Aya Tay crossed the street as she made her way to Mud and Grinds Coffee Shop. She wanted to get something cold but still dosed with caffeine since the weather had finally let up and beams of the warm sun hit her shoulders. She adjusted the thin straps of the teal tank top she had slipped into before she shrugged out of her black boyfriend blazer which she kept tucked in her arm. The jingling sound of her keys, attached to the small crossbody purse she was wearing was starting to annoy her but she consoled herself with the treat she was in for. Iced coffee, thank God.
She opened the door to the cafe and was instantly hit with smells that were so familiar to her and she couldn't help but miss The Wishing Star. A wistful smile graced her glossed lips as she walked to the counter and ordered an iced cafe latte with an extra shot of espresso. Aya paid for her order and slid into one of the booths, setting her things down on the table.
Her order came soon enough and she thanked the waitress and sipped at the drink, feeling a rush of caffeine enter her system. Aya muttered to herself as she leaned back and closed her eyes, letting her thoughts consumer her as she thought about Monte and Serena and Gracie and Danian and Garret and she couldn't help but smile even if the situation wasn't something to smile about.

Midori walked into mud and grinds coffee shop, and went straight towards the counter and order her regular choice an almond coffee. Once the cashier gave her a medium size coffee, she asked if she could have two small bag of sugar. She really loved her caffeine with just the right amount of sugar.
She hated it if it was bitter or overly sweetened . Once she stirred her coffee she took a sip careful not to burn her tongue.
She let out a content sigh, and went to sit down somewhere.
She stared at a girl who looked just around her age and was wearing a teal tank top.
She really wanted to go up and say hi, since she just moved here from Japan, but that would be too awkward for her. So she just kept staring at her hoping that she wouldn’t turn her way and catch her staring.

Aya had been lost in her thoughts when she felt that odd feeling of being watched. It was sending shivers down her spine and she shuddered as she opened her eyes and took a sip of her drink, sneakily glancing around to see if she met anyone's gaze. She was surprised that her eyes met a pretty girl's with chocolate brown hair. She smiled in a friendly manner and waved to the girl before turning back to her drink and taking a long sip, sighing softly at the dark taste of the coffee that was perfectly blended with the creaminess of the milk. "Yum..."

Midori blushed and let out a light gasp, surprise at being caught. She smiled and waved back, but was to late seeing the girl already turn back towards her drink. She follows her actions and took a slow drink of her now warm coffee, loving the taste it produces when it hit her tongue. She let out a soft sigh smiling cheerfully.

Aya was halfway through her drink when her gaze slid to the glass display of treats. She saw a white chocolate pyramid and she knew that it hid a cake inside and she wondered what kind. She hoped it was filled with raspberry mousse like the ones Georgiana made. She stood, grabbed her purse and checked it out. A big grin formed on her mouth when she found out it was the same cake. It was a bit big for her though and she knew that if she brought it home, Georgie would get annoyed. Aya turned back to the girl who she had caught looking at her and she ran a hand through her hair before she made her way to the girl. "Hey, I know we don't know each other but do you like chocolate and raspberries? I want to buy a cake but I think it's too big for me. Would you mind sharing it with me?" She gave Midori a friendly smile and hoped the girl would say yes.

Midori drank the last of her coffee she licked her lips and wiped her mouth of any droplets with the napkin that was given to her. She heard a voice just above her and glance up, she was surprise to see the girl she was staring at just a few minutes ago right in front of her. The girl asked her if she like chocolate with raspberry, true she adored chocolate but she never tasted raspberries. She ginned and nodded deciding to try the treat for the first time. “Sure why not” Midori said happily grabbing her empty coffee cup and threw if in the trash bins.

Aya grinned and was almost tempted to pump her fist in the air if that didn't mean probably scaring her new friend. She ordered the treat and transferred her things to the girl's booth, sitting across from her. She offered a hand to shake and grinned a bit too cheerily. "Hi I'm Ayame; Aya for short." Their order arrived and she took her fork and offered Midori the other one. "Have you ever tried eating this? Not only does it taste good but it's fun to eat." She looked at the chocolate that encased the cake. "You have to hit the chocolate shell to break it because the cake's inside, isn't that great?"

Midori grinned and reached for the girls hand and shook it firmly.
"Hey Aya, my names is Midori, but all my friends call me Mimi"
Once the cake arrive Midori had to contain a squeal of happiness, she just loved sweets and had a love affair with anything chocolate related.
Midori shook her head, "This would be my first time eating it" But she hoped it wouldn’t be her last.
She took her fork and followed Aya's instructions, breaking the shell.
As soon as the treat entered her mouth she had to resist moaning, it was really fantastic.

Aya paused, she waited for Mimi to go ahead and bite into the chocolate raspberry confection. After hearing the girl's moan of pleasure, Aya grinned. She was pleased that the girl enjoyed the treat as she too broke her part of the cake and dug into the soft and creamy raspberry mousse cake inside. It was sweet and creamy and delicious and she found herself closing her eyes as she took the bite. "It's great right?"

Midori nods her head enthusiastically. "Yes, I’ll have to say this would be the best cake I ever had." she would come here again one day to buy the chocolate delicacy. "How did you come by it?" Midori asks, taking another bite from the delectable treat. Though it was quite yummy, she really needed some water to wash it down with. "Do you want anything to drink, because I'm about to go buy something to drink?" She asked Aya.

Aya thought about it, her mouth still full of raspberry cream and vanilla cake. "My cousin Georgiana is an aspiring pastry chef. Before we moved here, my family owned a coffee shop-cafe type thing with another family and she made this type of cake a lot." She sipped at her cold coffee and shook her head. "Nah, maybe later though."
