Alex casually nodded at the boy’s words. He looked like a good enough kid. “Really? Well my siblings and I are quarter Korean and half Japanese. We mostly spend time bouncing back and forth the two countries. I didn’t think there would be another Korean family. It’s great to hear.” The older boy extracted one hand out his pocket and extended it to formally introduce himself. It was a little awkward since Alex wasn’t used to meeting younger people but it was a pleasant change. “I’m Alex Yoon by the way. What’s your name?” Before he could say more, there was a sudden glomp attack from behind, bending him slightly backwards. He turned his head to see Miss Kris Tay with a pile of fireworks at hand. “Hello Ms Tay. It’s great to see you again,” a comfortable smile formed on Alex’s lips. “Are we blowing up the party tonight?” His attention was further divided when Cameron rushed over to Ms Tay, mentioning a large gun and Aya. It could only mean Monte was there.

Lysander gave Xander a brief “man hug” and maintained an arm over the shy young man’s shoulder and replied as he eyed the girl in front of them. “Uhh yeah… She’s coming I think. She’s hauling a bunch of other stuff with her. Women in our house always prolong time.” Before the blonde boy could say anything else, Xander was already bidding his farewell and Lysander couldn’t help but smile at the insane on the other’s face. “Nice to meet you Natalia. Yeah, it’s Sander. Short for Lysander. Not really much difference.” He was about to open up a conversation with the new girl but caught sight of a highly irritable brunette ushering a group of kids from a minivan. He pushed his sunglasses down a little to get a better look before turning to the other girl. “Sorry to cut is all so short. I need to take my leave to. There’s someone over there that needs to be bothered with my presence. Maybe I’ll see you later.” With a smirk, Sander pushed back his glasses and circled the lawn, making sure that his target couldn’t quite see him and extracted his phone from his pocket.

Sean strutted over, hands in his pockets to the chocolate fountain that can only be the work of his girlfriend when she waved him over after Annie told him she’ll be moshing by the stage. The boy nodded a hello Alex who he had briefly met some while ago before turning to Georgie. “Well well,” started Sean with a grin, “who are you all dressed up for?” His lips lightly grazed hers, not wanting to gross out other people.

Jack spotted his girlfriend next to Cameron and waved back, not sure if she noticed. He was about to head over when Yu’s expression turned darker as she exchanged words with the boy. He was a little unsure whether to go to her then but decided to hang back and watch her direction but lost her in the ever growing crowd. Jack shrugged and dragged his feet over to the buffet table, grabbing a bunch of any random and popping them in his mouth before spotting Sean cozying it up with Georgie. “Hey you guys,” the half masticated food muffled his voice. “Saw Yu and Cam spazzing over there. What’s going on?”

Danian eyed her carefully, but shrugged and put an arm around her shoulder. "You don't have any crazy hosting duties to do tonight? Maybe that's what's wrong with him. I mean, flyers were a good idea and all but that means that anyone and everyone in town can come. Trust me, that's what I did for my twelfth birthday. It was insane and took about a day to clean up after."

He surveyed the park, and stretched out his arm. "See the blonde girl over by the tables? The one in the incredibly bad mood standing by herself? That's Jade. She came with me, for whatever reason."


Jade looked over towards Danian once more, and watched as the girl joined him on the grass. She waved sarcastically and turned back towards the tables, praying that someone would rescue her. Or that the park would become full enough that she could slip home unnoticed.

Kris grinned at Alex and linked her arm with his. “How are you young man? Really where’s Juliet? I bought the vodka and soju just like she asked.” A frown began to play on her lips at the thought of her having to drink all alone. She shrugged easily. “Fireworks are for later tonight but if anybody needs to be blown up, just tell me and I’ll gladly assist.” A sneaky little grin began to form on Kris’ mouth as she thought of the two Alex’s she knew quite well and wondered what would happen if they met. How curious…

Alex grinned at the boy and gave him a mock salute as she grabbed another cream puff and decided to join her godmother; Georgie on the other hand quirked a brow at her boyfriend. “Well well yourself.” She smoothed out the cream colored tank top with the ruffles down the front as she smirked at him. “Oh no one in particular; I was kind of hoping that some hot guys would come so I could dance with them and well… You never know what can happen at a party like this right?” She bit her lip when his mouth found hers and she couldn’t help but sigh into the kiss, sliding one hand up his shoulder. “I’ve missed you.”

Jack disturbed Georgie’s moment with Sean and she bit back a scowl as she turned to the boy who was noisily chewing his food. “Oh? What’s the matter with Yume and Cameron? Did something happen?” Worry colored her voice; it was too early in the party for any screw ups!

Aya laughed at Dan's comment and glanced at him. "Well, I'm not sure if it would be considered hosting duties. I hope he's alright though." Cameron did look quite the idiot when he was freaking out at his aunt but the stunned expression on his handsome face was priceless. Aya waved at Jade; she remembered being introduced a long time ago and didn't really think about if Jade remembered her or not, especially since her hair was so short.

Danian nodded thoughtfully and withdrew his arm. Nudging her, he looked back at the throng of people. "Can you point out your siblings? Or cousins or whatever? How many of you are there anyway?"

He fought the urge to ask her what her surprise was. It was a character flaw of his that he was usually too impatient to wait, but he didn't want to ruin the fun for her. "So how come I had to find out about this from a flyer instead of from you anyway?"

Aya looked at him and quirked an eyebrow. "Okay, there's 9 of us." She pointed at the stage because that was the easiest. "Girl singing is my older sister Seraph, the guy on drums is my mom's godson Seph." She squinted and saw Yume. "Girl in the pink sparkly scarf if my cousin Yume and you know her brother Cameron, the redhead. Georgie is another cousin of mine and she's at the table, the girl wearing the black skirt." She pointed to her mother who was surrounded by Alex's. "That's my mom, the one clinging to the tall asian dude. And the girl beside her is Seph's older sister, Alex. She has a twin, Xander, who is... with the girl with the bright red hair and Jackie..." She squinted, trying to figure out where she was. "Well, she's around here somewhere."

Dan tried to follow the names and faces, but got lost quickly and shook his head. Smiling slightly he shrugged. "Well, I'm sure I'll get it eventually. But Cameron I will recognise from now on. He cast an eye over Yume and grinned mischevioiusly. "Yume is cute. You think you could introduce me?"

Aya snorted in laughter. "It's kind of hard not to recognize Cam, what with his red hair and blue eyes and the perpetual smirk on his face. He's like... the poster child to punk ass." Aya gasped in surprise, jealousy flaring in her eyes at his comment. She smacked him on the shoulder lightly. "Her boyfriend would kill you." Well, only if he gets to you before I do.

Danian chortled silently, and placed his arm back around her shoulder. "Well, I wouldn't want that now would I? Who is he, so I know to avoid him just in case."

Taking his iPod out of his pocket, he rested it on her leg. "Here, you can choose the music. There's sort of an eclectic list on there. It's everyone in the households' music all jumbled together, I'm sure you'll find something you like."

Aya scoffed at him and was extremely tempted to break his nose but she took his iPod from her leg instead and scrolled through the music, curious of what he put in it. "His name's Jack and I have no idea where he is at the moment. He's a sweet boy but I'm pretty sure if you try to take Yume from him, he would flip tables." Dan had a point, the music on his iPod just seemed to go from pop to rock and to everything in between, she shook her head in amusement and decided on an old Fall out Boy song, Grand Theft Autumn.

"Jack...hmm...that's not a very intimidating name. But the picture you paint is fairly violent so I really think I might stay away now. Besides, she doesn't look as much fun as you. Even grumpy like you are now."

As she switched the music he smiled. "Ah... one of Brody's. I don't mind his taste in music to be honest". Falling silent, he tapped his hand on his leg to the music. After a minute, he lay back on the rug and smiled up at Aya. "I don't like sitting up very much. It has a limited view."

She rolled her eyes but couldn't help the flush that graced her cheeks when he caught the grumpiness that was emanating from her in waves. "It's your fault." Aya muttered more to herself than to him. The girl looked at him as he lay down and patted her lap. "Here, it'll be more comfortable; I promise." She said with a laugh. For some reason, she couldn't pull her gaze away from his, his blue eyes really were quite mesmerizing. "Limited view of what?"

[Raebee]

The laughter bursting from him was definitely more than quiet, and as he moved his head into her lap it only got louder. "And how is it my fault? All I said was that she was cute. She could be my cute friend."

Looking up at her face, Danian's eyes twinkled brightly. "Well if you think about it, looking horizontally you know that eventually you've seen it all. But looking vertically...who knows what else is out there?"

Aya stuck her bottom lip out into a pout. "Because... Just. Because." She couldn't very well tell him that she was jealous of the attention he had bestowed on her unaware cousin. "Cute friend my ass." She muttered again.

She lightly caressed his cheek, her gaze not once leaving his. "You have a good point there." She too looked up for a second, a tiny smile of wonder crossing her face as she looked at the brightly lit sky, full of stars and the full bright moon. "I wish I could catch a star..."

Danian closed his eyes briefly at her touch, but opened them as she looked at the sky. His breath hitched and he wondered how long he'd have to deny how he felt about her.

"Find the first star you saw, and make a wish. I swear, they come true maybe...one in about fifty but as long as you make every one of them worth it, you'll get something that you wish for. That's almost as good as catching one."

Looking back into her face, he bit his lip and whispered "Can I tell you a secret?"

Aya laughed at his suggestion. "First star I saw? I saw a dozen at the same time! I've got to try that next time. But I meant that I'd love to hold one in my hand you know? Think Stardust." She said with a soft giggle. She looked back down at him and the smile left her face, there was questioning in her eyes. The way he looked at her made her feel like what he wanted to say was something serious. "You can tell me anything Dan, you know that."
