“You’re probably the only guy I know who doesn’t mind dancing this close with no malice whatsoever, do you know that?” Georgie grinded into Seph as they continued to dance; his hands were low on her hips as they bumped and grinded to the beat of the loud music. She had to hand it to the club; they had a way better DJ than MABTown that was for sure. Sean couldn’t make it and she had been itching to check out the club since day one of the move so she had asked Joseph and Jackie and Cameron had decided to tag along. Georgie smiled softly, she was impressed by Seph, he kept his hands low on her waist but never tried to cop a feel; he danced with her and some would have thought he was coming on to her but he wasn’t. He still respected her and that gave him a point from Georgie. If he wasn’t as handsome as he was, she would have sworn he played for the other team. Once the song ended, the two headed back to the table. Each step Georgiana took made her sparkly blue mini dress glitter and shimmer in the strobe lights. Her low black pumps clacked softly on the floor as she hurried a bit to catch up to Seph with his long strides. She slipped an arm through his and smiled at him; he returned with a tiny smile of his own. “Thanks for the dance Seph.” He shrugged his broad shoulders and adjusted the dark blue, almost black button down shirt he had decided to wear to the club. The two slid into the booth where Jackie was sipping at her Sprite and Cameron was watching the dance floor, a tiny smirk quirking his full mouth arrogantly. “What’s with you Cam?” Georgie asked as she grabbed her Coke and took a sip of it; suddenly feeling parched after all the dancing she had done. Jackie waved her hand around as if to say it didn’t matter. “Oh, he’s probably just amusing himself with his crazy little thoughts. Come here you silly man and dance with me because grinding with my older brother is just a thought that will not let me sleep at night." Jackie grinned as she set down her glass and pulled Cameron to his feet, dragging him (not unwillingly) to the dance floor. Georgie tilted her head and she could barely see the hyper blond gyrate to the new song the DJ had just put on the speakers, her body clinging provocatively to the little black dress she had shrugged on for the night out. It was also impossible for Cameron to blend in, what with his pale skin and bright red hair sticking out like a sore thumb as he laughed at something Jackie said, holding her close. He too was wearing black and it seemed to make him stand out even more because of his complexion; at least Joseph had a slight tan. Georgiana turned to her companion who was drinking a bottle of mineral water, leaning back into the seat. “So why are you so quiet anyway? I know you’re not shy like your older brother, and that you’re actually a nice guy once they see through your facade… What’s with the mask? I’m pretty sure if you relaxed and opened up a bit, there’d be a hoard of screaming girls flanking your every move.” She watched the boy with curious chocolate colored eyes, a tiny smirk hinting at the corners of her pink mouth. He returned the mischievous look she was giving him with one of his own. “Well, for a lot of reasons but mainly because I want to see who’d bother to look through all that bullshit to find the real me underneath, as you have so cleverly unearthed. And because I don’t want a hoard of screaming girls; that would be terrifying actually.” He shuddered at the thought before returning to his water, watching with amusement as the crowd began to circle Cameron and Jackie.

Troy and Nate, always on the prowl for "chicks", decided to head downtown to check out the club they' been hearing so much about. Natalia overheard their plans and chose to crash their fun. Plunking her beat-up fedora on her head, the led the way to her car. At the club, Natalia left her brother and cousin to have their cheap thrills, immediately jumping out onto the dance floor. "Have fun, boys!" she shouted over her shoulder, already lost in the throb of the music, enjoying her anonymity in this town. Chilling at a table, girl-watching, Nate, in what his cousin called his Hogwart's scarf, and Troy, donning a black button-down, remained casual, having ordered a few drinks. "There you go," Troy elbowed his cousin, reclining his head to gesture with his chin. "Just your type." "I don't have a type." Nate growled at him. "The hell you don't. That girl looks like she could eat you alive. That's right up your alley. Check it out, your ten o'oclock, in the little black number." "Shut up." Smiling to himself, Nate turned his head slightly to his left. Troy was definitely onto something, this girl had fire. As much as he would never admit it to anyone else, he did prefer a girl who could hold her own against him. He watched this one as she danced away, not even caring that there was a crowd of people watching. Wondering if that was her boyfriend or just some random dude, Nate snickered to himself. Like I'm not up for the challenge. He gazed across the room, making his hazel eyes as smoldering as he could, hoping to make eye contact with the feisty blonde.

Jackie hadn't noticed the attention that had suddenly been bestowed upon her but Cameron did and he subtly tightened his hold on her waist, leaning close to whisper his warning. "You're quite the belle of the ball now aren't you?" He said with a soft laugh. Jackie laughed right back turning her head to meet his blue-gaze. They weren't technically family but they did live in the same house and they all had started to form a little knit bond of camaraderie. Besides, his aunt would have eaten him alive if anything were to happen to anyone in their family.
He had noticed the boy sidle his way towards Jackie and he leaned close again. "You're going to have company in a bit, but I'm sure you can handle it right?" His voice was low and gruff against her skin as they continued to dance to the bit. The blond let out a tinkling laugh of amusement as she met his blue eyes with her own. "As if you don't know me Cam; I'll be fine and if he does bother me, I'll eat him alive. Okay?" Cam grinned at him, that silly smirk on his features making him look even better. "That is what I like to hear." And he slipped away, back to their table to steal some of Jackie's drink.

Nate tried to keep the smug look off his face as the red-head pulled himself away from the girl. He took that opportunity to step right into place. "Hey there," he spoke boldly. "Quite a commanding presence you have here. Do you always make everyone in the room watch you?" Squinting across the room at his cousin, Troy tried to read his lips to figure out what corny crap was coming out of his mouth. Frustrated when he couldn't, he looked to where the guy the girl had just been dancing with had gone. The group he saw appeared pretty close-knit, possibly family. Oh yeah, this could get real ugly if Nate does something stupid.

Jackie felt the hands of someone else replace Cameron's large warm ones and she fought back a sigh. Really, was this what Cameron had been warning her about? She plastered a tiny, amused smile to her face as she turned to check out the guy who had the balls to dance with her. "Mmm, I was born with it actually; trust me you should watch my siblings, they've perfected it into an art." She danced with him, testing the waters of whoever this kid was. She had to bite back a laugh though; she was pretty damn sure that he was younger than her and Jackie did not date anyone younger than her. It was far too strange; felt like baby-sitting... Or something a cougar would do.
Georgie propped her foot on Cameron's leg as soon as he slid in and she offered him a tiny smile as he sipped at Jackie's abandoned drink. "Where's Jackie?" Cameron shook his head and smiled. "Eating some guy alive, poor kid." Seph had to snort in amusement at that; as little as his sister was, she was just as volatile as Alex... And possibly even more; no one lived to tell the tale of Sarah Jacqueline Burkeheart's temper. No one.

"I can see that. You look like you have a lot of fun out here. That's what it is, I think. Just having a good time, not caring what anyone else thinks," Nate shrugged, keeping a polite distance between them. Everyone always thought he was a jerk, that he was the type to maul any chick that came along, but the truth was, he was probably more of a gentlemen in the long run than a lot of other guys. He wasn't about to start rubbing up on some girl he didn't even know... regardless of how hot she was. She knows it too. "My name's Nate, by the way. Just moved here. My cousin's and I were looking for the best places to hang out."

Jackie laughed softly; really where was this kid getting his pick up lines, they were terrible! "Well, that's what you do at a club, you try to have fun. And as you can see, I'm enjoying myself... Immensely!" She moved a bit closer; pretty sure that the guy knew what she was truly capable of if he overstepped the invisible boundaries she had put up. "Jackie. And we just moved here too; the club's alright I think. Have you been to Palmer's? Best. Shakes. Ever."
Georgiana shook her head, Cameron was right (as usual). She pushed him out of the booth so she could get out. "I'm gonna go back in there; I don't usually have time to dance so I better use this chance right?" She sauntered back to the dance floor, a grin of pure joy on her beautiful face as she moved to the beat of the new song. It was probably a family thing; they all enjoyed music and dancing, it was a perfect time to just let go and be yourself in the most basic form of the word; moving all on pure instinct.

"Haven't been there yet. Will definitely have to consider your reccommendation." Nate moved a step back when she moved closer. "Glad to meet someone else who's new to town. I never would have guessed that though. Seems like you've got this place dialed in." She was so comfortable in her own skin. That was so amazing to him; he'd felt like a stranger in his own life since his aunt took him in. Glancing over at where her eyes fell every now and again, he saw the guy Jackie had been dancing with earlier, as well as another one to whom she bore a small resemblance. "That's your family over there?" he gestured.

Jackie gave him a serious look when he mentioned Palmer's and she nodded. "Don't just consider it. Go there and experience nirvana; I swear to god I'm addicted to their shakes." She spoke with a laugh. She practically gave him a disgusted groan as he backed away. She took his hands and placed them low on her hips before drawing closer to him. "Nate; we're dancing. Normal people dance close to each other; no malice whatsoever. So freakin' hold me properly and dance like a normal person puh-leeze." Really, why would some guy hit on her back off? She was pretty sure they'd never be anything but friends but seriously, didn't people do things right anymore?
A tiny smile formed on her lips. "Yeah, that's my brother Seph and the guy I was dancing with is the nephew of my godmother. We all live with her here so we're pretty close. The girl who left was a cousin of Cameron, the guy. So where are you from and why'd you move to the quiet Riverside? You don't seem like the type."

Unable to stop the smile the rapidly spread across his face as Jackie described the shakes, Nate just nodded. "I recant my last statement then. I will absolutely go and get a shake a Palmers." He almost jumped as she rearranged his hands. "Hey, we can dance, I just don't want you to think I'm one of those skeevy dudes trying to getting off the whole time." He listened to her point out the members of her family, biting his lip as he followed along the family tree she described. "That's cool that you're all so close. That's kind of how we are," he pointed over his shoulder to where he assumed Troy still was. "That's my cousin, but we're practically like brothers, I've been with them since we were both twelve. We moved from New York. My aunt and uncle wanted to find a more stable place to get old, if I recall, that's how they said it."

She raised an eyebrow, looking him over in a strict fashion before a beautiful smile bloomed on her lips. "Good." Jackie rolled her eyes, geez! This kid was such a walking contradiction! "I'll be the one to decide if you're a creeper or not, thankyouverymuch! And besides, if you were an ass like that I would have kicked you in the nuts and sent you back to wherever you came from. I may be tiny but I do not hit like a girl. My brothers can attest to that fact. Besides, I'm pretty sure you're younger than me Nate." She said with amusement greatly coloring her voice.
She shrugged. "I've known my godmother's kids since I was little; she was best friends with my parents but they passed away so she was given custody. We're glad she got us though because she's probably one of the few adults I know who genuinely care about us. I think that's why we're so close. She's the glue that keeps us together." Jackie smiled a bit at him. "I feel that way with them too; Cameron's like a brother to me. He's the same as Seph and my older brother, silly and ridiculously overprotective. Oh? What did your aunt and uncle do in New York?"
Meanwhile, Georgie had found her way to the center of the dance floor. Her eyes were closed as she continued to dance to the song, a tiny appreciative smile on her beautiful face. She hadn't even bothered with her hair that night; just kept it down, running in waves down her back.

"Note to self, get protective cup," Nate joked, feeling a little more comfortable with this girl, and actually allowing his hand to rest at the small of her back. "But warn me first if your toes are gonna be coming this way, okay? And I can't be that much younger than you. I'm sixteen, and the birthday is coming up." He listened again to the tale of her family life. "That's good, that you have someone in your life like that. My mother abandoned my dad and me when I was a baby, and then when I was twelve my dad died. So I ended up with my aunt, which was cool, but I didn't really know her at the time. It's cool now, I guess, we've had over four years to become a family. Aunt Senia and my uncle were in a band, and right now they run a record label. They decided they don't have to be in the city all the time to do business anymore, so... we're here."

Jackie grinned a bit evilly. "You're definitely going to need that around me, I assure you." She felt his hand on her back and finally sighed. "See? That was definitely not a hard thing to do am I right?" She shook her head and gave herself a mental pat on the back; she was right. He was younger than her. Too bad, he was a cute kid. "Yeah, my birthday's coming up too; I'm turning 18 though."
She nodded. "Kris is really cool about things; she even organized this big picnic/music party thing at the park. You should definitely go; I think there are fliers around town for the details, everyone's invited." Jackie smiled a bit sadly. "Yeah, you never really know what life hands out to you, you know? And there are no do-overs. Are you adjusting fine though? I mean, I know Riverside is tiny and you must be so used to living in such a big city, don't you feel cramped in Riverside?"

"You wanna make jokes about what's a hard thing to do, keep dancing the way you are. I'll be running for that cup so you don't kill me," Perv he chastised himself. "And one year hardly makes you an old lady compared to me."
"My whole life has been about adjusting. As long as I can find something to do, I won't feel cramped. I'm a little worried about finding things to do at night. There's this one theater I used to go to that was open twenty-four hours. And of course all night diners. I just like to know there's something to do, even if I have no plans to do anything."

Jackie raised a brow and made an effort to egg him on even more. She grinded low, an amused smile on her prettily painted mouth. "Oh? Is that all you got then?" She shrugged and shook out her hair. "Well, I know that but I have issues with age; I know it's just supposed to be a number but it's an important number to me." She said with a tiny laugh.
She did feel a bit bad about Nate, he seemed to always be the one to adjust to the changes that life doled out on him in bushels. Jackie smiled a bit at him, knowing the feeling of moving around, her parents had done enough of that. "Well, I'm not sure about a 24 hour theater or diner but I'm sure you'll find something interesting to do around here."
