Daniel sighed, closing his deep brown eyes. His family was new in Riverside, and his sister and her son had moved out, but close to them. And he didn't know anybody in Riverside, or have any friends. Maybe he would make a friend. The worst part was that his girlfriend that had cheated on him was calling, and wanted to visit him in Riverside. He didn't want to see the girl who shattered his heart--and was over her. But despite this, he didn't want to crush her heart, like she crushed his. He took a deep breath. I have to tell her, he thought, biting his lower lip softly. But how would she take it? Daniel sighed, and took a sip of his coffee. He leaned back in his chair, his gaze looking around the Coffee Shop. It was full, there were people in all of the tables with their coffee. It was packed. There weren't any seats left, he noticed, as his gaze went around the Coffee Shop. He bit his lower lip, his gaze going back to his coffee. He sighed and sipped it. His old girlfriend was calling quite a lot. Maybe the guy she cheated on him with broke up with her...? Or maybe she broke up with him. Do I really care about this crap? he asked himself angrily, biting his lower lip. He wasn't jealous. Of course not. She had cheated on him, and he shouldn't be missing her. Maybe he wasn't.

Savannah edged her way into the packed coffee shop, she could have chose to go somewhere else but she knew this place made the best coffee around. After all she had spent quiet a lot of time here studying when it was less busy than it was today. Ordering her skinny latte with cinnamon sprinkles she scanned the place for an empty seat hoping to spot one on a table where there was someone who looked around her age so she could try and at least spark up a conversation. She had been trying to break the habit of being shy around new people and had spoke to a few people in the past but they had all been older so she felt it was easier to talk to them. But she still hadn't told anyone about her daughter. Looking at her watch she had about an hour or two until she had to be home to make Carmel's dinner and bathe and put her to bed. Taking a deep breathe in she made her way over toward a cute looking boy who seemed lost in his own thoughts. ''hey is this seat taken'' Savannah asked tapping the boy lightly on the shoulder before pointing towards the empty seat. Sending a silent pray that the seat was empty, she didn't want to go and sit next to the creepy looking guy on the next table.

There were people everywhere, and all of the seats were taken. He looked up as he saw a pretty girl walking towards him. She asked him if the seat was taken. Daniel smiled softly at her, and shook his head. "No, go ahead." he said, biting his lower lip, and hoping that he wouldn't mess up when he was talking, like he usually did. "Well, I'm Daniel," he told her, offering his hand politely in a shake. "Daniel Eli." he didn't know why he told people his last name whenever he introduced himself. Daniel bit his lower lip, a small smile appearing on his face. "Uh, so, do you come here a lot?" he asked, hoping to start a conversation with the girl. He wasn't too great when it came to making friends and talking, but he was friendly and sweet, and this girl seemed the same. He sighed softly, biting his lower lip. She looked friendly, to him.

''thanks'' Savannah smiled pulling out the chair and sitting down on it placing her coffee on the table when he held out his hand extending hers in return and giving it a gentle shake. She wasn't one for hand shakes so she hoped she done it right. ''I'm Savannah and I guess I do come here often. It's a pretty neat place to study when its not so crowded'' mentally slapping herself who said neat these days. She could have used a wide range of words to describe the place but she chose to say neat she hoped that he wouldn't think she was lame for using that word. ''do you come here often'' she asked as she unbuttoned her jacket to take it off pushing it onto the back of her seat so when she was ready to leave it would be easy enough to put back on. picking up her coffee taking a tiny sip out of it so she didn't burn her mouth.

"No problem," Daniel said. Honestly, he was happy that she had joined him. Daniel didn't have anybody else to talk, and he did need some friends in Riverside. Maybe she would be his first friend. He shrugged off the thought, his gaze going to Savannah. "Um, nice to meet you, Savannah." Daniel told her with a small smile. He nodded. "Not really." he started, "I'm kind of new here, and I've just been exploring the city." he had gone to the park, the beach, and here. "And this is pretty much my first time here." he said, leaning back. He took a small sip of his coffee. He would have came here before if somebody told him that there was coffee here. It was quite a nice place. He'd probably come here some more. Daniel bit his lower lip, taking a deep breath.

''oh I've been in Riverside for a while. I moved here with my aunt from another town but before then I lived over in England, not that you can't tell since my accent is still strong'' she smiled shaking her fringe out of her eyes she really did need to get it cut but for the time being shaking it out of her eyes would do. She didn't want to grow it out for fear that her forehead was abnormally large. ''I only come here cause the coffee is the best in town. Well in my eyes its the best in town. I'm sure everyone has their likes and dislikes coffee places.'' Savannah couldn't believe how freely she was talking. She normal stumbled to get words out, or just nodded and shook her head at questioned she was asked. Maybe its was cause the boy who was sat across the table just seemed as shy as she was, he did keep biting down on his lip and most people either did that to try and be sexy or when they where nervous. She was going with nerves since he did it the moment she sat at his table and she could have sworn she's seen him do it before she made her way over.

Daniel nodded. He had noticed her strong accent before. "Oh, that's cool." he started, a small smile appearing on his face. "What's it like there?" he asked her, taking a small sip of his coffee. He smiled. "The coffee is pretty good here." he said. He hadn't gone to the other coffee shops in Riverside. Daniel would probably be going here some more. The coffee here was really good. He bit his lower lip shyly. He wasn't too shy around girls, but somehow, he was shy around Savannah. She seemed friendly, unlike most of the girls he had met. They were flirty, which he actually didn't like. Daniel wasn't interested in them. He bit his lower lip. He took a sip of his coffee. "So, are you attending the university here?" he asked her, she seemed to be about his age. Maybe a year younger. But probably his age. Daniel smiled softly, taking a sip of his coffee.

''It's alright I guess if you like snow since its snows pretty much all winter and the summers can be nice you get the occasional hot day where you can get a tan if you like sunbathing. But I never really did have the time I was either too busy studying or too busy,'' she cut herself off should she says she was too busy looking after her daughter or leave that until later. Figuring she had nothing really to loose or to gain by telling him this information she figured she might as well get it out in the open. ''or too busy with my daughter'' there she thought now its out in the open he knew she had a daughter. Most boys normally made some excuse and left when she told them about Carmel. She wasn't looking for a father figure for her daughter she was looking to make friends, someone outside of being a mum and student. ''I haven't actually started since we moved here only a few months ago and I've been trying to settle in and get a feel for the place. But in September I'm going to start again with my studying retaking my first year since I didn't quiet get to finish it before we moved here. I'm studying law there'' again some people where imitated when she said she was studying law something about having to be brainy to do such course but she found most of it pretty easy, but still struggled on some things. everyone had their downsides to studying right? she thought to herself taking another sip of her coffee, glad it was the right temperature for drinking.

Daniel smiled, and nodded. "I've wanted to go there." he told her. He heard Savannah say that she had a daughter. He didn't leave, like most guys did. They usually weren't interested in a girl that had a child. He loved kids, actually, and loved to visit his sister and her son. "What's her name?" he asked her, a small smile appearing on his face as he thought of his sister, Regan's son. "My sister has a son named Skye." he smiled, Skye and him loved to hang out. But when Regan left, Daniel and Blake have been the most upset. They had loved Regan and Skye. He nodded, a small smile appearing on his face. That meant she was probably around his age. Daniel took a sip out of his coffee, a small smile on his face. The two were getting along fine, which was making him a little happy. Maybe they would become friends...he did need friends. Daniel bit his lower lip. "That's cool." he told her, honestly. His choice of career would be a singer. He loved to write songs and sing, and play his guitar. He sometimes liked to play songs for his sister's son, and they would sing together.

''Well England is nice depending on where you go and what kind of things you like to do. London would be good if you like crowds and street theatre and are pretty rich it's kind of expensive down there since it's the capital of England'' Savannah said she'd only been to London a bunch of times in her life she was from further up north that London since London was pretty much at the bottom of England. ''My daughters called Carmel its a pretty English name I guess not people have heard it before round here'' she said from the few people she had spoken to about Carmel. ''She nearly two now. How old is your nephew then?'' Savannah smiled glad that he hadn't got up and walked away she really valued that. And if he wanted she could see they would become good friends. He'd crossed the first hurdle by not walking away when she had told him about her little girl. ''So are you at Riverside uni then?'' Savannah asked taking another sip of her coffee her eyes not leaving the boys gaze.
