Aya laughed and took a picture of Garret in his semi-fetal position. "I never said that Walker; I like honest people. At least I know if someone has beef with me from said person and not from a million unreliable sources who get it from gossip. I hate that." She blushed and ignored him by taking a picture of his ridiculous face. "Yeah kiss me and I'm pretty sure not only Monte but Dan would beat you to a pulp." She tilted her head at his answer. "Any baseball team? Don't you have a preference? Me? I want... answers on what I should do you know?" She wanted clarity in the decisions she was going to make because it didn't only affect her life but also the people around her.

"Nope, no particular team, besides the chance that I'd actually get my personal favorite is about zero." He shrugged a shoulder. "So whatever team would take me on, I'm game. Heck I'd even move to Pennsylvania." He laughed. "I always thought the Boston Red Sox had the worst MLB record, but you look from 2004 back to the 1800's and the Pennsylvania teams have the worst records time and time again." He laughed. "You know if you didn't tell Monte or Dan about it, I wouldn't get pulverized." He raised an eyebrow. "Nah, I wouldn't do that to you, if you kissed me you'd have another guy spinning around in your little love circle and you've got enough on your plate with Monte alone."

Aya rolled her eyes as she leaned against his backside, tilting her head so she could take a picture of the trees and the dimming sky. "With attitude like that, I'm not surprised." She turned her head to glance at him and smiled. "You force me to use methods I'd rather not use but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. You leave me no choice most of the time Walker." She patted his shoulder affectionately. "I'll find you a girl and I love that you're nice enough to stay out of my confused romantic life as it is. So thank you..."

Garret turned his head to look at her and offered her a small smile. "Well, the things guys do for love." He laughed and sat up, running his hand through his hair to get rid of any pebbles or other ground debris that might stick to the back of his head. "You think any other girl is going to fall for me?" He asked, getting up and offering his hand to her, he didn't want to leave, he just wanted to relocate, get out of the middle of the parking lot, the chances of a car seeing them in the dimming light were slim.

Aya shook her head as she took his hand and allowed him to pull her up. "You know you're a good guy; you just do the jackass thing on purpose... Like... It's a test for any person to find whatever is inside, much deeper than that mask you wear."She shrugged as she moved closer to him and nudged him. "If you were a true jerk, you wouldn't have offered to be my personal punching bag, but instead you let me beat you up and you still continue to smile." Aya smiled. "There's someone out there for you Walker, trust me."

Garret shrugged his shoulders. "I can't help doing those jackass things on purpose, it's fun." He grinned and led her over toward a median in the parking lot and underneath the tree. He knew squat about photography and wasn't sure if she could get any good pictures in the dimming light or not without another form of light. "You still want me to be your model?" He asked, figuring the chances of her being able to get a good picture were about zero. "I could always take you to Palmer's, I'm sure Abby wouldn't mind you taking pictures of her beautiful diner."

Aya laughed at his honesty, it would have been stranger and un-Garret like if he had denied it. "Your version of fun is mildly sick and twisted, you know that right?" She sat beside him, the sunset had captured her attention but she wasn't bad at holding a conversation while taking shots at the same time. "Nope, the setting sun has my attention now; don't worry... I promise to take more pictures of you than Monte at the game okay? Though you better make sure we win or I'm chasing you around with a baseball bat." She shook her head. "Nah, I need to go soon; let me just saturate my time with you so I don't lose my mind for the next few days."

"Yes, yes I know and that's half the fun." He laughed and turned to watch her snap pictures of the sunset. "I'm not worried about you taking more pictures of Monte than of me, because I'm so good you won't have time to even look at the guy." He grinned. "I'll make sure we win, I don't really want to get hit with a bat by you, I can take your fists and having balls thrown at my head, but a bat is harder to deflect." Not that he'd done a very good job at deflecting the ball she'd thrown. He tilted his head in confusion at her last statement. "What do you mean by not losing your mind, you going somewhere?"

She rolled her eyes dramatically and turned to him, a look of incredulity on her features. "I love how humble you are; it's such a turn on, Walker." Aya grinned at him after his bat-statement though. "It's great that my threats are getting through to you; I feel like I'm helping a higher cause somehow." She smiled and avoided his eyes. "Well, I'm tired of going to my family when I need to rant and you're the only one with any patience to take my bullshit so... If I kept it inside for the next few days, I'm pretty sure I'd flip a bitch so..." She laughed awkwardly and looked at the sunset instead.

Garret was still confused. "So your not leaving?" He was more concerned about whether or not he was going to get to see her in the next few days than if she was mentally stable for the next few days. "I'd hate for you to miss me you know, would be a sad, sad day in Riverside."

Aya laughed and shook her head. "No, I'm not leaving. Why would I be leaving?" She smacked his thigh a bit harder than she really had to. "Ugh, if anything... You'd be the one doing the missing Garret." She paused and bit her lip, looking at the scenery and not at her companion. "Just, I guess I go nuts when I have no one to unload on. They keep telling me I keep things inside too much but you're the only one I can talk to about these things. Even Cameron has his own problems to deal with so I try not to bother him so much."

Garret shrugged a shoulder. "Just the way you said it, is all, it's like you were going to disappear and I'd have to wait for three days or something to see you again." He let off a frustrated groan. "That's the saddest part about all of this, I would be the one missing you, but you know you'd miss me too." He gave her a knowing look, despite the fact that she was looking at the scenery. "See you need me around, no matter how much it might torture you that your family is right about something, you don't need to keep things inside and if I'm the only one you can talk to, then not seeing me for three days would be detrimental to your mental health."

Aya turned to face him just as he gave her that knowing look and she smiled guiltily. "Okay you got me there. You may be an ass and a jerk in every sense of the word but you're still my friend and one of the few people who listen to me. I would miss you Garret Walker." Friends were hard to come by these days; even more so with friends that were real and trustworthy. She shook her head and laughed before scooting closer to him so she could lean against him, her camera now off and set gently on her lap. "Okay you have a point... You have a point. I need you or else I'll go nuts."

"Ha." He laughed, resting his head against hers as she leaned against him. "I knew you needed me." He smiled and ran his fingers through her short hair. "I'll be around whenever you need me." He said. "Unless of course I'm in detention or on the field, but if it's four in the morning and you need me, I will break driving curfew and come to you." He pulled on her hair. "I'm not kidding."

Aya rolled her eyes at his proclaimed triumph. Of course I do. She grinned at him. "See? You aren't a bad guy at all; you just pretend to be one. This is why I'm going to make it my life's goal to find someone who can tolerate it more than I can.", she paused and thought... "A hot someone who can tolerate you more than I can." She didn't even bother looking at him at the feel of his fingers in her hair; she was used to it... People seemed to like tugging at the strands of her short hair nowadays. "Thanks Garret."
