Today was Riverside High’s last major game of the season. And Eric was on fire! Every Time their team was on defense, Eric always managed to swing his lacrosse stick over the opponent's head, psyching them out before stealing the ball away and sprinting back to the opposite side. GOAL! They were now one goal away from winning the whole thing. The coach called a timeout then, with ten seconds left to spare on the clock. He switched some people from the benches to in the game, except for Eric. He stayed where he was at. Obviously, the coach had a plan to win the game, and Eric was a major part of it. Once they had it covered, the boys ran back out in the field, holding their sticks up at the ready for when the referee blows the whistle again. Eric looked over his shoulder, taking a quick glance up in the stands seeing Beverly yelling for him. He also saw another familiar face. Batari. He wasn’t expecting to see her at his last major game of the year. Then again, he did offer her to come down to cheer him on anytime. Eric’s lips turned up into a smile before shaking his head back in the game when the whistle blew and the ball flew in the air.
Eric nearly tackled one of the guys over for the ball, and started sprinting across the field, passing it to his teammates every once in a while before he was in sight of the goalie. He lifted his stick behind him and swung out, the ball leading straight for the goal. The goalie stretched out for the ball, but just missing it. Riverside had won the game! The crowd cheered on, and two of the guys on the Riverside team lifted Eric onto their shoulders with the rest of the team chanting in celebration.
After the commotion ended, the team went back in the locker room to change as well as celebrate some more. Eric seemed to have rushed though, getting back into his street clothes faster than the other guys. Mostly because he wanted to meet up with Batari. Hopefully she hadn’t left yet. He really wanted to see her.

The day Batari told Eric she'd see a game of his, she never expected she'd end up hooked on it. She had looked up some information on Lacrosse before going to his game, but she had been unsure of it before going. Now, she was a regular fan, yelling at the referee and players like any other guy in the stands. She had even gone online to watch professional games, her siblings had starting teasing her, saying she was becoming more manly than Akio. She waited outside by the locker room's entrance, having the ulterior motive to get Eric to walk her home.

As soon as Eric was showered and dressed, he ruffled up and shook out his wet hair, grabbed his bag and headed out. A couple of the guys tried stopping him a few times, wondering what his hurry was, but he casually just shook them off and continued on his way. He nearly ran into Batari on his way out then, only half expecting her to be there. "Oh, hey. I saw you in the stands. Didn't think you would make it." he grinned, opening himself up for a quick hug. "How'd you like it?"

"You were awesome!" She said excitedly, though not very loud. "That one guy on the other team was a jerk! I can't believe the referee didn't call him! It's so frustrating sometimes!" She took some deep breaths, then laughed. "My gosh Eric, what did you turn me in to?"

Eric laughed at everything she said. He wasn't quite expecting Batari to be like, his number one fan or anything. But then again, who said that was a bad thing. "Glad you enjoyed the game, then." he laughed. "But that's Lacrosse for ya. Actually that's sports in general. Ref's make stupid calls for stupid reasons all the time." he sighed, deciding it was time to change the subject. "So anyways...." he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as they started walking, "How have you been lately?"

Batari blushed at the sudden contact, but smiled as well. "I've been good." She told him simply. "You must be hungry, right? Let's go eat something!" She told him, once again getting excited in the cutest way.

"That's good." Eric smiled simply, grinning even wider at her next suggestion. "Oh, I'm starving!" he shouted, exaggerating his head back. "I swear, I could probably eat a whole pizza if I wanted to." he exaggerated again, laughing. "But...I suppose I could leave you a few slices if you wanted." he chuckled. "I mean, unless you prefer something other than pizza. Just as long as its close. Cause I don't think I could wait that long..." he explained with a smirk.

Batari shook her head, "Pizza sounds good." She punched him playfully on the shoulder, barely even strong enough to pretend to hurt. "You better save me some. It's a lot of work to be a sport fan, you know." She told him a playful laugh.

Eric gave a small laugh as she punched his arm. "I'll sure as hell try my best then. You must have worked hard screaming your lungs out for me, huh?" he chuckled again, moving his arm from around her shoulders down to her hand, gripping onto it gently with a smile kept across his lips.

Batari smiled as she bit her bottom lip. "mmhmm." She replied simply, letting her hair fall in her face to hide the blush as he grabbed her hand. She gave it a small squeeze, deciding this was officially the best position to ever be in with someone she had a crush on.

The rest of the walk got a little quiet, but luckily, it wasn't too much longer till they were at the pizza parlor. Eric let go of Batari's hand momentarily to open the door for her, and went in after. He wrapped his arm back around her shoulders then as he looked up at the menu. "So...what do you like on your pizza exactly?"

Batari only had to think for a second before knowing exactly how she liked her pizza. "Chicken and garlic with garlic sauce! It's really good!" Her eyes drifted from the menu over to Eric. "Have you ever tried it before?" She asked him curiously.

Eric did a double-take over to Batari when she mentioned what she liked. "Really? No I haven't, but it seems like I'll have to try it now. A guy like me always tries something at least once." he chuckled, turning back to the register making their order adding in two drinks before paying for the both of them. "I'll get the drinks while you find us a place to sit, kay? What do you want?"

"Diet coke, please." Batari told him simply, finding a nice booth for them to sit at. She sat down and watched Eric as he got the drinks. This was nice, she was hoping he'd have time after the game to meet up, even though she had no clue what to do on a... was this a date? She blushed a little and covered her mouth with her hand, too shy to ask him, but a part of her wanting to know.

Eric nodded and went ahead to get the drinks, getting some regular cola for himself. He met up at the table Batari chose and slid her drink over to her with a friendly smile, and sat down across from her. "So....you enjoyed the game, did you?" he asked, sort of awkwardly, as he didn't want there to be an awkward silence to begin with. "Did you see that fight I nearly got into with the other player? I would of totally knocked him out if the Ref hadn't pulled us apart." he continued to babble, not really sure of what else to talk about. He was pretty awkward around girls, seeing as he's never been on a....was this a date? And that he's never had anything close to a girlfriend before.
