Riley took a deep breath, pushing the door open. She looked around the diner. Guinevere had told her that her friend said they had good milkshakes here. Riley licked her lips, playing with a hair strand. A waiter walked up to her, and the two walked towards a booth. "Thank you," Riley told him with a small smile. She looked at the menu, and smiled up at him, "One strawberry milkshake, please." she told him. The waiter nodded, and walked back towards the kitchen. Riley tucked a strand of her brown hair behind her ear. The waiter set the milkshake on her table, "Thank you," she smiled up at him. The girl sipped the milkshake, a small smile on her face.

Quo slipped his hoodie over his head. It had just started to rain a little and he really didn't feel like walking the rest of the way home. He cut into Palmer's, deciding to get a shake while he was there. He was thirsty, but he would have the milkshake anyways because Palmer's shakes were actually good. He sighed, looking around for an open booth. He tilted his head when he saw a familiar face though, sitting wiuth a strawberry milkshake. A waiter came over to seat him but he waved him off. "I'm meeting someone." he lied easily, walking over to Riley. "Anyone sitting here?" He gestured to the seat in front of her, pulling down his hoodie so she might remember his blue hair better from the grocery store.

Looking up, a small smile appeared on Riley's face. "Quo," she blurted outloud. Her cheeks tinted pink. She hoped she hadn't sounded too eager, she didn't want to look like some antisocial freak who's best-friend was a guy she talked to in the grocery store. She bit her lower lip at the thought. What a great way to make friends! She had been getting quite talkative around the house, it startled her siblings. She smiled, shrugging it off and taking a sip of her strawberry milkshake. "Mmm..." she whispered to herself, smiling. It tasted delicious, really good. Riley licked her lips and leaned back. "N-n-nobody's sitting there." she said, tripping on her words. She blushed, "Um, so, Quo," she started, "What have you been up to?"

Quo smiled slightly when she blurted out his name. At least she remembered. "Hey Riley." He replied back. He didn't mind her stuttering when she told him no one was sitting in the seat; he'd gotten used to girls stuttering. He sat down and looked up at her when she asked him a question. "Not much. I made an Asian dish the other day. It was good, this girl I met taught me."

Riley nodded. Somehow, she felt a little jealous...? She shrugged it off, it was nothing, but bit her lower lip softly. "Uh, that's um...cool." she stuttered, her brown gaze on her milkshake. She wasn't the jealous type, of course, and didn't want to seem like the jealous type. Riley took a deep breath, sipping her strawberry milkshake. A weak smile appeared on her face for a moment.

Quo didn't take her stutter to be anything more than the usual nervousness. He raised his hand for a waiter and politely asked her, "Chocolate Milkshake please. No whip." She nodded and bustled off. Quo turned back to Riley with a small sigh. "What have you been up to then?"

Riley smiled and took a deep breath when he didn't notice her jealousy. "Not much, really." she said with a sigh, "I got a call from my cousin, she's getting married." she told him. She was happy for her cousin, who was living in Korea. Her cousin had told her that she and her fiancee were going to Riverside to visit her. She was excited for the two. Riley bit her lower lip. The girl smiled, sipping her strawberry milkshake. "Mmm..." she said, enjoying the taste of the milkshake. They did have good milkshakes here. She bit her lip and took a deep breath, leaning back.

Quo nodded. Weddings weren't really his sort of thing, but he was glad when he got to cook for them. The waitress came back with his milkshake and he thanked her, taking it and swirling a spoon around in it. He took some from the spoon and made a face. "They never mix these right. 1/16 too much sugar and 1/9 not enough water. Bleh!" He licked his lips, shaking his head softly.

Riley blushed softly. She couldn't stop herself from laughing at what Quo had said. He was a cook, maybe that's what they did. "You should tell them." she said with a small giggle. She thought that the milkshakes tasted fine. They were really good. She licked her lips. "I think they're fine." she said, with a giggle. Riley took a sip out of her strawberry milkshake. She licked her lips. "Or maybe that's just me. I'm not a cook like you, so..." Riley did cook sometimes for her family, but Nina or Kayla cooked more. She laughed and wiped her mouth with a napkin. Riley tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, her dark brown gaze going on back to her milkshake. "I...I didn't offend you, did I?" she blurted out suddenly, hoping she hadn't.

Quo scoffed. "Yeah and have them look at me funny like they usually do when I complain of simple mistakes." He didn't think he had spoken too harshly, just shrugging at her next sentence. When she got a little worried if she had offended him though, he raised his hand to stop her. "He only thing that offends me is if you tell me my cooking sucks. Which you haven't yet so you're good."

A small blush appeared on Riley's cheeks. "Oh, I'm sure they wouldn't do that." she said with a small giggle. Her blush deepened, "Okay, good." she told him, her gaze on the milkshake. "But you should tell them." she said with a giggle. "I'm sure they'll understand..." her voice trailed off. "Er, or...maybe they won't." she muttered with a soft giggle, hoping she wasn't sounding too girly with her blushing and giggling. She bit her lower lip softly, sipping her strawberry milkshake.

Quo shook his head lightly, taking another sip of his milkshake. The first time was really just sort of a joke for a laugh, but he guessed he had sounded to serious. "What, you want me to get up so you can have a clear getaway?" He turned his sharp blue eyes up to hers, letting out a small smirk to show he was kidding with her.

"N-n-no!" she stuttered out loud. "I'm enjoying your company." she told him simply, a small smile appearing on Riley's face. She blushed softly. "I can come with you, if you want." she said, biting her lower lip. If Quo didn't think that their milkshakes were as good as his, he must be knowing his stuff. A weak smile appeared on the girl's face, and she took a sip of her strawberry milkshake. It tasted fine to her. Riley bit her lower lip. "Come on," she started, blushing softly, and tugging on his arm. Hopefully she hadn't been bossy. Riley bit her lower lip. "I'll come with you." she said.

Quo smirked softly when she stuttered, shaking his head. "I guess I should stick to being a cook and not trying to be a comedian. It sounds like I'm coming off serious." He blinked when she pulled his arm and tried to take him to the kitchens again. He sighed, he really shouldn't have said anything if he knew she was going to be this persistent. "Riley." He pulled her back down, shaking his head. "It's fine. I promise. Just finish your milkshake and I'll take you to like the park or something. I don't really think they'd take me seriously anyways." He pushed her milkshake towards her and continued to drink his, closing the subject. It wasn't a bad milkshake, it was just different than what he thought it was supposed to be.
