"Well, I'm a chess prodigy may seem boring but I do find it interesting. and that book I was looking at was about Aristotle, my project is to compare Oedipus with Aristotle six elements on play." He stopped and looked at her, he didn't want her to get bored with his explanation of Aristotle and what he had to do for the report, so he gave her just a short summary of what he had to do. "It's seven pages, so far I've done five"

Elisabeth just nodded and smiled, listening to every word he had to say, even though she had just asked one simple question. She didn't mind, though. It just meant she didn't have to talk much herself, being the shy girl she normally was; especially around cute guys. "That's cool." she responded back, "Wow, seven pages? That, uh, that kinda sucks." she giggled, admitting the truth to it. "But at least you're almost done with it. Did you just start it today? 'Cause if you did, then you must be some sort of English major or something, because I don't think I could even finish a paper that quickly."

Jiro shrugged he didn't really find the project challenging at all, and English as major he didn't think so. He rather have something concerning law , but this was high school and if there was a class about law he sure didn't know where it was located at . "English doesn't interest me at all, and yes I just started today, 30 minutes ago to be precise." He dint want to brag about it being easy so he kept that comment to himself.

"Ah, I see." she nodded. "Still, even with my grade point average, I still have to take my time with things like essays." she chuckled, not really interested in saying exactly that she was a straight A student just yet. Since they had just met and all, she didn't want to scare him away with such knowledge she had even with her pretty looks. Even though she didn't really consider herself all that pretty anyway. "Still though, if English doesn't interest you at all. What does, exactly?"

Jiro nodded listening to her, content to just listen to her voice. So he guesses that she was pretty smart. To him being as intelligent as he was sucked big time. Everything about school bored him, he was considered a lazy genius at his old school. But their was something about law that really spark an interest in him. Perhaps it was all the injustices in life , or was it that he really crave for the drama that it brang with it. "Law interest me, everything about it , I'm thinking of either becoming a lawyer or Judge."

"Law, huh?" she grinned, already catching even more interest in this boy she had only just met. "So, you must be pretty smart then, am I right?" she questioned, leaning her elbows on the table and her chin resting in the cup of her hands, waiting for him to speak again. "I mean, I guess I would be considered smart too..well according to my siblings I am anyways. But, really, all I really ever do is pay attention and get my homework done on time. Unlike my older sister, whom I'm still utterly surprised that she made it out of high school and in college now." scoffed, rolling her eyes with a slight chuckle escaping her mouth, still waiting for her question to be answered.

"Yes law, always fascinates me some people find it boring." Jiro shrugged and continue to speak.
"But if you have the patience , time and passion for that subject it would surprise you. He was intelligent. One of the most brilliant minds at his old schools, one time he even criticizes a teacher on her teaching skills. And that didn't end well , a whole moths of detention follow that.
"I guess you could consider me as smart" He said not wanting to brag. He always did his homework in class, well except when it came to statistics, since he needed time to evaluate the meaning in it.
He chuckled .
" All my siblings know, that slacking off is considered. sort of like a felony in my house." Since his parents were extremely strict when it came to their education.

Elisabeth nodded, continuing to listen to Jiro and his own fascinations with Law and school in general. It made her feel slightly better in fact, knowing that she wasn't the only one who felt the same way about her education, especially when she hadn't scared him away with all her talk about school and education and majors herself. Normally, that would of done it, at least for a cute guy it would of. "So from hearing all that, I would guess your one of the students here who get straight A's?" she asked out of curiosity, only wanting to know more about him and his interests.

He nodded well there was one time he had gotten a B , but it wasn't his fault he sort of fell asleep for half of the period, and only had 15 minutes to finish his test.
"You could say that, I'm kind of a prodigy when it comes to my family. My mom wants the best for us." The only reason why he was as smart as he was was thanks to his parents, his mom is a doctor and had a passion for math and his dad is a notorious big time company owner. And they had high expectations of their children, which was kind of frustrating . He didn't want to tell her to much, or it might frighten her or push her away.

"Prodigy." she repeated to herself. "Impressive." she nodded, her grin growing wider as she spoke. "I admit I get straight A's too, but I wouldn't necessarily call myself a prodigy. I mean, all my parents expect from us is to just go to school everyday, do our best, go to college, get a job, yada yada.." she continued on, "a pretty typical American family, ya know?" she smiled, shrugging her shoulders slightly in the end. "But I mean of course my mom wants the best for us too. She just wants it to be our best, and to not slack off of school, ditching whenever we want. I think she's taught us well, actually. She and my dad." she grinned, feeling proud for all her accomplishments she's made along the way so far in her life.

"Ah I see, being a prodigy is somewhat tiring . People always expect the best from you and of course you must deliver" He sigh he never got a breather , he loved his parents but they needed to understand that he was human. And human made mistakes, he wasn't perfect and he didn't want to be. He prefer flaws , flaws that he could fix in time.
"Well your parents sound really nice, mine always expect the best not good, not great but the best." And he hated it. If he ever ditched school, it wouldn't be good in the eyes of his parents. They weren't abusive, but they weren't compassionate either.

Elisabeth nodded, for she understood where he was coming from somewhat. Not that her own parents were so strict like that, but from some previous states she had lived in, she had met quite a few of her friends who had parents who expected nothing less than perfection. She shook her head lightly. "That's just sad. I mean, you shouldn't have someone make you be perfect, have perfect grades, or a perfect life. You should be able to do something that you want to do. After all, no one is perfect. Trust me, I know the feeling." she muttered out the last sentence more under her breath. "I've been called 'perfect' by too many people throughout my life, including my siblings." she admitted slowly, her chin still resting in the cup of her hands, as she rolled her eyes at the nickname she's still even sometimes called. "It gets annoying, really."

“You don’t know the half of it; some people say that I should be happy because of all the praise that everyone gives me. But I’m not, I loathe it.” He wouldn’t mention that he was taking college courses just to speed up his chances of getting out of his parents’ house and start his own .That would sound too needy, well it did to him, his mom wasn’t all that bad, she was companionate and only cared for their wellbeing, and though she expected a lot from all of her children she was okay. His father, well the old timer was a tyrant and that sums op his dad pretty well. “There is no such thing as perfect “He chuckled “We are not Gods, but people seem to think that we are, and there’s nothing we could do to change their ignorance” And he wasn’t even willing to try. Talking about this was getting him depress so he decided to change the subject. “Um, would you like to get a bite to eat after school?” he asked hopefully.

Elisabeth scrunched up her face at that response. "Ah, I'm sorry. I mean, I knew how rough and annoying it could be, but I didn't think anyone would completely loathe it." she told him honestly, grinning at his next statement made. "I couldn't agree with you more. Seriously though, we're just humans. We're not even close to Gods." she explained once more through a small chuckle. Elisabeth felt quite relieved then when he changed the subject. She bit her lip, "Um, sure. Where did you have in mind?"

Jiro hoped he didn't say anything that might have offended her.
"Well I do, it was nice for a while, but then it got tiring and annoying."
Not to mention the people who were asking him for help multiple times, sure he help them but never received a thank you in return.
He shock his head and turn to grin at her, he was new here but he past through and burger place when he was walking around town. What was it called again, palmer's was it.
"How about palmer's, it seems like an OK place"
