Bo was sipping on his milkshake when she told him what she was going to school for. He stopped as soon as she stated it and looked over at her, "Really? English and Photography?" he asked. It couldn't be her, there was absolutely no way. He shook his head with a smile, "I'm a photography major. Coincidence I guess," he said with a smirk. He looked back across the counter and took a drink of his milkshake. "This is a really good milkshake, I'm glad she told me to come here... I got to get a hell of a milkshake and a new friend all at the same time." He glanced over and smiled at 'Mabel'.

Chelsea blinked and looked away, she was convinced now, there was no way this could be a coincidence any longer, he had too much in common with Bo, she could write off working at the coffee shop and attending the university, but being a photography major as well? She looked back as he continued to talk, she smiled at his comment about the milkshake being good and then again she was certain it was him when he said 'she told me to come here.' She shook her head and started to ask him his name, just to be certain when the couple behind them called for her attention. "Excuse me." She said to Bo, blushing slightly before leaving his side to tend to the couple. She took their hefty order and in passing she apologized to him. "It was nice meeting you and I'm glad to hear you liked the milkshake…in case you have to leave before I can come back." She knew she wouldn't be able to return, Abby would need help preparing and though she wanted to quickly ask him for his name or even his number, she knew it would ruin the element of surprise if she found out and told him before he was ready.

Bo was about to ask her another question, something along the lines of, 'Have you been trading a notebook with a stranger named Bo for the past week?' but before he had the chance the couple had called for her attention and he licked his lips and nodded at her statement, quite disappointed, "Uhm, yeah, I'll be back, it was nice meeting you too. I give you and A-plus on taste and service," he said with a smile as he got off the stool andshoved his hands into his pockets, glancing one last time at the girl before he walked out the door and toward his house, only to discover Chelsea's bear in the box sitting on his front porch, obviously left there by Jersey. He picked it up and pressed the speaker for it to talk and swallowed, it HAD been her. He licked his lips, fighting to urge to sprint back to the diner and spill his guts and admitting to how much he thought about her on a daily basis and how he was probably falling in love with her, even though he barely knew her.

Once Bo left Chelsea didn't have much time to do any more thinking on the matter. The couple that claimed her attention and stole her opportunity to ask Bo his named ordered a colossal amount of food and business picked up immediately following. It wasn't until the last customer, a gentleman who was new to the town named Michael, left with his three burgers and a kid's Mac N' Cheese that Chelsea got around to thinking about the guy and his all too similar characteristics to Bo. She was more than convinced when he left, but now that the hard evidence wasn't before her, she wasn't so sure. She'd completely forgotten about the bear upstairs in her room and had she remembered she wouldn't have stayed downstairs with Abby until she finished counting down the registers. "So did you get the guy's number?" Abby asked as she placed the bills into a deposit pouch. Chelsea shook her head. "No Colossal couple robbed me of my opportunity and I was a little nervous to be honest." She sighed and rested her chin on her propped up hand. "Abby I think he was Bo." Abby zipped the pouch closed and gave Chelsea an "I'm sure it wasn't look."
Chelsea shrugged and started toward the stairs that lead to the apartment, but as she passed the lost and found bin she spotted the notebook. She pulled it out and grinned, it was him. It was at that moment that she realized her bear upstairs had a small recording of the guy she was slowly falling head over heals for, she rushed upstairs and grabbed the bear, pressed the button and fell onto her bed at the sound of Banana Milkshake guy's voice filled her room. She was all smiles, they'd met and didn't even know it, but something tore at her. "Why didn't he say anything, my name was was displayed right on my chest." She pulled the 'Mabel' nametag off and turned it in her fingers, of cours. This new information made her wonder if he knew or not. She hadn't exactly been discreet about her studies, but was that enough for him to pick up on it? To look past the nametag pinned ot her shirt? She wasn't sure. She flipped the notebook open and read what he wrote. She lost her smile, her drop off location lead him right to her and if she didn't realize who she was, she was afraid he might be upset if he found out she knew who he was before he'd planned.
The rest of his entry only proved that it was him because he'd mentioned buying a friend a pizza. She was happy to hear Jersey had kept his promise but she was afraid of where his drop off location would lead her. Was that his address? Would he be waiting there for her? All these possibilities made her stomach fill with butterflies again and she was terrified of the repercussions that might follow because of her choice.
Dear Bo,
I've been debating with myself for a few hours now, trying to figure out if I should tell you or lock this away, but I've decided to tell you. I know who you are and I'm certain you know who I am now too. The only thing I can think of that might have kept you guessing was my silly nametag 'Mabel' is just one of the fun nametags my sister Abby, and I came up with because we thought it added character if all the help took on the 'classic' diner girl names. I must tell you I enjoyed our rather short conversation and only wish it would have lasted longer. I would like to meet you again sometime, maybe not at the diner, I don't exactly care for the blue dress my sister insists we wear and I'm embarrassed by the fact that you saw me in it rather than my normal attire. So if you're up for it….I'd like you to hand deliver the notebook to me. It can be on your schedule. If it's too soon. I understand and I apologize I didn't exactly expect you to show up hours after I passed on the notebook to Jersey. My sister and I live above the diner in the apartment so if you'd like to continue pen paling it with me without actually seeing me, newspaper this baby. (Leave it at the foot of the stairs, diner or back apartment stairs.) Other wise knock, if Abby isn't in the Diner she usually knows where I am or how to reach me. That's it for now.
Love, Chelsea
P.s. Next milkshake is on me.
She dropped the notebook off at the desired/recommended local the next morning, wrapped carefully in it's triple sealed bag.

Bo found the notebook outside at his mailbox the next morning when he went outside to retrieve the mail for his mother. He smiled as he saw it in the triple-seal plastic bag. She must have put it there that morning. He shook his head lightly as he picked up the notebook and carried it back inside. He licked his lips and once he was in his room and sitting on his bed, he opened it and read what she’d written. So she’d known too. He grinned and read, knowing that he had to meet her now and he wanted to. He really wanted to, today. He took a pen from his bedside table and wrote once again, although this time it was very short. Dear Chelsea, I know who you are too. The nametag threw me off for a little bit, until you started telling me about school and I came home and pressed the speaker on your polar bear and knew it was you. I’m happy that I’m finally going to meet you. Love, Bo P.S. I think the blue dress is cute Bo smiled and closed the notebook before getting dressed. He wore a purple, green and blue flannel along with a pair of ripped straight-leg jeans. He pulled on his sailor jacket and set off to the florist to buy a single rose and then he went to the back stairs of the apartment, around eleven thirty, so everyone should be awake, he figured the diner served breakfast. He swallowed and fixed his hair slightly, or messed it up a little bit is more true. He then licked his lips and knocked on the door.

Chelsea was finishing up an English paper for her introduction to Journalism class when she heard the knock on the door. After she dropped it off, she stopped by Mud and Grinds for a heavily caffeinated tea and went back home to start her paper. She wasn't expecting to see him, but she grinned when she did. She opened the door for him and had an incredible urge to give him a hug. "I'm so glad to see you." She said instead. "I was seriously hoping I wouldn't have to wait for weeks to see you again. As you now know I'm Chelsea and definitely not Mabel. Did Jersey give you a really hard time? I mean I know he made you buy him a pizza, but he wasn't too hard on you right?"

Bo smiled as the door swung open and he saw her. He licked his lips as he started to talk and he shook his head. "No, no, he was fine. Uhm... I feel like I'm meeting you for the first time, even though we met yesterday, so um..." He held out the rose to her and bit his lip before he cleared his throat and starting to speak, "Hi, I'm Bo Grey, I'm the kid that left the stupid black composition book in the corner of the coffee shop I work at in a desperate attempt to find love--" He shut up and closed his eyes tight before he shook his head, "I'm sorry, c-could we just close the door? I'll knock again, just..." He reached out and pulled the door closed and licked his lips before knocking again.

Chelsea was glad to see he was just as nervous as she was about meeting one another and she laughed as he pulled the door closed and knocked again. She stopped laughing and opened the door, unsure what she should say or do now that the door was reopened. "Hi, can I help you?" She asked, trying to refrain from laughing.

Bo licked his lips as she asked her question and gave her a serious nod, "Yes, actually. I'm Bo, and I was hoping that you would want to go on... a date... with me..? Right now..?" he asked nervously. His palms were sweating like crazy and as much as he hated to admit it, this was the most nervous he'd ever been in his entire life. He felt like there must be some way that he would screw this up, or maybe that she had built him up in her mind and he couldn't live up to it and be that guy. He looked directly into her eyes, though, hoping her answer would be yes. He held the single red rose out to her, hoping it might some way persuade her.

Chelsea smiled as he asked her out on a date, she took the rose from him and tucked her bottom lip beneath her top teeth. "I would love to go on a date with you. Right now." She tilted the rose back and forth gently. "Would you mind coming in for a second, so I can grab my jacket and my purse?" She tilted her head. "Or if you're uncomfortable with that you can stand out here in the cold...?" She gave him her best smile and looked over her shoulder into the living room.

Bo smiled as she said that she would and let out a breath that he hadn't realized he'd been holding. He nodded as she asked him to step in and then shook his head, "No, I kind of feel like it'd be more awkward if I waited int the cold. I already feel awkward enough, so I don't need anything else to add to it," he said with a light blush. He ran a nervous hand through his hair, not really sure why he was so nervous, he had never had trouble around girls before, but for some reason this felt different, more important than a normal date.

Chelsea nodded and without a seconds hesitation she took his hand in hers and led him into the living room and closed the door. She let his hand go and walked into her bedroom where she grabbed her brown jacket, the one she'd worn when she found the notebook in the first place, her green scarf and her purse and started back into the living room. "May I ask where you're taking me?" She buttoned up the jacket and wrapped the green scarf around her neck to save time. "I don't want to be underdressed." She was admiring his outfit, she was a huge fan of flannel, though she'd never seen such an oddity of color combinations before.

Bo was shocked when she took his hand, praying to God that she wouldn't notice how sweaty his palms were from nerves. He licked his lips as he watched her disappear and looked around the room that she'd left him in. He rather liked it, but guessed it was mostly her sister's doing, since she was apparently the one who owned it. She walked back in and he smiled at her, "Well, I wasn't planning on anything too fancy, I mean, the coffee shop doesn't make me a millionaire, and I was kind of thinking... bowling?" he asked, raising a brow, hoping she'd like that idea. "Uhm, if you don't like that idea I was thinking a burger place, but I think the only one around that's good is your sister's diner." He licked his lips, "If you'd like that, though I'm totally up for it and--" he stopped his rambling and shook his head, "Sorry... I'm talking too much... I like your scarf."

Chelsea liked him a lot, he was already adorable, but his nervous rambling just made him that much cuter. She wasn't expecting anything expensive, she worked for her money as well, and though a lot of it was put into savings or better yet into college books she wasn't about to demand a lunch at the most expensive restaurant in town. "Bowling sounds good or I could go for a burger, either is fine by me. If we eat at the diner though, you have to let me get you a milkshake alright. I said I would and I'm sticking to it." She winked and looked down at her scarf. "I like it too, such a nice color green don't you think?" She giggled and pointed to the door beside the TV stand. "If we're going to the diner we can just go down the stairs, you get to cut through the storage room, get a sneak peak at the kitchen too."

Bo smiled at her and nodded, "Well, I could definitely go for a milkshake, maybe we won't eat everything there?" he asked her, hoping she would agree, he did want to take her somewhere besides her sister's diner, that wasn't much of a date, after all. He clenched his teeth as she said they would cut through the kitchen, "Uhm... Your sister won't grill me with questions, will she? Or lecture me? I think I might pass out if that happens, I'm not going to lie to you..." He wasn't trying to act cool, he figured that she already knew he wasn't a cool guy so why try? He licked his lips and looked at her again, "I also want to get this out of the way, I'm really glad that you're as cute as you are..." He blushed again, not sure why he'd just told her that, but he'd said it, so he went with it.
