Aya shook her head and laughed at his comment; she hadn't expected that one. She grinned at him as he disappeared into his room, taking a mental note of which door it was if she ever did need to sneak into it for no particular reason.
He came out soon enough and she took the shirt from him and smiled. "Thanks Dan." Aya bit her lip before taking a step forwards and kissing him briefly. Aya turned on her heel and walked to the bathroom, opening it and getting in, locking the door before putting his shirt on the rack and before stripping. She put her clothes on another space, to keep them from getting his shirt wet. Aya got a fluffy blue towel from the cupboard just as Dan had said before turning her gaze to the mirror, sighing softly. It had become a habit of hers to look at herself in the mirror before taking a shower and the sight never did stop giving her grief. The ugly white scars on her chest were still clear; not as clear as before but still visible. They were like spiderwebs all across what was left of her breasts and she trailed her fingers across the white vein-like patterns before stepping inside the shower and turning it on.
Aya's shower didn't take as long as she thought and she was out and in Danian's shirt in a couple of minutes. She took her wet clothes and wrung them in the sink before picking them up and stepping out. She had removed her shoes and her feet padded against the floor quietly as she smiled and lightly tugged on the hem of the shirt that barely skimmed her mid-thigh. She found Danian and grinned at him. "Your dryer?"

Dan changed swiftly into clean dry clothes, shoving his into the dryer and trying very hard not to listen to the water running in the bathroom. He sat on his bed, tapping his feet on the floor impatiently before getting up and pacing the corridor. He heard Aya's voice and spun round, a smile on his face. "Sure it's-"
He stood transfixed at the sight of Aya in his shirt and nothing else. If he'd blushed before, it was nothing to what was happening now. He wouldn't have been surprised if smoke had been coming out of his ears. Clearing his throat, he smiled sheepishly. "It's just um... down at the end of the hall. My stuff is in there now, but if you don't mind mixing them up you can put them in now. Otherwise you can wait about 20 minutes."

For some reason, Aya didn't notice how odd Dan was acting and simple turned on her heel after grinning and thanking him. "No it's okay; I don't mind at all." She walked back out of his room and towards the dryer to throw her things inside so she could go home in her own clothes. Aya ran a hand through her still damp hair as she went back to Dan's room and took a seat on his bed, still smiling at Dan and only then realizing the furious red that crawled up his cheeks. "Hey Dan, are you okay? You look like your face is on fire." She laughed softly and stood up so she could lightly cup his warm cheeks with her cool hands. "It feels like your face is on fire too." She stood on her tiptoes to lightly brush her mouth against his before pulling away, smiling. "I don't know why but whenever I'm around you, I can't help but smile."

Dan took deep breaths, trying to clear his head and calm himself down. Nodding his head slowly, he smiled self deprecatingly. "You're the first girl to ever wear any of my clothing that wasn't related to me. Plus, that's..er.. all you're wearing."
Putting his arm around her shoulder, he chuckled. "Well that's good. The alternative is being sad when you're with me so I'm very happy that you smile rather than frown." Kissing the top of her head, he took his arm off her shoulder and moved to the bedroom door. "What do you want to do while we wait for your clothes to dry?"

Aya bit her lip guiltily as her own cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Sorry... I didn't think about that." She hadn't minded because she hadn't really been thinking about it that much; not until he mentioned it anyway. She consciously tugged on the hem of the shirt as he put his arm around her. "Oh um, anything I guess. But I'm a bit thirsty... Do you mind if I get some water from the kitchen first?" She offered him a tiny smile. "Maybe we can figure it out from there." Aya followed him towards the door, walking out of his bedroom backwards so she could still look at him. Her feet padded softly against the floor as she folded her arms across her chest. "So where are your siblings?"

Danian nodded, heading towards the kitchen. "I can manage water I think." Glancing back, he shrugged. "Miki's at school. So is Jade I guess. Brody is at work. I have to admire him actually. Since he found out about his kid coming he's really gotten his act together. Bought an ugly family car, got a proper job. All that kind of stuff."
He grabbed a cup from the drying rack and filled it with water and turned around. "Here you go. Finest water in the place." He smiled easily and leaned against the sink. His eyes were still drawn to the hem of the shirt she was wearing, but he forced himself to look up at her face. "So you reckon the school will call to find out where you are?"

Aya clapped her hands together in support; managing to hide her snort at the ugly family car comment as she grinned at him. "See? I told you he'd be okay!" She rolled her eyes emphatically at him as she took the glass from him and mock saluted Dan with it. "Thanks. Cheers." She took a thoughtful sip as she watched him look at her, pausing to think about how to answer his question.
"Mmm... Probably not. I'm pretty sure Monte, Garret, Jackie and even Georgie have skipped at least once and weren't in trouble so no biggie." She finished the water and set the glass in the sink as she bumped her hip against Dan's. "Well if they do look for me, I promise to tell them that it wasn't your fault and that I kidnapped you and not the other way around." She winked at him teasingly as she leaned up on her bare toes to kiss him briefly. "I think I can get used to this."
