Max chuckled at her reaction of sticking her tongue at him. "Oh, alright. I'll meet you in the living room." he said playfully, grabbing his keys, phone, and wallet before passing by David's room where he was playing a few songs for Brooklyn, only to tell them that he and Naomi would be heading out for a bit before tonight. David nodded with a sly grin on his face, for he knew as well what was to happen tonight for them. Brothers don't keep secrets from each other they always said.
Max reached out to the living room then, waiting patiently for Naomi and the baby on the couch, with his wallet in his back pocket, phone in his front pocket and keys at hand.

"Hey there baby girl." Naomi said once she got into Arielle's room. She picked up the baby from her bed, who cooed and giggled cutely, causing Naomi to smile as well. "Guess who's getting a baby brother or sister?" She whispered, as she began changing her diaper. She got Arielle dressed, kissing her forehead. "This should be fun." She murmured as she carried her daughter out to the living room where Max was waiting. "Look! There's daddy~" Naomi said, going near Max. Arielle just gurgled, reaching out for Max.

Max glanced at the kitchen clock for the time before he heard a familiar voice call out to him. His grin grew wider then as Arielle began stretching her arms out to him. "Hey there, cutie~" he cooed, poking at the baby's belly, watching her squeal with delight and excitement. "You ready to see your Aunties and Uncles? And, Grandma?" he added in, mentioning Naomi's mother. He was sure she would be more than thrilled to see her grand-baby again, after so long.

Arielle just giggled in response. Naomi bit her lip. "I'll take that as a yes." She commented, shifting the baby on her other hip. Naomi ran a hand through her hair, smiling a bit. "My mom will be thrilled to see her, I'm sure. She misses her." She looked up at Max. "I'm ready when you are."

Max smiled back up to Naomi, twirling his keys in one hand nodding at her comment saying she was ready. "Lets get going then." he grinned, leading her out to his car, unlocking the doors for Naomi to get Arielle settled in first. Till then, Max slid into the drivers seat, settling himself in while waiting for Naomi.

Naomi followed Max out of the door to the car, buckling Ari into her seat. After she got done with that, she made her way to her seat, getting in and buckling herself in. She gave a soft sigh, hoping that Shane wouldn't be home for now. She was sure she wouldn't be able to face him just yet.

Once his girls were all settled in the car, Max started the engine, letting the car slowly roll backwards into the street before pressing his foot on the gas, heading towards Naomi's place. He couldn't help but notice Naomi wasn't looking too forward to going to her house though. And he couldn't help but ask either. "What's going on, Nai?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowed taking a quick glance to her before the road again. "I thought you'd be happy to see your family again?"

Naomi had been staring out the window, lost in her thoughts when Max's voice broke through. She looked at him, shaking her head slightly before turning away again, biting her lip. "It's nothing." She whispered, feeling oddly close to tears. She knew she was acting strange to Max, so she forced a small smile, though it felt, and probably looked strained. "I'm fine."

I'm fine. He heard her say. It didn't sound like she was fine. But he would have to just go with it for now. After all, he didn't want to have to pros-pone tonight's date, but if he absolutely had to, he would. Instead of saying anything then, besides a simple, "Okay", he reached his hand over, setting it lightly on her leg stroking it with his thumb, while he turned onto her street next. Luckily her place wasn't too far from where they were at now. He pulled over to the curb in front of her house, putting the car in park, before looking back at Naomi with his hand still on her thigh. "You sure you're alright? We don't have to go see your family today if you don't want to."

Naomi smiled a bit, feeling closer to tears then she had been before. She stayed silent and kept her gaze out the window on the ride there, placing her hand on his for comfort. When they stopped, she turned to him, a sad look on her face. "I don't know." She said honestly, her voice still a whisper. "I want to see them, I just don't want to see him/." She meant Shane. "I know you said it would be fine, but Shane is...he won't forgive me for this." She had to be careful to choose her words, since Max didn't know about her pregnancy yet.

Max frowned, he just couldn't believe she felt that way about Shane. He did know he was the closest sibling to her, as she was to him. But he figured Shane would understand, at least after Max talked to him a bit privately. He was sure he would understand then. They were best friends. He had to. "Don't worry," Max started out, gripping hold of her hand to add comfort for herself, "I'll have a talk with him, and everything will be alright. You'll see." he tried saying again, his smile growing wider then when they got interrupted by Arielle's cooing and gurgling in the backseat. Max looked back to the baby, laughing. "Looks like someone's getting fidgety already." he chuckled, kissing her cheek, still holding onto her hand. "Come on, everything will be perfectly fine. You'll see." he promised her, holding her hand up to kiss the top of it as well.

Naomi only nodded, looking down. She wanted to believe him, but she just couldn't. But if he felt he'd be able to convince stubborn Shane not to hate her guts for all eternity, by all means, she'd let him do it. She smiled a bit when Arielle started making noise, but it wasn't much of a smile and Naomi felt horrible for being in such a bad mood. "Alright." She finally whispered at his last statement.

Max smiled back when Naomi had finally agreed with him on his part. With that then, Max regrettably let go of Naomi's hand, only to slip out of the car and to grab the baby from the backseat, following Naomi up to the front door, waiting for her to make the first move in the house. "Ready when you are." he said, bouncing the fidgety baby in his arms.

Naomi got out the car when Max did, waiting for him to take the baby and leading him to the front door. She took a deep breath at his statement, shaking her head slightly. She would never be ready. Naomi opened the front door, stepping in cautiously to see if anyone was in. Not seeing anyone, she led the way to the kitchen, where her mom was washing dishes. "Mom?" Mia turned, and immediately smiled. "Naomi!" She went to pull the startled girl in her arms. "I got worried for you for a second, and then I remembered you saying you were going to Max's apartment, and I figured you stayed there." "You aren't angry?" Naomi asked, confused. "Of course not." Mia shook her head. "I was at first, but your 18 and you have a child. Your an adult and allowed to make your own decisions. I do wish you would've talked to me first but I understand." Naomi sighed softly. "Thanks mom. Uh...where's Shane?" Mia's face dropped a bit, and she gave a small shrug. "I don't know. He hasn't been home all day. Maybe you should text him? He keeps asking about you." Naomi shook her head, a look of relief mixed with panic crossing over her face. "We brought Arielle." She said, changing the subject. "Oh! Where is she?" Mia grew excited as Naomi gestured towards Max. "Hi Max. How have you two been?" Mia asked, waving at the baby.

Max went ahead and followed Naomi inside the house and into the kitchen where Mia was. He figured he'd stay quiet for the time being, letting Naomi get back together with her mom and all. When he was finally mentioned then, he took a step forward with a smile and nod, glancing back down at Arielle before looking up at Mia to answer her question. "Hey, Mia. Oh, we've been great. Actually, Arielle's been bouncing and fidgeting all the way over here. So she's definitely excited to be here." he laughed lightly, bouncing the happy, gurgling baby in his arms. "How have you been?"
