Collins smiled as he pulled out the chocolate covered strawberries. "I see, well then I understand, if I had something lined up already, I'd feel bad for devoting my time to another place knowing I'd only be there temporary. Though I'm sure if you told them straight up that you'd be leaving as soon as your other job pulled through, they'd understand. I'm sure tons of people do it during the summer and during school breaks." She shrugged, it wasn't really important as long as he wasn't going crazy from boredom. She plucked a strawberry from the container and munched on it slowly, sucking the chocolate off first before devouring the strawberry. "I love strawberries and chocolate and this moment." She got up on her knees and crawled toward him. "You know what else I love?"

Xander nodded; he hadn't thought of that possibility. "I guess I could try that. At least I'd have something to do in my spare time, right?" He watched her curiously as she ate the strawberry, glad when she confessed that she loved strawberries and chocolate. He blinked and smiled a bit as she moved closer to him. Xander shrugged innocently as he moved a hand to her shoulder. "I don''t know... What else do you love?" He smiled at her, just ready to remove the distance between them and kiss her senseless.

Collins smirked as his hand moved to her shoulder, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips to his. "I love kissing you." She admitted, before crawling completely into his lap and kissing him a bit deeper. "It's even better than chocolate and strawberries."

He easily hoisted her onto his lap, putting his free hand at her waist as he kissed her back, smiling indulgently at her. "Well I'm glad you think I'm better than chocolate but I'm pretty sure you'll take that back sooner or later. No one can be greater than chocolate." Xander chuckled as he lightly nibbled on her bottom lip before cupping her cheek with his hand and deepening their kiss. "I've missed you Collins." And though they constantly talked on the phone and texted and had seen each other only a couple of days ago, he had missed her. He had missed being around her and he was fully intent on making up for it tonight.

Collins shook her head and her entire body in response to his statement. "I'll never take it back, chocolate is alright, but you're like wickedly awesome." She kissed him back and closed her eyes, seriously enjoying being on his lap, in his arms, with her lips touching his. "I missed you too Xander." She was simply happy to just kiss him for the rest of the night, but she was curious about what else he might have in store for them. "So what's next?"

((I've never seen the Perseids so I'll let Xander and Collins be the ones to watch them for me... Even if it's a couple of months early. Rofl.))
He chuckled softly as he eagerly responded to her kiss. "Alright then; but if you do take it back one day, I won't hold it against you." Xander shrugged and briefly glanced at the sky. "I actually have it on good authority that the Perseids meteor shower starts tonight. Hopefully they'll put on a good show for us, yes?" He pointed at the sky as a meteor flew across the horizon as if on cue. Xander had never seen the meteors dance across the sky before and he found it to be a treat, especially since Collins was with him.

((I'm glad you clarified what the Perseids were because I was completely lost.))
Collins looked up as he pointed to the sky and grinned as the meteor swept across the sky. She'd never even heard of the Perseids meteor shower before and even though she didn't know of their existence, she was excited to experience it with him. "How do you find out about these sort of things?" She asked, wrapping her arms around him briefly, then settling with her head in his lap, looking up at the sky.

(( Lol. UGH. You're so lucky they're clear in the USA. They never reach the PI. </3 ))
Xander chuckled and glanced at her position on his lap. "My godmother's the good authority. She knows a lot of random things... Seemingly useless information that can actually help in the long run." More meteors littered the sky and he glanced up again, glad that he could experience something so beautiful and so magical with someone who was slowly stealing bits of his heart, piece by piece. Xander looked at Collins again and smiled; she was definitely a lot greater than pieces of flying rock hurtling towards the earth at break neck speeds.

Collins watched the sky as the meteors spread across the sky and disappeared to be replaced with new ones. She felt his eyes on her and tried to ignore it, but she felt their pull and turned in his lap so she could simply watch him instead of the sky. "So did you know this was going to happen on our swim?"

Xander smiled guiltily at Collins, knowing how weird it felt for people to just stare at them. It was strange though because he couldn't seem to take his eyes away from her... He just couldn't help himself. "Well, my godmother had already mentioned it before our swim... I just wasn't sure if the date was right. I'm glad it was though." He grinned at her, knowing that this was the last surprise he had for her for their date. "Did you like it?" A slight flush settled on his cheeks but he tried to ignore the feeling anyway.

Collins smiled up at him. "I did like it." She sat up and turned so she was sitting directly beside him, then she leaned back so she was laying flat on her back. She patted his back and moved her index finger in a 'come here' fashion. "I hope the night isn't over already. Did you bring the Cd of that band you were talking about?"

Xander grinned, relieved that she had liked what he had planned for her. Though he was pretty sure he couldn't take credit for everything since Georgie made their food and the meteor shower showed up like clock work every year. He followed her and lay beside her, turning to meet her eyes. "No, it's not over yet." He smiled at her, smoothing back a stray lock that had landed on her cheek. "Yeah it's in my car." He had to remind himself that he was going to give her the CD or else he'd forget and it'd stay in his car till the next time they saw each other.

Collins glanced at him. "It's not?" She was feigning surprise. "I'm not trying to rush through the night, so if I am, I'm sorry." She glanced at the sky, she could honestly watch the sky for the rest of the night and be more than happy. "Oh yeah, I have my CD in my bag, but you can listen to it later if you want."

Xander grinned at her. "Good, for a moment there I thought the date was going so terrible for you that you just wanted to get it over with." He knew she was kidding but that had been one of his honest fears about tonight. That he wouldn't meet whatever expectations Collins had would probably crush him. "Alright then, we can trade CDs before the night ends." He lightly traced her cheek with his knuckles. "You're going to have to remind me though because I'm most likely going to forget about it."

"Oh, I'll remind you, so uh, how would you like me to do that? I could be really annoying and remind you ever ten minutes or...." She laughed and caught his knuckles. "So tonight is one of those really good nights that I never want to end, but if it has to end I want it to end with a kiss, like a really good kiss, promise?"
