Gracie nodded as he said that his twin had known. It made sense, she wished she could have those same senses Monte had with Avery. Sure, she had them with Tally, but it would be better with Avery, then she could help him even when he did t tell her what was wrong. She listened intently to his story, not interrupting until he said something about Malachi a d then she asked a short question, "Malachi knew and he didn't tell me?" she asked softly. She didn't understand what was going on, but she knew she didn't like it. She took his hand as he apoplogized and kissed the top, then his palm. She looked over at him and sighed, "I believe you, Avery. I'm not entirely sure why, but I do. I know that I probably shouldn't, but I'm trusting you, because I love you." She kissed his hand again and looked at his face, tears filling her eyes as she did. He looked ashamed and hurt and she wished she could fix it. She got up and stood right in front of him, putting her hands on his thighs, watching his face still. "How can I help now? Right now?" she asked hoping to get and actual answer although she figured he didn't have one.

Avery looked at the floor with her question and her statement about believing him, the way she said it sounded like she didn't want to believe him or something, but he couldn't blame her for that, he'd kept things from her. "I asked Malachi not to tell you, but he said if I didn't keep his promise he would tell you." She kissed his hand and he looked up at her. "Your forgiveness is enough." He felt really small around her. "I'm sorry, I love you, and I didn't mean to hurt you." He put his hands on hers and his frown deepened, he felt awful about what he'd allowed to happen, but apologizing for it made it feel like it had been his choice and though he felt like he needed to apologize to Gracie, he hated how conflicted he felt.

Gracie nodded when he said he'd asked Malachi not to tell and smiled up at him as he put his hands on hers. She licked her lips and shook her head, "Don't apologize, I believe that it wasn't your fault. Sara was crazy in the end. She looked at me like she hated me, I guess I didn't tell you because she was your friend and everything, and I guess I suspected that she liked you, I just didn't think it was to that extent..." She sighed and leaned forward to kiss his cheek. "I'm sorry that I didn't realize it." She kissed his cheek again and then his neck. "This isn't what we need to be worrying about, though. We need to help each other through right now, so please don't keep your mind on this for too long, everything's forgiven. Do you want to get something to eat with me?"

Avery nodded, her smile warmed him up and her lips against his neck felt glorious. "I wish it hadn't happened, I wish I had made my intentions clearer to her. Did you go to the funeral?" He asked, strangely not getting emotional over Sara's funeral like he had with Cadence and Martin.

Gracie licked her lips and shook her head, "No, I went to the showing, just to give Malachi a hug and to make sure he was okay, but I didn't go to the funeral..." She sighed and sat down next to him again. "I'm tired of funerals. After Cadence and Martin I don't think I can ever do it again..." She licked her lips and sighed lightly before she leaned against him. "Did you go?" he asked.

Avery shook his head. "I didn't go to the viewing or the funeral. I went to Ryan's and Lace's, but I couldn't go to Sara's." He frowned. "She was my best friend, but she messed me up, I couldn't even go to give Malachi and her family support." He laid back on her bed and stared at the ceiling. "I shouldn't have even gone to Lace and Ryan's funerals, but Zane needed help and Lace was always so nice to me, so I went to pay my respects. Michael probably thinks bad of me now for not even attending my best friends funeral, but it was too hard." He looked at Gracie. "Yeah sorry, let's go get something to eat."

Gracie nodded listening to him. She licked her lips as he laid down and looked down at him. She understood what he meant. Had she been in that same position, she wouldn't have been able to do it either, especially after being put through what she'd found out Avery was today. She shook her head, "No, he doesn't think badly of you. He must have guessed that it was just too hard, its difficult for everyone." She ran a hand through his hair, which would soon be gone, and sighed. "Don't be sorry, baby. Where do you want to go? That diner? Is there a pizza place here?"

"I don't think there is a pizza place, the diner is fine though." He sat up and wrapped his arms around her, giving her a hug. "I feel awful." He hugged her tighter and kissed her neck. "You think this feeling will go away?" He chuckled. "I don't want this to rule my life forever, I'm going to Boot camp in what five months?"

Gracie smiled, "Alright, the diner it is then." She looked away from him and to the clock, it was only about one, so it might be busy, but it wouldn't really matter. She smiled once again as he pulled her into a hug and she let out a very soft giggle. She nodded, "Yeah, I think eventually it will go away." She looked down and kissed his hair softly, "I love you and no matter what happened with Sara, I still love you, okay?" She kissed his hair again, "And I think bootcamp will kick any dumb feelings out." She pulled his face up by the chin and kissed his lips softly, "And by that time I'll make sure they're gone anyway."

Avery kissed her back, but didn't deepen in just in case she wasn't happy with him. "I hope you're right because this dumb feeling sucks." He picked her up and stood with her in his arms. "How are you going to make sure they're gone?"

Gracie smiled as he picked her up, "Oh, I'll think of something," she said before she kissed his jaw, then his ear and then his neck. She ran a hand through his hair and then moved her face back to being level with his. She leaned forward and kissed him softly on the lips. "I promise you there won't be any insecurity left in your body by the time you leave for BT, alright?" she asked quietly, putting her other hand on the back of his neck and massaging gently.

This was the way things were supposed to go, his body was only supposed to betray him to the girl he loved as it was doing now, it never should have done so with Sara. "You think you can work your magic and make it so I don't feel insecure by the end of the day?" He raised an eyebrow. He wasn't sure it was possible, Sara was brutal and even with her gone, she still haunted him.

Gracie grinned at his question and kissed him again, "I can sure as hell try," she said before she leaned over to one side so that they both fell down onto her bed before she kissed him once again, one hand still massaging the back of his neck lightly with her right hand as her left hand moved up to the right side of his face. She pulled back and looked at him, "If you think you can start to let it go," she said. "We both have to work on it." She leaned forward and kissed him again. She knew that was the only way it would work because that's what she had to do after their bathroom mishap, she had to let it go while he helped her to see what she couldn't.

Avery turned his face into her hand, enjoying it's presence. "I will certainly try." He ran his cheek against the palm of her hand and then moved to kiss her lips. He wasn't going to hold back, he wanted to kiss her and make her see that he loved her and that he could stop thinking about Sara and his issue, that anything and everything that happened with Gracie would be remembered and cherished, whereas what happened with Sara would be pushed back and forgotten.

Gracie smiled as she watched his face turn into her hand. She thought that it was a sweet gesture, not to mention adorable. She smiled as his lips moved back to kiss her's and she returned it easily, just wanting him to forget about everything bad that had happened. She wanted to forget about everything bad that had happened. The hand from his cheek moved down to his shoulder and then his arm so that she could hold his hand. She wanted him to realize that no matter what he did in life, whether it be fighting with her or leaving for the Air Force, she would be there, forever.
