(ha, no, it was auto correct, would have been cool if it had fit in. Changed it though. And sure.)
Garret slammed his hand against the screaming alarm clock and jumped out of bed, grabbing a towel off the stack on his desk and went straight for the shower. Grady moved out of the way, towel wrapped around his waist as the door slammed shut in his face. He'd never seen his brother up at this hour, let alone moving as fast as he was. Garret showered, shaved, brushed his teeth, and made a B-line to his room, almost taking Grady out again. "Dude, you know it's 5:55 right, not five minutes til the bed right?" Garret replied by slamming his door closed, changing quickly and with car keys and book bag in hand he left and pulled in front of Izzy's house with a minute to spare. He used that minute to figure out what he should do, should he go to the door or just sit in his truck...

Doll hadn't even bothered to wait for a call from Garret; she was too tired to do anything but take a shower and go to bed, knowing she'd have to wake up early the next day. She didn't mind sleeping early though since it meant she'd see Garret Walker again and for some reason, that thought made her fall asleep with a smile on her face.
She had always used her phone as an alarm clock and the annoying trill of the phone made her jolt awake in surprise even if she had used the same exact tone for the past 6 months. Izzy stretched as she shut off the alarm and checked the time, glad that she still had enough time to get ready. She grabbed the clothes and undergarments she had decided to wear: a pair of jeans, a red racerback tanktop and a cream colored hoodie with red embroidery on its oversized hood, before heading to the bathroom to take a quick hot shower before drying and dressing. Izzy brushed her teeth before drying her hair and brushing out the thick locks before heading back to her room for her bag and the books she would need for the day before practically running down the stairs. It was exactly 6am then and when she checked the window, she saw Garret's truck pull in and she grinned as she opened the door and made her way to him. Once she reached the car, she opened the door and slid in, grinning. "You're on time; I'm impressed."

Garret jumped when he heard the truck door open and put his hand over his chest, taking in a deep breath he glanced at her and then started the truck back up. "I'm impressed that you managed to sneak up on me and scare the living daylights out of me." He chuckled and shook his head, his heart rate finally going back down to a normal rate. "I'm actually impressed that you're ready and not still standing in the mirror trying to perfect your hair."

Doll feigned a serious look. "As if you didn't know... I thought Aya would have told you. I'm part ninja, you know." She waggled her eyebrows playfully and grinned widely at Garret. "Sorry; not the kind of girl to fret about my hair when I know it's beyond help. It will always be a mess by the end of the day." She shook her head as she ran a hand through her untame-able curls. "I mean, yeah I run a brush through it before I go out, but I don't spend painstaking hours trying to keep it tamed when it obviously isn't meant to be." Doll thought about it some more; she had always been the type of person to accept the way things were supposed to be; she had never been one to change herself to please a person. Sure, she was more careful in how she dressed to avoid being teased, but she had never fretted about her appearance for a specific person or guy. She put her elbow on the door and rested her chin on the palm of her hand. "So... Coffee?"

"Oh me neither." He ran a hand over his short hair and gave her the utmost serious look he could muster. "My hair just becomes a rat nest by the end of the day I don't even bother with the brush." A small grin touched the edges of his lips and he started the truck back up, taking one hand away from the steering wheel after putting the car into drive to take her left hand in his. "It was supposed to be birthday cake lollipops but if you want coffee too I suppose we can get some...geez." The touch of a smile reappeared and grew to a full grin. "So how'd you sleep? Did you have any dreams about me last night?" He asked, stealing a glance in her direction. "I know I dreamt about you, had to get up and change the sheets..." He was joking, he'd slept like a rock, no dreams, wet or otherwise.

Doll looked at him and tried her hardest not to laugh but ultimately failed, bursting into peals of laughter at the serious look on Garret's face. She shook her head as he slid his hand into hers and she responded by squeezing it affectionately. "Yeah well what goes perfectly with cake? I think coffee, so I guess it's perfect that we're going to a place that sells both." She waggled her eyebrows playfully at his question, her smile widening. "Hmm, maybe a dream or two. I can't particularly remember what it was about but I do remember something about handcuffs..." She raised both brows innocently and smiled; she hadn't had any dreams she could remember. All Doll did know was that she slept soundly and without any disturbance. If she did have a dream that involved Garret and handcuffs, then that was something her subconscious would never tell.

Garret scrunched up his nose. "Nope, I think ice cream goes best with cake, but I highly doubt they sell ice cream so I'll just have to deal with coffee." He winked at her when she mentioned handcuffs. "I guess you're not as innocent as you look." He squeezed her hand. "Are you one of those innocent looking girls who brings out the leather costumes and cat ears when it's time to get down and dirty or do you just play around getting a guys hopes up and wind up being just as innocent as you seem?"

Doll laughed softly. "Naah, honestly I don't think I can decide. I love pastries with coffee in general, and you know how much I love cake and ice cream together..." She shook her head as she ran her free hand through her long hair. "Well you know my weakness and I hate to admit this but I am easily bribed." She snorted in amusement at his question. "Well, I'm not going to deny that I'm not as innocent as I look... But I swear to you, you'd have to pay me big money to get me in a leather costume and cat ears." Doll laughed again in amusement; she couldn't really picture herself in that get up and the thought just seemed so funny to her. She quirked a brow curiously at Garret, a slow smile curving her full mouth. "Are you trying to tell me, Garret Walker, that you're into that sort of thing? Leather costumes, handcuffs and cat ears?"

Garret chuckled. "No way." He shook his head. "I'm not really into the leather costumes, cat costumes, and role playing in the bedroom, but I'll try anything once and that one hasn't come along yet, so if you wanted..." He let a sly smile on his face, he was mostly insinuating that he wanted to get her into bed some day, but without the costume crap. "Anyway...." He chose to change the subject back to coffee and cake, just so he didn't get punched in the head and wind up destroying his vehicle. "So, what kind of coffee goes good with cake?"

Doll bit her bottom lip briefly as she fought to keep the huge grin from breaking her face. She raised both eyebrows at Garret and bit back a laugh. "Are you trying to tell me through that barely veiled proposal that you want me in your bed, Garret Walker?" She shrugged lightly as she looked out the window, knowing they were close to their destination. "I dunno actually... I'm not addicted to coffee like some of my relatives are." Her first thoughts on that were her Aunt and Xander and she smiled a bit at the memory of them arguing over coffee beans. "I like my coffee creamy though... Not very sweet, but usually a lot of milk in my coffee. I think that's why I like lattes so much actually. What about you?"

Garret grinned and shrugged one shoulder. "I might have been, but I'm more interested in what you think..." He gave her a glance and then shrugged both shoulders. "I don't usually drink coffee, but I guess the sweeter and less like coffee it tastes the better." He grinned. "I'm man enough to admit that I can't stomach black coffee."

Doll laughed and smirked at him, "Well you're going to have to earn that answer, aren't you?" She smiled, most if not all of her family members were coffee drinkers though it was probably impossible to beat her Aunt Kris' addiction for it. "You should try the way Thais make their coffee. Black coffee with a lot of condensed milk." She looked straight ahead and saw the Starbucks they had been heading to and smiled. She checked her watch and smiled. "Cool, we're early. I thought we'd be a little late for school but I think we won't be."

Garret shrugged a shoulder. "I guess I will have to earn that answer, you going to give me a hint at how I can obtain that answer?" He pulled into the Starbucks parking lot and shut down it down. "I'm still not sure that's sweet enough." He took the key out and got out of the car to wait for her. "I would have got us to school on time, but yeah now I don't have to worry about a speeding ticket and more detention sentencing."

Doll shrugged in a vague manner as she undid her seatbelt and shouldered her purse before stepping out of the car. "Well; if I give you a hint I'm sure I'd give the answer away. Spend some time with me... I'm sure you'll figure it out." She winked teasingly at him before sliding her hand through the loop of his arm. "Shall we?"

Garret appeared mildly offended, but recovered as her arm slipped through the loop of his. He nodded his head and led her toward the entrance. "Exactly how much time would you say I have to spend with you to obtain this answer I seek?" He pushed the door open and was pleased to see that the line inside wasn't unbearably long, giving them far more time to waste together before they would be separated by the tyrants that ran Riverside High. "I'm an impatient man, I bore easily, you promise you won't make me wait too long for the answer, you know in case my only other flaw rears it's ugly face." He leaned in awfully close to her ear, his nose light brushing against the soft skin between the back of her ear and her hair line. "I'm not incredibly bright, especially when it comes to deciphering puzzles."
