"Order up!" shouted the blonde curly haired girl at the counter, handing out drink after drink, snack after snack. She wiped her forehead with her sleeve as she made her way back to the register to take yet another person's order. Before she could get to them though, one of the co-workers called out to her. "'ey! Trinity! Can you cover for me while I go on my break? I'll do the same when you take yours." Trinity nodded quickly to her co-worker, returning back to the customer in front of her, waiting anxiously for her to take his order already.
They were really busy today, and with hardly anybody working behind the counter, they fell even more behind. Trinity continued pacing back and forth, taking and handing out orders for the customers. She just hoped her break was coming soon, because she could sure use one right about now. She also hoped that the shop would slow down a little bit, she wouldn't be able to handle the sight of herself sitting in the corner on her break while her fellow co-workers continued to run around trying to satisfy each customer they came across.

Greg walked into the coffee shop with a sigh. He knew he needed to get a job sometime soon, his mom telling him that everyday was a constant reminder. Unfortunately, Greg wasn't a working type of guy, he was more content with sitting at home doing absolutely nothing. But, in the words of his mother, "You're 17. It's time you get some responsibility and find a job." So, that conversation landed him in the coffee shop.
Greg walked up to the counter, leaning against it and running a hand through his long, black hair. He waited for the girl to bring her attention back to him before saying anything. "Hi." He said to the girl, smiling a bit when she finally looked at him. "Can I get a vanilla latte, and a job application?"

Trinity was handing out a coffee to a customer when the next person in line got her attention with a simple Hi. She turned her attention back to his order then, punching in the order into the cash register, telling him what the price for his vanilla latte would be, but then she heard what he said after. "A-A job application?" she repeated, shaking off her thoughts then, seeing as there was clearly no time for questions. "Oh, um..sure. Hold on." she tried again, turning her back again, in sort of a trot in the back room, grabbing a double sided paper on a clipboard with a pen attached to it, and handed it to the boy, still waiting at the register. "Here you go. Fill this out, and one of us will be with you shortly to give a short interview. We've really been needing an extra hand around here anyway." she shrugged, grabbing the cash from him, and placing it in the register. "I'll let you know when your order is ready, too. Next!"

Greg nodded, pulling the money out of his wallet when she told him the price. He smirked a bit at her momentary startled expression, and thanked her when she handed him the clipboard. He walked over to a table, sitting at it and dropped his head onto a fist, filling out the application.

Trinity continued taking orders, until the boy's drink was ready, where she skipped over to grab the drink and shouted the boy's order number, letting him know it was ready. When she handed the drink to him, she quickly returned back to the line of hungry customers, about to take the next order, when one of the co-workers came up behind her again, tapping her on the shoulder. "I'll take over from here. Go ahead and take your break." Trinity sighed in relief, thanking her co-worker before removing her apron and hanging it up. She turned to grab her lunch from the back room, but then remembering about that boy who was filling out that application. She returned to her co-worker, telling her about it, and how she would go ahead and talk to him, so she could continue taking orders.
Trinity trotted over to where the boy was sitting, a smile on her face as she held out her hand to him to shake. "Hi, I'm Trinity. I'll be interviewing you today." she smiled, sitting down across from him, taking a bite of her apple before continuing. "Sorry for eating in front of you, by the way. I'm on my lunch break." she shrugged with a light giggle. "So...let's get this started. Tell me about yourself, and why you decided to apply for this particular job."

Greg was almost finished with his application by the time his number was called. He took his drink with a thanks, going back to his table. He sipped on the coffee while he finished his application, getting done with it just before Trinity came over to his table. "It's alright.' He said with a smile. "My name is Greg. About myself? Well, do you want me to lie, or tell you the truth?" He chuckled a bit. "To be honest, I'm not a very hard worker unless I absolutely have to. I'm rather lazy a lot of the times. I applied for this job because it seems like it would be something I can handle. Although," He paused, glancing around. "It seems like this is a pretty fast-paced place. Plus I need money."

Trinity took another bite out of her apple before giggling again at his little joke. "Well, I sure hope you would tell the truth." she grinned, returning then to her seriousness, even though a smile stayed on her lips. Without looking around as Greg did, Trinity nodded, closing her eyes for a brief moment before opening them again to explain. "Well, its only fast-paced here when it gets super busy, like now for instance. But, on an average day, like, when school starts, the place will start to slow down again and won't be as fast-paced as it is today." she told him, crunching on another bite of her apple, not taking her shimmering blue eyes off of him however. "How many days, or what days of the week would you be able to work? Oh, also, have you any experience with work at all, in any way whatsoever? I know you said you're lazy, but I have to ask that question." she shrugged, giving off another light giggle.

"I can work whenever you need me. Ahh, except the weekends." He said, taking another sip of his coffee. He was glad she found him funny and hadn't taken his question seriously. "I have absolutely no work experience. I mean, unless you count selling pictures to the local newspaper."

Trinity nodded. "That'd be perfect actually. We would need more people working the weekdays anyway. I, unfortunately, work the weekends, unless of course they desperately need me such as today." she explained again, stopping herself before saying much more, as she remembered that this interview was about him and not her. "As for the newspaper thing. I'm sure that would count. Whether you make money or not, or if you volunteer or not, its still work and responsibility to some level." she smiled, "Um...oh, how are you with dealing with people? You know, customers and such."

Greg nodded as she talked, glad that he hadn't screwed up the interview yet. "Uh, I'd like to think I'm pretty good with dealing with people. Living in such a huge family kinda forces you to be patient." He smiled a bit.

Trinity took her last few bites of her apple, while listening intently to what Greg was telling her. "Oh, really? Well, that's good to know then." she grinned, sliding the application over to her side of the table, looking through it once more before lifting her head back up to him curiously. "How big of a family do you have? Not that it matters, but I'm curious."

"Ohhh..." Greg frowned a bit as he tried to think. "I have...14 siblings, 2 nieces and a nephew." He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "We have a pretty large house. My mom...can't help but adopt kids." He chuckled a bit.

Trinity couldn't help but giggle right back. "I know what that's like. I have a father who's just the same. Adopting, that is." she shrugged, holding up her smile though. She was about to say more, but was interrupted by a light nudge to her shoulder. Her boss had walked by, happening to overhear how the interview was going along. Apparently, Trinity was getting off topic, causing her boss to clear his throat signaling her with a simple, Ahem. Trinity bit her lip, returning back to Greg when her boss finished passing by. "Um...well, I think that's it for now. I'll go ahead and give your application to my boss to show, and we'll be sure to call you whether you got the job or not." she told him, standing up from the table, holding her hand out to shake his hand again. "It was really nice meeting you, Greg. I hope to see you again real soon." she smiled, gathering her lunch together as well as the application under her arm getting ready to head back to work, seeing as her lunch break was just about over.

"I never understood why she adopts so much, but I'm glad she did. I wouldn't have a home otherwise." He looked up when her boss walked by, grinning a bit. Greg nodded, smiling. "Alright. Thank you." He watched as she stood, sipping his coffee. "It was nice to meet you too." He lingered a bit, since he wasn't quite finished with his coffee, and he wondered when she got off work.

Trinity gave Greg one last smile before turning back to her job. As she was tying her apron on again though, one of the co-workers came up to her with a smirk on their face. "What?" Trinity asked the brunette, with innocence clear in her blue eyes. "You know damn well, what." Trinity furrowed her eyebrows, then dropping her jaw soon after. "Wha--? No, Sarah..I'm not! Why would I-- I have a boyfriend, remember?" The co-worker, known as Sarah, wasn't fooled though. "Yes. But do you remember that? I know that look, Trinity." Trinity simply shook her head, and turned away from her, returning back to her job.
Another hour past by then, and just as Trinity was packing up the place, getting ready to close the shop, she noticed Greg was still wandering around the place. "He's still here?" Sarah noticed as well, nudging Trinity while clearing her throat at her purposely. "What?" Trinity asked, waiting for the brunette to pass before she headed in the back one more time to let her boss know about Greg and the application he filled out. With his response, Trinity skipped back out, heading for Greg's direction, slowing down her pace as she met with him. "Hey, I didn't know you would stay till closing. What, do you need this job desperately or something?" she giggled in a small tease.
