Katrina walked into the Fitness Center, looking around the room before heading towards the indoor field. It was usually empty, not a lot of people came in here, and today wasn't any different. There were a few people here and there but not too many. She walked towards the far side of the room where there weren't any people and took her soccer ball out of the duffel bag she had with her, dribbling it with her knees.

Xier had been in the fitness center a few times since his family moved to Riverside. It was an alright place to him, somewhere he could lift weights and run in peace. He walked into the fitness center with the headphones from his mp3 player plugged into his ears; listening to music always got him going. He walked passed the weights and straight for the indoor field. Not many people went in there so he figured he could do some drills without being disturbed. Xier stopped at the entrance when he noticed a girl dribbling a soccer ball with her knees. She was pretty good, but Xier couldn’t help himself so he sprinted to the girl and stole the ball with his foot and began bouncing it on his knees. He flashed her a quick smile then kicked the ball up and caught it. “You’re pretty good.” He said with a smirk.

Kat was paying no attention to her surroundings as she continued to dribble the ball, so it shocked her when she found her ball suddenly kicked away from her by some guy. She narrowed her eyes at him when he complemented her, taking her ball back from him and standing on it with one leg. "Thanks." She muttered, annoyed that she'd been inturrupted. "You didn't have to take my ball to say that though." She added.

Xier nodded in response when she thanked him, even though she sounded a bit annoyed. He threw his hands up defensively when she said the last part “My bad. Thought you wouldn’t mind. Guess I was wrong though.” He said shoving his hands in his pockets. “How long have you been playing soccer?” a huge grin spread across his face as he asked this. He got the feeling she didn’t want to talk to him which only made him want to stay here and chat with her a bit longer. Even if he was the only one doing the talking.

Kat sighed. Why was he still talking to her. "I dunno." She shrugged, looking up at him. "A few years I guess. Soccer isn't the only sport I play." As soon as she said that, she regretted it. That would just open them up for more conversation and she really didn't want to talk. She cursed herself under her breath and shifted her weight on the ball to her other foot. All she really wanted to do was practice, was that so much to ask?
