Chelsea grinned. "Oh, so he's tall?" She winked, it didn't give her much to go on, but it was still good to know that he just might be taller than her. "I'm sure anyone over the age of ten would look a little moronic doing what I just did and I can't wait to see him, just so I can picture him rubbing a little felt heart between his hands and rubbing it on his ears and eyes. She took her polar bear to the wall of clothing she'd been admiring before and grinned as she picked out a similar outfit to what she was wearing. A pair of skinny jeans, a navy blue baby doll top, a white belt, and a pair of gray converse. "Alright Jersey any more requests?"

Jersey smiled as she finished dressing her bear and nodded, "Well, there's just one more thing..." He walked her over to the counter and gave a look to the woman standing behind it who handed him a Build-A-Bear box. He turned back to Chelsea and smiled. "Trade me?" he asked. The box contained a brown bear with a lighter brown-colored nose. It was dressed in a flannel, black and white plaid, long-sleeve shirt and a pair of jeans with a purple sock hat on it's head. It too had a message recorded on a small soundbox that was put into the hand of the bear the same way Chelsea had been told to do. It said in Bo's voice, "Dear Chelsea, I hope you enjoyed this dare. The reason I did it was because this way, even if we never meet, we'll have a part of each other forever, even if it's only a voice. Love, Bo. P.S. Thanks for giving me a shot."

Jersey handed her the bear and she immediately listened to it's message and then smiled up at Jersey. "So what exactly does this mean? I mean, I get that this is a small part of him I can keep, but am I giving you the notebook now to give to him, or did he leave further instructions?" She put the cute little bear into the box and handed the polar bear to him. "If it is goodbye, then tell him I'm going to be searching for him. She ran her fingers over the bear's ear and then took the notebook out of her bag.

Jersey shrugged, "Don't worry, you can't get rid of him that easy, I was instructed to take the composition book only when or if you completed the dare. So along with this bear, I'm going to need the notebook. Don't worry, I won't read it, so everything in it is only you and Bo's business," he answered her question. "I've also been instructed to take it to him right away, so he'll get it as soon as I leave."

Chelsea started to pass him the notebook and then pulled it away quickly, not to tease him or anything, but because she didn't tell him where to leave it. "Sorry, one second." She flipped through the pages until she came to her last response and jotted in a new location.
P.S. Leave the notebook at Palmer's Burgers and Fries. Anywhere on the counter is fine, the owner will just put it in lost and found and I'll claim it, swear.
P.S.S. They have the best Milk Shakes and Abby, the owner, plays The Maine often.
She closed the notebook and handed it to Jersey. "It was nice meeting you, oh and, uh I have two favors to ask of you. I know I'm a complete stranger and all and you really don't have to do anything I ask, but please don't describe me to him, it'll ruin the fun. No matter how hard he begs and he said that all of his friends have given him a hard time about getting this notebook back from them, could you kindly follow suit, make him sweat a little." She picked up her new bear and waved good bye. "Thanks."

Jersey smiled at the girl as she started to say her goodbyes. He listened to her request and nodded, “Hey, its only fair, if he won’t tell you, you shouldn’t have to tell him.” He listened to her final order and grinned, “Oh, I can make him sweat, don’t worry. Your mission is safe and will be executed.” He waved back to her and watched her leave before he paid for the Polar Bear she’d made and started back out to his car where his best friend was waiting. Bo saw him walk out with the bear and instantly moved from his seat and was out of the car. “Notebook,” he ordered to which Jersey shook his head. “Neh, I don’t think so. Not right now anyway. I’m feeling pizza, do you want pizza?” Bo furrowed his brow. “Jersey, come on, I just want to read it, we can eat pizza and I’ll read it on the way.” Jersey shrugged at his best friend, “Nah, I think I’ll wait… You want to buy my pizza too? Oh, how courteous of you. I did after all save your ass from failing miserably with this chick—she’s cute, by the way,” he said with a grin. “I can see why you like her. Bo shook his head, “Alright, Jers, this should be the easiest tradeoff ever. Look, you give me book, I buy you pizza. Does your small caveman brain understand now?” he asked, starting to get agitated. “Alright, once you buy me the pizza I’ll give you the book and bear, but only after,” Jersey told him, hoping that was enough sweating for Bo’s new friend, CH. Once at the pizza parlor, pizza ordered and paid for, they sat down and Jersey gave Bo the notebook along with the Build-A-Bear, figuring that the extra embarrassment of the gift would have made Chelsea proud. Bo immediately opened the notebook and read smiling the entire time. He took out a pen and started to write as the pizza arrived at the table, which Jersey dug into, but Bo wrote instead. Dear Chelsea, I wouldn’t dream of ending our strange yet somehow addictive relationship, I know that it may have seemed that way in my last entry, but you see, I only meant that in the off chance that you decided you didn’t want to do those things in the Build-A-Bear (although I’m very glad that you did, because it means a lot to me). I can assure you, my dear CH, that I do not have red hair, but Joey is a very friendly guy. I am however the only guy who works there with Green eyes. That is all I can tell you about myself, because I don’t want you to find me out before I want you to. I would love to hear your long story about how your sister became your mother sometime, but probably later, after we’ve met. I’ve decided that I want to meet you, but I don’t know exactly when yet. You’re exciting to me and I would really like to get to know you, in person, not through these words. I understand that you feel like you’re talking to yourself, because I feel like I am too, which is why when I write a journal I usually name said journal, just to feel like I’m talking to a close friend and not an empty book of pages. I think that’s why I want to meet you, so that you become more than that book of pages and turn into something real. I will try to go to Palmer’s Burgers and Fries as soon as possible and try out those milkshakes. I’ll probably go right after Jersey finishes the pizza he made me buy. Can you believe that? My best friend and he wouldn’t let me have the notebook back until I bought him a pizza. I guess that’s what happens to people who think with their stomachs. They turn into mean people who don’t return your belongings without a price. (I like the owner’s choice of music, although you knew that.) Love, Bo P.S. Leave this at 1400 Parnell Avenue. On the ground beside the mailbox will be fine. As soon as Jersey had finished the pizza, Bo told him the plan and they set off for Palmer’s. He’d seen this place, and had always wanted to try it, but had never actually done so. He walked in with his best friend still in the car and walked straight up to the counter, setting the notebook down and placing an order for a banana milkshake. He received it and smiled, she wasn’t lying, it was a damn good milkshake. He started away from the counter and toward the door, but he decided to sit down and enjoy it a bit, texting Jersey to tell him to go home. He would walk.

Chelsea carried her new stuffed animal through the mall with her, she made a few stops along the way, not really buying anything, until she stopped in the book store. She purchased another spiral notebook, this one with the spiral along the top and then made her way home, to the apartment above the diner. She parked her 2006 yellow Chevy Cobalt behind the diner and made her way up the stairs in the back, she dropped her two packages, and her book bag off and promptly changed into her blue diner outfit. She tied her hair back the best she could and proceeded down the stairs that lead into the actual diner. Abby was busy clearing the counter as an elderly couple made their way toward the door, leaving one solitary customer at the end of the counter finishing his milkshake. She raised a curious eyebrow at the guy and then shrugged and helped Abby finish cleaning up. She did not spot the notebook at the other end of the counter where Bo had recently been sitting and while she carried the dishes into the back, she did not see her sister swipe the notebook from the counter and toss it in the lost and found bin.
Completely unsuspecting she walked back into the diner, seated a couple at a booth behind Bo and proceeded right past him to the back to place their drink orders. She didn't even bother to check the lost and found bin, not thinking he might have received the notebook while she was browsing the racks at Pacsun or searching for the perfect spiral notebook to leave with the composition book for Bo or that he might have already dropped it off and gone. She passed Bo a third time to deliver the drink orders of the couple and upon leaving them to decide on a meal choice she passed him a fourth time. Abby asked her to check on him and she did. "Hi, is there anything else I can get you?" She asked in her most perky, happy voice. She was usually like this, but today she was much happier than normal, mostly because of Bo, but a part of her wasn't so sure she and Bo would ever become more than just pen pals, unless she specifically sat at Mud and Grinds from open to close everyday and painfully looked for him with nothing but his eye color to go by. She assumed it wouldn't be that difficult, Holly had a nametag on, but if Bo was just a nickname and not his real name or if like at the Diner only Abby actually had a name tag that said her real name on it. Her current nametag said Mabel on it mostly because if you came in there looking for her specifically chances were good you already knew her and Mabel just seemed like a good Diner Girl's name and Abby thought it added character. "How about a refill on your milkshake?" She eyed his milkshake carefully. "Banana right?" She gave him her best smile and waited patiently for any kind of a response not usual protocol because business was usually booming and the waitresses had to just buzz around and refill glasses, but because they were exceptionally slow today and because she thought he was cute, she hung by his side.

Bo didn't hear her as she spoke the first time, or he just wasn't paying attention, rather. He was too busy thinking about Chelsea and what she might look like and what she might be doing after going to Build-A-Bear that day. He glanced at the waitress and jumped lightly, then laughed a bit at himself, "Sorry, I uh--nah, I just got done with a pizza, but I was given a tip that you guys had the best milkshakes and couldn't resist." He smiled lightly at her and then looked down to her nametag, but her name was Mabel. He sighed. "Uh yeah, a fill up would be great," he said politely. He kind of wished he could meet Chelsea, maybe that's why he was staying here so long, maybe just to try to get a glimpse of her, not that he knew what she looked like. He felt the urge to spill all to this waitress, just because she was being nice, but just as he was about to speak he changed his mind and shut his mouth. He'd keep it just between he and Chelsea. He thought it was better that way.

Chelsea laughed with him when he jumped and apologized. The comment about being tipped off abut their milkshakes wasn't an uncommon one so she didn't even put two and two together. "Well I don't know who the tipper was, but I'm certainly glad he or she sent you in here. We'll have a customer for life." She winked. "I'll get you that refill, you get one free after the first one, it's something Abby was adamant about when she opened the place. She hated going to diners or restaurants that offered milkshakes, but made you pay for every one, fountain drink refills are free, why not a milkshake?" She knew he probably didn't care, but it was something she was pretty adamant about as well, it was an expensive luxury, but one that usually kept people coming back. "Sorry, sitting here blabbing away, I'll get your shake and leave you alone." She turned swiftly on her heels, her pony tail swaying briefly, though there wasn't much there to do much. She went back into the kitchen to start the milkshake, but also to thank her sister for sending her over to check on the guy.
Abby looked up when Chelsea walked in, but returned to tending to the silverware. "That guy is so cute, how old do you think he is?" Chelsea asked, hand scooping vanilla ice cream into the mixer. Abby put her sorting on hold and looked out at the counter. "Twenty something and he is cute." Chelsea squirted the banana flavoring into the mixer and set it up on the hand mixer, closing the lid and letting it do it's magic, she went to stand beside Abby and looked out at the guy. "He doesn't seem like much of a talker, but I can fix that…oh, you remember me telling you about the mysterious Bo and his composition notebook? He had me at the mall today making a bear at Build-A-Bear, but the catch was I didn't get to keep the bear I made, he made one and had his friend give it to me. I'll show you later." Abby laughed and went back to the silverware and Chelsea returned to the milkshake, it was done, she placed a cherry on it. "Hey Chel, don't get your hopes up on this Bo guy, he may be sweet on paper, but if he's hiding from you, maybe that's a good thing, don't just pass this guy up because you want to wait on Bo." Chelsea smiled, her sister was right, but a small part of her wanted Bo more than anyone else in the universe. "Here you go." She slid the milkshake toward him from about a foot, not very impressive, but he probably wouldn't have expected her to send it flying down from the other end. "So would you like a little company? We're not exactly busy."

Bo smiled as she started explaining about the free refill on milkshakes. He nodded, "That's definitely a good philosophy to live on. You mind if I steal that when I open my own coffee shop? Well, you know, for coffee not milkshakes, obviously." he said, although he figured that Mabel wouldn't mind. He smiled again and thanked her as she went to refill his milkshake. He was starting to like this Mabel, but he knew he would hold out for when he was ready to meet Chelsea, he wanted her more than he'd wanted anything before in his life. He played the bear's speaker over and over in his head, holding onto her voice. He smiled at 'Mabel' as she came back with his shake and looked up at her, "I would actually love some company, you know, as long as I don't get you in trouble, because that would suck..." He took a drink of his milkshake and glanced over at her, "So new friend, how was your day?" he asked lightly.

Chelsea shook her head. "I won't get in trouble, we only have one table besides you and Abby will handle it." She looked over her shoulder at the couple who were still looking over the menu's. "Besides even if I do have to wait on their table, it's not like they'll be too demanding." She sat down at one of the stools beside him. "Did I hear you say something about opening a coffee shop?" It sounded peculiar, but it just felt too good to be true that this guy could be Bo, because it was something she imagined he would say. "Well new friend…" She played along. "My day was actually quite marvelous. I couldn't have asked for a better day. A friend of mine treated me and embarrassed me all at the same time, but if I was asked to do it all again, I would." She smiled and stretched her arms across the counter, crossing her wrists and splaying her fingers, feeling perfectly content with life. "What about you?"

Bo smiled, “In that case, please join me because I would love if you would sit with me.” He smirked and turned his head to look at the couple sitting at the table. He looked back at the girl he thought was ‘Mabel’ and said, “Uhm yeah, I’m hoping to open up my own coffee shop sometime down the road, after I graduate from Riverside, obviously. I work over at Mud and Grinds, but I wanna move somewhere bigger…” He looked over at her with a smile as she said her day was good. “Uhm, well, actually yeah, I’ve been having a pretty good day. And its funny that your friend treated you because my friend made me buy him a pizza, right before I came over here.” He smirked down at the counter, shaking his head.

Chelsea stopped stretching when he mentioned that he worked at Mud and Grinds and turned without ceremony to look at him. Sure it could still be a coincidence that he worked at Mud and Grinds, she didn't frequent it as often as some of her other hang outs, but there was most definitely more than one guy, but her stomach filled with butterflies anyway. Not knowing that he was the only guy with green eyes, she didn't even search for this key detail. Chelsea dismissed it, it just wasn't possible that this guy was also her Bo. "Well I'm sure one day he'll have to purchase you a pizza somewhere down the road, I wouldn't hold it against him. So Riverside? How close are you to obtaining your degree?" She looked away, ashamed that she'd stared at him for a minute too long. "I just started last semester, so if you're nearly finished, I am immensely jealous." She giggled and turned on her stool.

Bo smirked and shook his head lightly, giving her a soft chuckle. “Yeah right, he’s such a moocher it’s not even funny. He’ll never buy me anything, I wouldn’t have bought it, but he had something that I… needed…” He licked his lips and shook his head. He looked back over at her and nodded, “Well, I’ve been going for four semesters, so if all goes according to plan then it’ll be a couple years until I get my bachelor’s. He nodded at her statement and raised a brow, “Really? Well what are you going for, because I don’t think I’ve ever seen you around anywhere…”

Chelsea hesitated in her answer. She wanted to ask him his name just to be cartain it wasn't him, but something kept her from asking. Everything he said point to Bo, and yet nothing really screamed it. She assumed she was projecting Bo on this guy, simply because she wanted meet him and she wanted this guy to be him. He works at Mud and Grinds, but so do a lot of guys. He attends Riverside University, and his friend had something of his that he needed. All possibly coincidental.
"I'm majoring in English and minoring in photography. I want to be a photo-journalist some day but I still have a long way to go. So depending on your major, the classes you're taking, and taking into condiseration the size of the school, there's a fair chance we would never run into each other, you know?"
