyfriend before. Because I have. Once. It was a possibility that it would of worked out too, but then when we moved...it wasn't really working out the way we hoped it would. Long distance relationships just wasn't for us." she explained to him. She wondered if she should say more, but decided against it and just took another sip of her water before ending it with, "We did love each other, but...the more long distance we were, the more we weren't happy about it." she ended with a shrug.

Well that was a mouthful was all he could think after she finished talking, he never really loved anyone before, well other then his family that is. "Oh, are you okay now?" he asked, if she loved that boy like she did she could still be hurting, and if she wasn't he still wanted to make sure she was alright. Hopefully they're relationship wouldn't go down that road. He was happy that she was his now, and no matter how selfish he sounded he actually didn't really care. He took another bite out of his food, now he could see just how hard relationships could be. He didn't expect theirs to perfect he just hoped that it they would last.

Elisabeth nodded in response to him, sipping on some of her water then. "Yeah, I'm fine now. I mean, if we were still together, I would of never gone on this date with you." she smiled to him, "And I'm really glad to be on this date with you...getting to know you more..getting offered a trip to California. It's over-whelming really..but, I'm also flattered." she smiled, noticing she was starting to babble on again, and quickly stopped herself by putting her water glass to her lips, sipping it slowly.

"Well I'm glad that I am able to help you forget." He said giving her a soft smile. He brought another forkful of pasta to his mouth, chewing slowly he swallowed and took a sip of his water. He already plan everything for the trip, he booked a room for them to stay in. Now he was glad he took those extra hours working in subway, it pay much better then he though it would. Taking his last bite of pasta he sigh in satisfaction, " Would you like any deserts?" he asked the girl across from him.

Elisabeth nodded with a grin, finishing up her own plate of food as well during their short moment of silence. After taking that last bite, Elisabeth wiped her mouth with her napkin and pushed her plate towards the edge of the table for the waitress to come get later. "Um..sure." she smiled a bit wider with a small lick over her lips, knowing she could never pass up on dessert, just like her mother. Looking around for a dessert menu, she added in, "I wonder if they have banana splits. Those are my favorites."

He was glad that she accepted his treat without complaning, even if she would have he would have still got it for her. Scanning the menu slowly, "They do it's right under the strawberry cheesecake" he said. He didn't really have a sweet tooth today, so the pecan pie would have to do for now. Setting his menu down, he waited for the waiter to return , he could tell that she is finally but by bit opening up to him.

Elisabeth gazed her eyes down to her own menu, scrolling down to where he pointed it out, and slowly licked her lips. "Mm...my favorite." she grinned, forgetting that he was still sitting there and couldn't help but let out a soft giggle, holding up the menu just under her nose, hiding her slight embarrassment. When the waiter showed up again, asking if they would like any dessert, Elisabeth nodded, repeating to him what she had told Jiro earlier. "I'll have a banana split, please." she smiled, then held up her finger all of a sudden remembering something. "Oh, extra hot fudge, too. If you don't mind." the waiter nodded, jotting it down, and looked to Jiro next for his order of dessert.

Jiro lets out a soft chuckle, he couldn't help but admire the beauty across from him. She really was something special, it made his heart jump every time he lays his eyes on her. "And I'll have the pecan pie please" he said giving the water a quick nod. "So your favorite dessert is banana splits, hmm?" he said smiling. It felt good to know something that would make her just a little bit happy, even if if was just knowing what kind of sweets she favored.

Elisabeth waited till the waiter left their table to retrieve their desserts before glancing back over to Jiro again, giving him that smile that he seemed to have loved so much from her. "Mhm.." she nodded slowly, "With extra hot fudge." she blushed lightly, "I'm, uh..I'm a huge chocolate fan." she giggled lightly.

He made a face when she mentioned chocolate " I'm not to fond of chocolate, it tastes to sweet ." Not only was it sweet but every time he eats chocolate it gives him a massive tooth ache. "Where exactly did you live in California?" he asked, if he planned on not getting lost and not having to ask someone for directions every five minutes, he might as well just take the easy way out, thankfully Elisabeth live there before.

"Aw..Well, I'll have to remember that, in case I ever want to get you something." she mentioned, her blush deepening ever so slightly again. It lighted up a bit though when he went back to the subject of California. "Oh, I lived in Southern California." she told him, a light smile playing up on her lips again. "Why? I mean...where in California were you planning on heading to anyway?" she asked more curiously.

"I'm happy to know that you would do that for me" he said reaching for her hand, he ran his thumb over her soft skin. Smiling sheepishly " Honestly, if you wouldn't have agreed to come with me. I wouldn't be going on this road trip." he told her scratching the back of his head. "And seeing that you now your way around Cali, I would have gone where you wanted to go. "When their desserts finally arrived he nodded his thanks to the waiter. Reaching for his fork he took a bit out of his pecan pie, it was pretty good considering he didn't like sweets.

Elisabeth smiled, her blush slowly creeping back up to her cheeks again, as well as the butterflies fluttering in her stomach again at just the feel of Jiro's thumb stroking her hand. "Really?" she asked, a small giggle managing to escape. "I mean, I'm glad you're going because of me. I just don't know how good of a navigator I'd be. I kind of take after my mom when it comes to directions.." she admitted with a shrug, her smile reappearing then when their desserts arrived. She thanked the waiter, grabbing her spoon, but first grabbing the maraschino cherry on top of the whip cream, munching on that first, before taking a bite of the actually ice cream, licking her lips after.
