Brody pushed open the door, his brain buzzing with everything that had happened since the hurricane in MABTown. No matter who he talked to, or even if he just tried to work out what he should do by himself, his conversations kept going in circles. His most recent argument with Danian echoed in his brain, and he scowled as he sat himself at the bar. Flashing his forged ID, he nursed his beer sullenly. He wasn't here to get drunk exactly, just more to block out the voices in his head.
Sighing, he downed it and motioned for another before turning to face the crowds of people dancing. 6 months ago, I was one of them. Nothing in the world to care about, just dancing and having a good time. FUCK

Bemused that Oliver's ID seemed to work on every bouncer and bartender around, I don't even look a thing like him, Nate pocketed the card before asking for a beer. "Molson, bottle."
He took the first sip and glanced around, hoping to run into either Jackie or some equally hot chick who would give him the time of day, since Jackie wasn't interested. He was also counting on Troy to sneak in her and be his wingman, but in the meantime, he was flying solo.
To his left, he was trying to focus on the stunning redhead seated at the bar and clearly intoxicated enough to succumb to him, but just past her, watching the crowd with a sullen expression, was a guy about his age. Heaving a sigh, Nate bypassed the hottie to go chat with his peer. "Wingman bail on you too dude?" he asked

Brody turned at the voice by his side, and chuckled softly. "Not exactly." Taking another gulp of his beer, he looked out at the crowds. "I think I have enough girls on my plate as it is. Any more and I may as well admit myself to a psych ward somewhere."
He laughed more darkly and held out his right hand. "Brody Arthur. I don't generally have a wingman anyhow. I'm more of a...lone wolf I guess." He shrugged lightly. "Yours unreliable huh?"

“Nate Larcombe,” Nate shook the hand Brody offered. “Yeah, my wing man operates on his own schedule most of the time. He’s probably out sniffing around for this chick he met at the mall a few weeks ago,” he sipped his Molson. “Man, I wish I had more girls on my plate. We should all be so lucky. I was trying to mack it to this Jackie girl, but she insists I’m too young for her. Less than a year dude. Can’t seem to find any other girls I’m really trying to make any kind of move on.” He looked over at Brody, “Maybe I’ll start lone-wolfing it myself.”
