Max parked his car at the end of the lot, making his the only one there.
"Hmm.. hey, looks like a good size area over there." He pointed to the left, where a small field lay just outside of the official park area."
Jacob nodded and opened his door. Outside, he breathed in the sweet smell of the air. "Ahh, the air is so fresh here. I think I could get used to this." He grinned and leaned back in the car to grab his old baseball and bat. "Get the mitt, Max."
The two brothers made their way over to the field and started hitting the ball around.

Keila and Calli were just taking a walk through the park talking to each other when they see the others getting their bat and ball out.
Keila nudged Calli with her ellbow "Ohhh that looks like fun! We should ask if we can play Calli!" Calli looked at Keila then back at them "I don't know they might not want us to..." then Keila poped back in with: "Well we won't know till we ask!"
Keila dragged Calli along as she went over to them. "Hey there. I'm Keila and this is my sister Calli." Calli waved and said "hi" as Keila continued "We might be moving here soon, but anyways we were wondering if we could play ball with you?"

Jake saw the girls before Max did. He told him to put the bat down and jogged over to him. He smiled at the girls walking up and waved. "Hi ladies. I'm Jake, and this is my brother, Max."
Max turned around and grinned, "Hey." He nodded to their question, "We'd love to have some more players, does one of you want to bat first?"

The girls smiled and Keila glanced at Calli as if to say 'I told you so' as Calli spoke up "I'll take a swing at it."

Max smiled and held out the bat for Calli to take. "Have you played before? Just wondering if I should go easy on you or not." He grinned. Jake held out the mitt for Keila, "You can use this, we only brought one." He jogged back to the pitchers mound and waited for everyone to take their place.

"Thanks" Keila smiled as Calli said "Oh, yeah I've played before so you'd better bring it on." she grinned playfully. They both took their places and got ready to play. "I'm ready" piped Calli as Keila agreed with her "Yep. Let's play some ball!"

Jake chuckled, "Alright, show me what ya got, girl." He wound up his arm to throw the ball. It was a perfect pitch.

Keila watched the ball and Calli smiled as she swung the bat and hit the ball back over his head. Keila heads for the ball.

Jake watched the ball soar over him and grinned. Max crouched down at first base and held his hands out to get ready to catch the ball if Keila threw it to him.

Calli ran for the base as Keila grabbed the ball and threw it over to Max. Calli dropped her flip flops as she ran.

Max caught the ball right in time to touch it to Calli. "Gotcha." He smiled at her and tossed the ball back to Jake. "You know, you're pretty fast... even without shoes."

"Thanks. I would have worn my other shoes if I had know I was gonna play ball" Calli smiles. Keila grins "Nice catch Max."

"Hey thanks, you want to catch next? I'ma go bat." He grinned and ran over to home base. Jake got his pitch ready and threw the ball pretty hard towards Max, hoping to embarrass him in front of the girls. It almost worked- Max hit the ball but it was a bunt. He ran anyway, getting close enough to slide into first base and hoping he had made it.

Calli smiled "Sure" They watched the ball and when he hit it Keila ran for it again tossing it to calli who caught it right after Max had slid into the base. "Safe!" Keila announced.

Max jumped up and cheered, "Woo!" He chuckled and pointed at Jake, "Too bad Jake, no ball is too fast for me!" He turned to Calli, "Hey nice catch though." Jake walked over to where everyone was, "So do you guys want to keep playing or should we get something to eat, or... something." He smiled.
