It's been about a week since Caleb moved to Riverside, and already he's explored possibly every inch of it with his loyal companion, Luna. He was surprised that he even got the job at the animal shelter to begin with, but nonetheless, he was thankful for the opportunity. He could use some more money anyway, especially after paying for his small apartment just down a couple blocks from town. After he unpacked his things and settled down a bit with Luna, Caleb thought it would be best to check out the town a little more. Maybe see how the park was, and if there were any friendly faces or even other dogs around to befriend. Luna pranced down the side walk side by side with her owner and his guitar at hand, bouncing about and howling happily every now and then. As soon as they arrived at the park, Caleb was surprised to see it not at all crowded. It was nearly summer, he thought maybe a few kids would be out playing in the sunshine. All he saw though were a couple of small families, mostly couples out and about. He shrugged, trying not to think of what happened with his last girlfriend. It's been three years since their break-up, but Caleb still can't figure out what went on in her head when she broke it off. Luckily, Luna broke off his thoughts with another happy howl, and ran over to a nearby tree, just shady enough for the both of them to sit and relax. Caleb followed the dog's lead and sat down against the wide tree trunk, giving the husky a few pets and kisses before leaning his head against the tree. He pulled his guitar over his lap, and gently placed his fingers around the neck of it, getting the first few notes ready before giving it a light strum. Luna gave a soft howl, as if singing to the tune. "Oh, you wanna sing, Luna? That what you want, girl?" he chuckled, as Luna gave a few more happy barks. "Alright, you got it." Caleb strummed out a few more notes then, before he began to softly sing a song he reprised a few days ago. Luna gave a few howls every few tunes, going along with his soothing voice.

"God I can't wait for school to be over." Justice sighed, running her hand through her currently black hair. She pulled the shorts she'd been wearing down a bit, and adjusted her tank top, keeping her eyes down as she walked the path from her home to the park. There was only a few weeks left of classes, but it felt like the closer they got to summer the slower the year seemed to get. Running her hand through her hair again, she let out a tiny huff and bite the hair band off her wrist, pulling her hair into a ponytail, letting out another huff as a few pieces fell in her face again.
Finally making it to the park, Justice didn't bother looking up as she began walking the path through the park. She'd walked it so many times already this week, it was memorized for the most park. She did glance up once to notice that there wasn't very many people out, though it'd been like that a couple times this week. The sight of so many families and couples though put a tiny frown on her lips and she looked down again, focusing instead of her footsteps. Her thoughts soon fell to what she was going to do for her final in her fashion class, so she didn't notice the sound of a guitar straight away. She did hear, however, a dog barking. Justice looked up and, seeing the husky, slowed her rather fast walking pace until she was barely moving, eyes fixated on the dog. It didn't take her long to notice it's owner. She bit her lip, her eyes traveling back to the dog. If there was one thing that could keep her attention it was animals, dogs in particular. "She's so pretty." She finally breathed.

Just as they were getting to the end of the song, Caleb decided to let the last note play on a usual longer than usual. Just so he could hear Luna's howl grow. At the end of it, he swung his guitar around so it was sitting next to him and grabbed the husky into a hug, getting wet kisses in return. He laughed. "Alright, girl. What d'you wanna do now? I'd say another song, but after that last howl, I think you may want to rest it a bit." he chuckled, getting another kiss to his face. "Oh!" he said, suddenly remembering something. He sat up straighter, and dug into his deep pockets for a rubber ball he kept with him at all times. He raised it over the husky's head and asked enthusiastically, "You want the ball? You want the ball, Lun?" Luna on the other hand jumped back onto her feet with as much energy as the puppy she still was, and barked a few times, in response to Caleb's question, jumping back and forth a few times excitedly. "You want it?" he asked again, "Go get it!" and he through the ball out into the open (and empty) field, and watched as the excited dog pounced off to fetch the yellow ball. "'Atta girl!" Caleb shouted as he watched Luna return back to her owner happily.
After a few tugs of getting the ball out of her mouth then, Caleb stood back up to just now notice someone watching them. A girl. He gave a small polite smile, as well as small wave to her, not noticing Luna still jumping around trying to get Caleb to throw the ball again. He returned his attention back to the dog again, and threw the ball farther this time, giving Luna a bit more distance to run to. He returned his glance back over to the girl then. Was she staring at me? he wondered. Doubt it...Luna always gets looks like that from girls. Of course she wasn't looking at me... Just as Luna was dashing back to her owner, Caleb broke the ice with the girl. "Hey, you wanna make the next throw? I'm sure Luna here, won't mind." he chuckled, leaning back down to retrieve the ball back from the happy husky.

Justice's attention had gravitated towards the guy as he'd finished his song and suddenly began playing with the dog. She'd noticed that the dog was pretty, and she couldn't help but notice that her owner wasn't bad looking at all. She felt a small smile cross her lips when she saw the dog's excitement over chasing a ball though, effectively erasing those thoughts out of her mind. It startled Justice a bit, however, when he waved in her direction, though she managed a tiny wave in return, trying to keep the shock off her face. She hadn't realized he'd noticed her standing there. Justice glanced over when the dog flew past her to fetch the ball, but her gaze always ended back up at the guy. Justice's eyes grew wide when he asked if she wanted to throw the ball next, and she couldn't help the excitement from showing in her eyes. "Can I?" She grinned, walking over to him. She accepted the ball with a small thanks, looking back over at the dog and holding the ball slightly above her. "Ready for the ball~?" She asked before tossing it out into the field, a bit harder than she'd planned. Gratefully it didn't go too far. "What's her name?" She asked, glancing up at the boy.

Caleb laughed softly at her enthusiasm, and tossed her the ball which she soon through, having Luna chase after it with just as much enthusiasm. Caleb looked back up at the girl. For being here just after a week, Caleb's never seen her around before. Then again, it wasn't like he was looking around for any particular girl. "Her name's Luna. She's about three years old." he told her with a friendly smile plastered on his face. He turned back around when he heard Luna run back over barking through the ball stuck in her mouth. Caleb bent down to grab the ball and threw it again. "I'm Caleb, by the way." he said, turning back to the girl.

"She's so pretty. I wish I could have a dog." Justice mused. "Well, my own at least. Our family has a InuShiba named Tyairo." She watched as Luna came running back, a smile still on her face. She watched as Caleb threw the ball again, and turned to look at him. "Nice to meet you Caleb. My name is Justice." Up close, she could see just how cute he was, the thought causing her to flush lightly and turn her attention back to the dog. But not before catching a glimpse of his guitar. "You play guitar?!"

Caleb nodded, smiling back to Luna after he tossed the ball. "Awe, Shiba Inu's are cute. How old is she?" but before he could get an answer from her, she noticed his guitar first. He laughed. "A bit, yeah. I play the piano too, but I personally prefer the guitar over it." he explained, looking back down at his dog who was laying out by his feet waiting for his attention to be brought back to her again. He bent over on his knees again, scratching behind her ears for a moment before she decided to then roll over on her back for a belly rub. "Oh, Luna...you silly girl." he laughed, moving his hands down to scratch her belly next, smiling wider when her leg started doing little kicks in the air.

"You play piano too??!" Justice was starting to find him more and more attractive the more she learned they had stuff in common. "I'm learning piano right now. I'm not very good though..." She followed his gaze to Luna, who was being absolutely adorable. "Oh, Tya is just a few months. Her owners didn't want her cuz she's the runt, and me and my sister begged my mom to take her. She so cute." Justice felt the anger she'd had towards the old owners bubbling up again, but she forced herself to remain calm, turning back towards Caleb. "How long have you had her?"

Caleb had his eyebrows raised while he laughed some more. Clearly, this girl was getting more and more into him now. And not just because he owned a pretty little dog. "Ah, well, I'm sure you'll get better, Justice." he reassured her, taking a small break from rubbing Luna's belly. Although Luna didn't think it was such a great idea as she whined at Caleb and nudged him with her nose. He sighed, smiling at her, and went back to rubbing her belly again. Caleb looked back up at Justice then. "Tya sounds like a really cute girl. Especially when she's just a puppy." he grinned. "I've actually had Luna since she was a couple months too, actually. So, three years I've had her now. I actually rescued her off the streets." he added in quickly and subtly. "Literally, she was just wandering around by herself, I saw her, brought her in to the shelter, helped take care of her and get her back on track, and I just couldn't say no to adopting her. She's a really sweet girl."

"I hope so. I'm kind of teaching myself though, so I'm not getting very good very fast." Justice responded with a sigh, tucking her hair behind her ear. She wondered if he would be willing to help her a bit, but figured he probably wouldn't, considering they just met and all. Justice decided to keep her thoughts to herself, turning to Luna instead, who was begging to be rubbed again. "She is, absolutely adorable. I love her. We're getting another puppy soon too." She glanced over at Luna again, eyes growing wide with his story. "No way! Who would just let a puppy loose like that? It's a good thing you found her." She smiled up at Caleb. "She seems sweet. May I pet her?"

"Sometimes teaching yourself is best. You get to go your own pace." he reassured her again. He was thinking of offering to help, but figured it would be kind of weird considering they just met and all. Maybe he'll offer when, or if, they get to know each other more. Caleb's eyes widened with her sudden outburst then, chuckling slightly. "Yeah, I guess it is a good thing I found her. Who knows what would of happened if I didn't." he moved his hand back behind Luna's ears again so Justice could have a turn of rubbing the husky's belly. "Oh, of course! She always loves a good belly rub from anyone. She is really friendly and sweet after all." he grinned wider, wondering about the last statement she made earlier. "So, what kind of dog were you thinking of getting again?"

"I guess." Justice knew he was right, but that still didn't stop her from wanting help. Justice grinned, dropping down to her knees and rubbing Luna's belly. "Such a good girl." She brushed her hair behind her shoulder again. "We're gonna get another Shiba Inu, a white one this time. But some of my brother's didn't like that fact very much so my mom is getting a black lab puppy too. They're both so cute, we're naming then Shiro and Kuro."

Luna barked in return, leaning her head up to give Justice a couple of kisses before giving the rest of them to her owner. "Ah, haha. I love you too, Luna." Caleb chuckled, leaning over to give her a kiss on the head in return. He turned his attention back to Justice, his grin widening at the breeds of the dogs she was going to be getting soon. "Awe, yeah. Labs are always a good breed to have around. Besides Husky's of course." he added in quickly, rubbing Luna's head as she gave another happy bark. "A white Shiba Inu would be cute though. I don't usually see too many of them around. Actually..." he said as if remembering something, "I do remember the Shelter bringing in one the other day. Around 3 months old, I believe." He realized then that he hadn't mentioned about him working at the shelter at all. It would give her quite the surprise...if she were to be surprised at all, getting to know him like this.

"Ahhh~!" Justice squealed, a giggle coming out after when Luna licked her. "My aunt has a Siberian Husky. I think she's mixed with Wolf, sooooo adorable." Justice agreed, grinning at Caleb. "You go to the Shelter often?" She asked, eyes wide. Justice didn't remember seeing him around there much but then again when she was there she didn't really pay attention to people there since she was always so focused on the dogs. "My sister Jackie volunteers there. She said they got a new batch of puppies the other day. I can't wait to go back and see."

"Ohh~ a Wolf mix, huh? I'd like me one of those." he chuckled, massaging Luna's neck with one hand. "Oh, actually, I work there. I think I've seen Jackie help out a bit too. It was a quick introduction we had though, so I couldn't be sure if it's the same person we're talking about." he explained. "I bathe and groom some of the dogs there too, actually. Kind of a big job I have there, but I could use all the money I could get." he shrugged, pulling off a small chuckle after.
