Karla made her way through the entrance of the gym. This was definitely her least favorite class of all time. Sweaty people, yelling, and whistle blowing; the way she saw it, there should have been child labor laws against P.E. No one should have the authority to make students exercise or play stupid games if they didn’t want to. She took her time walking to the bleacher, where she would be spending her time till P.E. was over; just like she had since the day she’d transferred to riverside high. Karla caught the coach eyeing her as if he was saying ‘you’d better be participating today.’ She chuckled a bit then rolled her eyes at him and took her usual spot on the bleachers. “Teachers today, I swear.” She shook her head as she laughed. Karla sat her army fatigue bag on her lap then took out a bottle of clear nail polish and began applying the clear polish over her already polished blood red nails.

Katrina came out of the locker room, dressed in some shorts and a tank top. She glanced around the gym room with a sigh, stretching her arms above her head. They were playing basket ball. She hated that sport. Faking a limp towards the teacher she said, "Coach. I hurt my ankle this morning. Can I sit out?" "Oh sure Kat. Go on over to the bleachers." Hiding a smile, she limped her way over to the bleachers and sat not to far from a girl painting her nails. "That was too easier." She said under her breath, brushing her short hair out of her face.

Blowing over her nails, Karla scanned the gym, for what, she wasn’t sure just yet. Usually there was someone in P.E. that would trip up and do something embarrassing thinking that no one caught it, but Karla’s been catching every single thing that quit a few students have been doing. The kids at this school seriously cracked her up. Just then Karla spotted a girl come into the gym, but she shrugged it off, it was just some girl. She turned her attention back to her nails for a second then back up to where the girl was, but the girl wasn’t standing there anymore, she was... limping? It took everything in Karla to hold back her laughter. This was classic, but the funniest part was that the coach was actually buying it. “Classic.” Karla said to herself. While she went over her nails a second time, Karla slightly turned her head and saw the girl come up the bleachers and sit not to far from her. She turned her head to look at the girl and smiled. “You’re a very funny girl.” Karla said then looked back down at her nails, the smile still on her face.

Kat looked up at the girl, a small smirk on her lips. "Thanks. Normally I participate but, I do hate basketball." She turned fully to the girl then. "You just transferred here right? I'm Katrina." She glanced around the gym room, shaking her head at the students scrambling for the ball, hurting each other - and themselves - in the process. No way she was gonna play that sport. Tomorrow she'd definitely have a doctors note.

Karla closed the bottle of polish and replaced it in her bag while the girl spoke. She looked up at the girl and nodded “Yep, like a week ago. My name’s Karla, but most people call me Hell.” She turned her attention back to the court for a second before she spoke again “I’ll be damned if I have to play any sport with these dangerously clumsy people.” She said looking in the direction of the students that were scrambling for the basketball.

Kat simply smiled at the nickname. "Hell? People just call me Kat or Kitty." She scrunched her nose at the last one, she didn't really like that nickname all too well. At the girls next comment, she shook her head. "I agree. I was nearly trampled to death playing sports with these kids. Especially basketball and football. I always sit out on those sports."

Karla nodded “Yep. My birth parents used to call me that when I was little.” She shrugged “I guess it stuck.” She laughed lightly at the nickname kitty, it was a little too… baby doll for her liking. “Kat sounds like a keeper, Kitty… not so much.” She joked. The last part of what the girl said made Karla chuckle “I sit out on everything. I was gonna play volleyball with a few of the kids here on my first day, but I thought better of it when one of the girls got hit on the head pretty hard with the ball. The guy who hit her said he trying to hit the ball over the net.” She shook her head as she laughed. “Epic. Fail.”

Kat shook her head, laughing softly. "I don't care for Kitty too much." She said. "My mom gave me that nickname. Only my family calls me it." Kat snorted at her volleyball comment, she remembered that day. "He obviously needed to brush up on his volley skills. And she needed to learn how to dodge a ball that was aiming straight towards her. I swear, some of these kids just love getting attention."

Karla rolled her eyes “Well, they should definitely find another way to get attention; physical activities don’t seem to be working out well for anyone.” She leaned back on the bleachers and watched the kids running around the court like chickens with their heads cut off. “You play any sports? I mean, besides basketball and football.” She asked, her eyes still on the court.

Kat laughed but didn't respond to her statement, though she was definitely right. "Sports? I play tennis but that's about it. I'm more of a dancer." She glanced up at Karla before looking back at the students attempting basketball. The coach yelled at someone for traveling and she shook her head with a smirk. "What about you? You don't seem like the sportsy type but I could be wrong."

Karla smiled “You dance? That’s cool. What kind of dancing do you do?” she asked watching the coach yell at some kids about something that probably wasn’t important. When Kat asked her if she played sports, Karla scrunched her nose. “No, you couldn’t be more right. I don’t like playing sports, but I’m okay with sitting on the side and watching.”

"I do a mix of ballet and hip hop." Katrina nodded at her correct assumption. Although the girl didn't look the type to sit and watch either. "I can't say the same. I will wit and watch if its for family or something, but I don't think I'd be able to watch it on t.v or anything like that." She smiled a bit. "So, what do you do instead of watching sports?"

Karla thought for a second before she answered the question. “Well, since I’ve been told that I have a ‘disciplinary problem’ I mostly do community service.” She rolled her eyes after saying the last two words. “But I’m into art; drawing, painting, sculpting and all that good stuff.”

"Oh. Art is always fun." Kat smiled. "I like art, can't really draw or anything though. That would be my older sister. I stick to the dancing part of my creative side." She said. "So, do you want to do art for like a career or something?"
