Heather walked up and down the aisles scanning the bookshelves in the school library trying to find some books she hadn't read yet. It was easier than usual, since her family had just moved here, and she was already carrying five books. She smiled finding a shelf with books that didn't look familiar to her. She looked at them and nodded, knowing, thanks to her photographic memory, that they were in fact books she had never read. She pulled one out and added it too her pile before contently walking over to the desk and checking them out. As she headed over to find a comfy seat to sit in while she read she thought to herself "Two weeks? Six books would never last me two whole weeks." She giggled under her breath as she spotted a seat.

Warren got one of his brothers to drop him off at school so he could use the library and get ahead on the reading for next year. Slamming the door shut when he got out of the car he wasn't in the mood his brother had just had a go cause he thought he would be studying the whole of summer, but what he didn't know was Warren had made a schedule for the amount of time he spent studying and then time to do things that everyone else found interesting like spending the day at the beach, going for a hike around the woods. Sighing he flung his back over his shoulder and pulled out the piece of paper which mapped out the rest of the summer for him. Heading inside the school it was his first time here but he'd looked at the online map of the school so he knew just where his new favorite place would be the school library. Walking over to the librarian he asked where the chemist, physic, biology, maths and english texts books where. Following her directions he found them pretty easy picking the books that he knew they would be studying he made his way back to the counter wanting to check them out but stumbling into a chair which moments later the books spilled everywhere. "Sorry" Warren smiled at the girl whom he'd could have given brain damage to if the books landed on her head thankfully they didn't. Bending down to pick them up he looked up at her for a split second. She didn't look like the type of girl to be studying over summer break but he guessed looks could be deceiving and decided to give her a chance. Afterall he couldn't see anyone else in the library worthy of sparking up a conversation. "I'm warren by the way" he said as he stood putting half of the load of books under one arm the rest in the other as he waited to see if the girl would reply before he walked back over to the counter to check his books out.

Heather stumbled back, almost dropping her own books as his fell. She looked down at the floor and saw that all of them were text books and smiled glancing back up at him, she wasn't used to finding other kids who studied over the summer. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Heather." She started to set her books on the small table next to her as she asked "Would you like some help with those? You've got a lot there."

"It's alright" Warren grinned he really did feel like he had everything under control until the books in his free hand fell from his grasp. "Erm maybe just thoughs few books if you really don't mind"he hoped she didn't and wasn't asking just to be polite like he knew some people could be. "Again I'm sorry I nearly knocked you out, didn't see the chair over all these books I where carrying. So what you reading" warren asked as he couldn't quiet see the title of her book.

Heather giggled and picked up the books. "It's alright, I've done it before too." She grinned "I'm getting a head start on the reading lists. I checked out my text books over the weekend, it was like the first thing I did when my family and I moved in." She headed over to the desk with him. "I usually don't find other people reading the text books before the school year starts. It's good to know I'm not the only one though." The smile never faded from her face.

Warren liked this girl already he didn't know many people who would freely give up their summer to get a head with the next year school list. "So are you new to town then?" Warren asked as the walked over to the desk so he could check out his books handing them to the librarian so she could scan the bar codes. "So do you mind if I sit with you for a while?" He asked once the librarian told him the date they would have to be back so he could either return or check them out again.

Heather nodded "Yeah, just got here last week." She put the books she was holding on the desk next to the others. She smiled and shrugged "No, I don't mind." She grabbed some of his books again after they were scanned. "So what grade are you in?" She asked him and wondered what classes he was taking, hopping to be in one with him. She couldn't seem to understand how she was having a conversation about school with someone, she really wasn't used to other people being interested in learning.

"So where are you from if you don't mind me asking" he couldn't put her accent down to a certain place so rather than speculate and course offense he thought he might as well ask her. Grabbing the rest of the books from the desk he placed them under his right arm while swinging his left ever so slightly as they walked back to where Heather was sitting. "What grade?" Warren asked confused, he still hadn't got to grips with the way it worked over here he was used to people asking him what year he was in but when they said grade that's when his mind got all messed up. He might have been smart and everything but after being used to England so much it was hard to adjust to life at Riverside. "Well I'm 17 so does that make it grade ten or eleven" warren said a small quiet laugh falling. No matter how smart he was he knew he only had one more year left at school until he would be going to university where he would study to be a doctor.
