"Why does that make you lucky?" Amaya shrugged, looking up at him. "Sure, if you don't mind." Not that the shirt would do her any good, considering it was still short sleeved. Still, it would be better than the tank top she was currently wearing.

[[You're throwing me off. This thread takes place in June. I don't understand how she'd be cold. I'd understand if she just came out of the lake or it was raining and the wind was blowing. And do you have a goal for this thread? Because I can't think of anything else and I feel like I'm pulling teeth to respond.]]

((Sorry xD Sometimes when I'm by a lake and there's a breeze I get super cold easy, so I just based it off that. A goal? Uhh... is he looking for a girlfriend or just someone to mess around with? Or neither?))

[[He's definitely not looking for a girlfriend. Maybe someone to fool around with but he's the type that isn't going to try to hard. He's uses to getting what he wants without working too hard.]]

"Because it means I won't get my face smashed in...that's why it makes me lucky." He got to his feet and looked down at her. "I suppose I'll be back in a few minutes." He left, retrieved his car first, tossing a jacket into the passenger seat, drove to the school, picked up her shirt from the baseball field and drove back to lake. He brought both her shirt and his jacket with him. "Here you go. I didn't think you're shirt was going to do you much good if you're cold. Did you miss me?" He teased, as he sat back down facing the lake.

Amaya nodded and settled back against the tree as he walked away. When he disappeared, she rested her head against the tree and sighed, closing her eyes and waiting for him to return. It wasn't long, thankfully, before he returned with her shirt. She bit her lip as she took the clothing, and then laughed softly. "Maybe just a bit." She murmured. "Thanks." Amaya shrugged on the shirt and then the jacket, warmth immediately surrounding her.

Monte laughed. "Well I suppose being missed a little bit is better than not being missed at all." He ran a hand through his hair and let his mind drift to other things. He still hadn't decided if he was going to leave after Avery returned and was starting to wonder if he did, if his family would miss him more than just a little bit. "You think of anything to talk about while I was gone?"

Amaya bit her lip, glancing out at the water. "Was I supposed to think of something?" She smiled, biting her lip. "Hmm...How do you think the baseball game went?" Sure it was a lame topic, but Amaya couldn't think of anything right away and it would be good to stall.

"Not necessarily, but unless someone thinks of something to talk about we're just going to be sitting here in silence." He picked up a rock nearby and tossed it into the lake, creating ripples to disturb the mirrored surface. "The baseball game went well for us, if Garret kept acting the way he was, and we kept playing, he would have been humiliated, because we were kicking their asses." He laughed and found another rock. "You sure you want to sit here with me and talk about the baseball game? Because I could take you home, this conversation isn't going to last very long."

"Sometimes sitting in silence is a good thing." She couldn't think off the top of her head how though. She laughed at his next statement, though her smile faltered at the one after. "Do you want me to leave?" Amaya asked, not answering his question at all. She drew circles on the ground next to her, frowning a bit.

Monte glanced at her and nodded. He wouldn't say anything and see how she liked sitting in silence for a while. He took his eyes off her and spotted a rock just outside his reach. He moved to grab it, moving slightly closer to her. He tossed the rock into the water and looked around again for another rock, the only one he saw, was right next to Amaya's hand. He moved closer still until he was practically sitting on her lap. He tossed the rock into the water half-heartedly, the touch of his skin against hers distracted him.

Amaya was content to just sit and not talk, though it did bother her a little that he didn't answer her question. She wouldn't bring it up again though, unless she had to, which she doubted she would. Amaya turned her gaze to the water, still drawing little circles on the ground next to her. She was paying attention to Monte much, so it startled her when she suddenly found him in her lap. A dark blush immediately burned her cheeks. "Wh-what are you doing?" She asked quietly, silently cursing herself for stuttering.
