Anne nodded, attempting a slower pronunciation first, "chah-l heh-so-yo," she cleared her voice before attempting faster. "chal haessoyo." she spoke correctly, hesitating a bit, but still correct. "How's that?" she asked, curious about how she was doing so far, before grinning wider at his recent comment about becoming more fluent in English. "Well, first off, I think you mean, fluent. Flu-ent." she giggled, "and secondly, I can already tell you'll be fluent in no time. You already speak English quite well as it is." she complimented, hoping that would bring his hopes up even further.

Kan nodded in approval at her Korean, then grinned widely at her compliment. "We learn in school, but it's not very good teaching. Boring class. I try learn more when I hear I come to US, but it's so hard." He said, whining by the last couple words.

Anne nodded with a grin, chuckling when he mentioned the class he was taking. "Psh, screw school. I'll be your teacher." she laughed aloud. "I bet those teachers don't even know what their doing half the time anyway." she smirked.

Kan smiled widely, "No, I think they don't know well. Very often native Korean teach English." He explained. "I like that you will be my teacher. I will study hard to become better!" He said enthusiastically.

Anne grinned wider when he agreed for her to be his teacher. "Sweet. Although, you know, there will have to be tests. And I will have to grade you each week." she told him again, her facial expression as well as her tone of voice being as serious as possible for at least three seconds before she burst out laughing. "Nah, I'm just kidding! No tests, no grading, all fun. That's my motto!" she shouted, still laughing when she finished.

Kan looked like a deer caught in headlights as she was mentioning tests and whatnot. As Anne started laughing, he relaxed, "Don't scare me like that!" He said, smiling, a hand over his heart, feeling relieved.

Anne continued laughing, "Sorry, but you got to admit. That was pretty damn funny." she snickered again, "You should of seen your face, you were just like.." she added, mocking Kan's earlier frightened expression, laughing afterward.

Kan's smile remained, but he kept whining, "You so mean!" He complained. "I don't look like that... right?" He said confidently until the last part, back to whining.

Anne continued her little snickers, she really did enjoy teasing others, especially ones who were so easy. "Nah, I'm exaggerating." she responded to his question in return, slipping out some giggles in between. "I'm not that mean, by the way..." she smirked, "I just like messing with people. And you're just so easy to mess with." she laughed once more, touching his hand lightly to show she was joking with him.

Kan laughed it off, then paused as he realized one of the words was so... confusing. "eggs.. egzaje-ate?" He asked, looking distressed all over again.

Anne sighed, realizing the word she had just used on him. Of course. I gotta use smaller words on this kid. "Exaggerate." she repeated back to him. "It means that I extend the truth farther than I should. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but I can give another example." she rolled her eyes to her head, thinking of another way to explain to him the word he was having trouble with. "Um..like, say I told you that I was so short, that toddlers would think I was their age. That would be me exaggerating, because," she laughed at her example, "of course I'm not that short, and I don't think I look like a toddler either." she chuckled. "Does that make sense? Ex-a-ger-ate."

"Oh... ecks-zah-jer-ate. It's too hard. I never use it." Kan said determinedly, shaking his head. "Strange example." He added with a small laugh. "Do Americans really say things like that?"

"That was close." Anne praised, laughing lightly still. "Well, I don't know about the other American's, but I certainly don't talk like that." she chuckled, punching his shoulder playfully, "that was just a random example I thought of just now."

Kan laughed and nodded. Finished with his meal, he looked around. "What else is (there) to do in mall?" He asked curiously. He was expecting a place like Coex Mall, but this was turning out to be much different.

Pushing her plate aside, for she was far from done with her own meal, Anne looked around the mall thinking what there was left to do. "Well, what I normally do is head to the indoor skate park. But I doubt that's what you want to do." she shrugged slightly. "The only reason why I even come to the mall is for the music, food and skate boarding." she admitted to him, forbidding herself to mention all the shopping most of the other girls her age prefer to do here.
