Rest stop in Tennessee. I found where the ignorant fucks of the world meet for donuts and coffee. Spewing rhetoric I thought was reserved for Westboro Baptists and lunatics like that. So you can hide behind the bible, we still know you're fucked. Inbreeding can claim this one. So chalk it up. These small town minds stay small, the world evolved so stay in your shit hold. “I’m so tired of school!” Sophia exclaimed to the lunch table. Gage simply tossed his arm around her, letting it rest on the back of her chair. He wasn’t one to say much about anything, that took too much effort and usually he could express what he wanted to say in ten words or less, most of the time less. The rest of the table consisted of their friends, Devyn Mondego, who he had a hunch had a bit of a crush on him. Which he used to his advantage. Tyler Arthur was there along with Gage’s own younger sister, Hollis, who was pretty cool for the most part. A girl named Mia was there today, she switched from table to table, depending on the day. Some days she sat with Devyn, other days she decided to sit with Devyn’s identical twin, Harper at a different table. The only freshman that sat at their table was named Keagan and he was some sort of surfer, he thought he was all that, and maybe he was, but Tyler had taken quite a liking to him, so they let him sit with them. The last member of the table was Gage’s best friend, Kash. He was a man of few words, much like Gage was himself. They’d gotten so close that they could read each other’s minds and speak without saying anything at all most of the time.

“Everyone’s tired of this place, little cousin,” Julian said as he walked up behind her with a grin on his face.
Sophia rolled her eyes, “I’m older than you, Julian,” she said, giggling lightly as she leaned into Gage a bit. Julian gave the other boy a look, but kept his thoughts to himself. “Yes, but you’re smaller in body mass, so therefore, littler.”
“Whatever, what’s up?” she asked lightly, looking up at him from where she sat.
Julian grinned lightly, “Just wanted to let you guys know about a party at Connor and Kyle’s tonight. No parents, it’s gonna be pretty sick,” he said, giving Mia a glance and letting his eyes linger when they met hers. He looked back over to Gage and licked his lips, “You think you can pull through with a little bit of Alcohol?” he asked lighty.
“Have I ever disappointed?” Gage said, less that ten words.
“Not to date,” Julian replied. “Alright, see you later then.” He then made his way back to what looked to be the popular table. It housed Molly Howard, Brooklyn Parrish, Connor and Kyle and then some girl named Arielle.

Kash looked at Keagan with a grin, “You up for a big boy party, frosh?” he asked deviously, which couldn’t possibly mean anything good.
“He’d better be,” Gage said simply, glancing over at Devyn with a smirk before he looked down at Sophie who’s hand was now on his thigh while he gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek, which caused her to blush lightly.
Keagan who never seemed to turn away from a challenge gave them a look and then flashed a brilliant, cocky grin. “Of course I’m ready. Have I ever disappointed?” he asked, using Gage’s question from a few minutes ago.
“Don’t do that,” Gage said simply. Simple instructions for a simple boy, right? “Just make sure you don’t spew, hot shot.”
They had kind of turned Keagan into a punching bag of sorts. He would do anything they told him to, probably just trying to fit in the way that most freshmen do when they first get to high school. The more upper classmen you hang out with the better your reputation, I suppose. Although, when the upper classmen you hang out with were Gage Smith and Kash Yoshida, your reputation could turn pretty mean pretty quick. There were rumors within the freshman class that Gage could crush a kid with his bare hands while Kash stood by and watched, taking bets on how long the fight would last, although none of the freshman had ever actually seen it happen. Keagan probably figured it was better to be in good with them than to get his ass beat.

A bell rang and a groan arose from Sophia, “No more class! Please!”
Gage gave her a smirk and shook his head, “See you after school, babe,” he said before he let his hand slip around to the nape of her neck as he pulled her into a quite intimate kiss in front of God and the entire cafeteria. He dropped his hand from her neck and started away from the table with Kash as the rest of them started to disperse. Tyler snapped his fingers in front of Sophia’s face a few times to get the love struck look to leave her face so she could go to class. He chuckled, “Wake up, love bird,” he joked. He then walked away with Hollis and Devyn, leaving Sophia to walk to class alone, that is until Keagan caught up with her.
“You going to the party Sophie?” he asked.
Sophia rolled her eyes, “Sophia,” she corrected him. “Well Gage is going so… Yeah?” He was really stupid, wasn’t he?
“Cool. Well I guess I’ll see you later, my class is the other way.”
“Whatever,” she said. He really got on her nerves, she didn’t understand why Gage and Kash kept him around, it wasn’t like he was that cool and Tyler didn’t even sit there half of the time.

After school Sophia always met him at his car.  Today was no different.  She piled her books into her backpack and made her way out to the parking lot.  A bright smile spread to her face when she saw him leaning against the blue thunder bird.  He looked so hot next to that car.  He was always the perfect boyfriend, he was considerate of her feelings, a gentleman and most of all, he complimented her every day.  Not just empty compliments.  He found something new most days, something about her outfit or her make up and she loved it. 
She knew her father didn't exactly approve of him, he had a record with the police and he was a little bit of a jerk, but with the parents he had it was to be expected, right.  She saw the good in him and that was all that mattered.  

When she reached the car, he put a hand on her cheek and gave her a light kiss on the forehead.  "Have a good day?" he asked genuinely and she replied with a nod.  "Good." 
He didn't say anything more, but she got in the car with him and he drove around aimlessly for a while before parking on a vacant road.  He looked at her and smiled lightly, this was the real Gage, the one he didn't let show at school, the one she knew.  They could talk for hours about everything and nothing and always be content, making out a little here and then a little there, but it was perfect.  It was perfect for Soohie but it was also perfect for Gage.  He liked not having to be guarded with her.  He liked that she really knew him.  She could probably finish his sentences if she wanted to, but she wouldn't because she knew that he thought it was creepy when people finished each others sentences.  It was love in the purest sense, not that either of them knew that, but they stayed in that spot until Gage got a text from Kash that they needed to pick up the stuff for the party.

The party was already buzzing by the time Gage arrived more than fashionably late, toting Sophia, Kash and Hollis in the thunderbird his uncle had given him as an early graduation gift.  His Uncle Edward had a deep love of Thunder Birds, muscle cars really.  He'd helped Gage fix this one up, and it was perfect.  Gage tossed his arm around Sophia's shoulder and started toward the door.  He had a large paper sack full of clinking bottles and Kash had one much like it in his hand.  They opened the door and the party kept bouncing, people dancing, not realizing that the booze had arrived, although most of them were probably already plastered before they'd gotten there.  Gage left Sophia with a kiss and made his way with Kash to find Julian or Connor.  Hollis on the other hand pushed through the crowd to where she had already located Tyler, Devyn and Harper. Sophia let herself dance a little before a very drunk teenage boy started dancing on her.  Moving, she looked over at him, "I'm with Gage," was all she had to say and the boy backed off, knowing that it was better to live than to touch Gage Smith's girl.

The party bustled on and Gage returned to Sophie with a Blue Solo Cup (because red is to predictable) for each of them.  He knew what she liked, Jungle Juice, light on the vodka.  So basically fruit punch with barely any alcohol.  She was a lightweight, anyway, so it didn't take much before she was dancing and grinding with Gage with no accord for the people around her.  She suddenly got very dizzy about two hours into it and he took her somewhere to sit down for a bit.
"I'll be right back, babe," he whispered into her ear and he disappeared into the crowd.  She believed him, why not, right.  Except she fell asleep sitting on the couch, even with everything booming around her.

"Hey," came a whisper in her ear from behind.  Devyn turned sharply, a bit shocked at the voice and grinned brightly as she realized who it was.  
"Ugh!  Gage!  You scared me!" she said with a giggle.
Grinning he shrugged, "Sorry.  You feel like dancing?" he asked.  Hollis was nowhere to be seen, so he swept Devyn away quickly, hoping none of her friends would see.  He pulled her into the middle of the dancers and let her dance.  It wasn't to hard to figure out that she had been into him.  She flirted all the time, offered him homework help and took every excuse she could get to talk to him.  On top of that, she was always shooting dirty looks toward Sophia and with her currently passed out on a couch, he wasn't worried that he would get caught dancing with another girl. Almost any idiot could guess that he wasn't looking for a dance, though.  He turned her around so that she was facing him, still grinding as they moved.  He didn't stop her when she moved her lips to rest against his neck.  Who would?  

He silently wrapped his hand around her waist, pulling her away from the bustling party and down the hallway to an empty bedroom.  She knew what he wanted and started undressing him as soon as he'd shut the door not wasting much time as she dropped his pants and dropped to her knees almost simultaneously.  He wasn't arguing.  He leaned against the closed door as she worked her magic on his lower half.  He decided enough was enough all too soon though and moved her head with a gentle hand to her forehead.  "Undress," he said simply and she did.  He sat on the bed and she took little time relocating herself on top of him, only trying to please, hoping to persuade him away from the girl he always had his arm around.  
He quickly penetrated, and she followed through by starting a rhythm so he didn't have to.  She did all the work and that was the way he wanted it.  The room grew hotter and hotter with the passing moments and there was no turning back.

Sophia woke with a start and let out a sigh.  She had passed out and she knew Gage hated that, especially so shortly into the party.  Better go find him and make it up to him, she thought, that giddy feeling arousing in her stomach at the thought of kissing him.  They had never really been exclusive, but everyone knew they were an item.  It was more of an unspoken than someone having to ask someone else out.  
The giddy, butterfly feeling turned a bit sour as she got halfway across the room and she ran to the nearest door, praying it was a bathroom.  When it wasn't she almost turned around until she realized who it was in the bed and then she couldn't bear to hold it in.

Devyn heard the door open but didn't do anything to slow herself down and Gage had just closed his eyes but when he opened them there she was and he wasn't entirely sure what to do.  He rolled Devyn over and removed himself, pulling on his pair of cut-off skinny jeans as fast as he could, and picking up Sophia's hair as he found a waste basket and held it under her head.  She really couldn't do much about the situation and it bothered her.  Why had he been doing that?  Did she seduce him while Sophia had been passed out.  Sure he hated that but he had never done this before had he?  Maybe she just hadn't woken up in time.  She had no idea and she couldn't help but think it had to be true.  He was a cheater and a liar.  That had to mean that when they spent time together way out on that country road had to be fake.  He was playing her.  She should have known.

Gage glanced over at Devyn who was just laying there shocked and frozen on the bed.  "God damn, get dressed," Gage said sharply, angrily at her.  It was her fault.  Her fault he'd done this, her fault he was so inconsiderate.  For not saying no.  He did it at every party.  Devyn was such a good sport.  So quick and delicious and she never asked for more.  Never threatened to tell.  Just took what she could get of the Silent but Powerful Gage Smith.  This was a disaster.  It wasn't supposed to be that way she wasn't supposed to find out.  It's her own damn fault for waking up too early.  He decided that he wasn't going to feel bad about this.  However subconsciously it was, he was his father's son.  He held her hair and then when she stopped throwing up, he led her to the bathroom and sat her down on the edge of the tub.  He found a wash rag and soaked it in cool water then laid it across the back of her neck.  His hand rested on her cheek lightly, trying to help her feel better.
She didn't understand.  Hadn't he just been cheating on her?  Now he was back to the perfect and charming boy he was just hours before on that old country road in his T-Bird.  She refused to look at his eyes.  They were so impossibly blue and he was so impossibly irrisistable that she knew she'd have no choice but to forgive him.  
There was a horrible monstrous side to Gage.  The side that made him the guy that got the booze.  It made him the guy that cheated and never got caught, until tonight.  Then he turned even more monstrous because even after cheating on her, he was impossibly sweet, taking care of her sickness and just being nice.  
"I hate you," she whispered lightly, quietly so he could barely hear her.  "I really hate you."
He paused for a second, his face cold and hard as stone.  All he said was, "I know."  They said nothing more and he continued to take care of her because she might hate him, but he loved the shit out of her.  That little blonde angel was so hard to disappoint, but he couldn't change what he was.  He was Gage Smith.  He was stone.  He was hard.  He was mean.  That was that.  She could change the private Gage, but the public Gage would always stay the same.

Meanwhile the party raged on outside, Devyn got dressed and returned to her friends who wanted to know what happened.  She figured since Sophia knew now it was fine to tell.  They'd had an agreement, she didn't talk, he continued to sleep with her at parties.  She figured it wouldn't be happening anyway, so she spilled about everything and they were all pretty shocked.  Hollis most of all.  She was quite disappointed in Gage, but more in her best friend.  She shook her head and walked away from the group.  She probably would have walked herself home had Julian not stopped her.  "What's wrong?" he asked, brow furrowed.  Hollis shook her head.  She couldn't say something to Julian.  She didn't want to start a fight.  Especially one that could actually cause Gage harm.  Usually he was smart enough that even when he was outmatched he could win by outsmarting them, but Julian was smart too.  He put his hand around her arm and held her there for just a moment, very loosely.  "Please tell me, Hollis."

She pulled her arm from his grasp, unswayed by his blue eyes unlike most girls at the school and stormed off out the door.  Julian just gave her an odd look and turned around toward her friends who said nothing. He picked out Tyler from the group and he sighed, "Gage and Sophia are in the bathroom."  
He decided to let it go for now, he'd figure it out later.  He looked over at Mia and smiled, "Want to go for a walk?" he asked lightly.  She smiled sheepishly and nodded which made Tyler roll his eyes.  He liked Julian, he just thought it was weird that he could turn any girl he wanted into jello.

Kash on the other hand was watching the party from his usual perch on a barstool.  It was the perfect height to figure everything out, or just people watch.  He was good at that.  When he was younger, his mom used to take he and Ashton out and they would all make up stories about people, what their names were, what they were doing, if they were in love.  It had been a fun game back then.  That was after his mom ha met Tyler he supposed, but not too long after.  She was still her old self.  Before she decided to grow up and act her age.  He supposed that wasn't Tyler's fault though.  It was an indirect occurrence that he blamed on Tyler and his younger sister.  He loved Tyler, and he loved his sister, he had just hoped that one day his father would come to his senses and realize what he'd left behind in America.  He had contacted them a few times, but other than that they each got a gift on their birthday and one on Christmas sent FedEx.  Kash usually threw his away without even opening it.  He didn't want gifts to try to make up for that man not being around.  Ashton always opened hers, and she cherished them all.  The stupid necklaces, bracelets and other things that didn't matter.  One year he got her a set of really expensive artist's markers that she had used until they dried out and even then she didn't throw them out.

He knew that when one goes to a party they're supposed to socialize, but he didn't want to.  The only person he wanted to talk to was Gage and he was usually off fucking Devyn by now.  Kash didn't condone his behavior, but he wasn't going to be the one to stop him either.  
It wasn't like he was anti-social, he could talk to people if he wanted to, most of the time he just didn't want to.  Either way, anyone at these parties were drunk, most of then too young to hold their liquor and not worth talking to anyway.  In all honesty, Kash would rather talk to a girl than sleep with her.  He truly believed that it was the mind and heart that mattered and anything else was in the back seat.  Maybe that was his mother's teaching coming through again, but if any girl came up to him and gave him an offer that most guys would jump at, he would sit there and talk to them for a minute and send them on their way.  Although he was no stranger to sex, he'd had it and he wanted more the next time he got it.  He was maturing if you will.  He use to be promiscuous.  It was fun, but he didn't want that any more.  
Tyler had found out about what Kash had been up to in his earlier years of high school and sat down with him.  He promised he wouldn't tell his mother, because she would have beat his ass for ever treating a woman like he had been, but he asked him how he would feel if someone did that to his sisters and Kash couldn't see it any other way from then on.  Kash had tried to make this point to Gage as well, but it hadn't worked.  Gage had simply said, "Bro, if you wanna sleep with Hollis just do it you don't have to ask me."
