Cybill glanced around the room, "Yeah, no kidding. How much did you eat in the last three days?" she asked, trying to tease him, but there was an edge to the words. She glided through the room and picked up the dishes and headed toward the kitchen, trying to keep herself busy so she wouldn't say anything she might regret. Once at the sink she ran water over the plates and glanced back over to where he had been standing before. "Sorry, I have to clean or I'm probably going to get mad again." She found a sponge and the dish soap and started to wash the dishes off. She let out a sigh, hoping Mason was still there to listen to her. "I really do want to try. I don't really know how to do this, trust, be in a relationship at all, but I really want to make it work..." Her mind kept trying to explain why she was still here to her inner angry person, but it didn't matter at the moment. Forcing that voice to shut up she licked her lips and turned around. "You're going to have to help me a lot."

Mason cracked a small smile when she teased him about his eating habits. On a normal day, he could eat a lot. But, when he was sad and had no drive to do anything but eat? Yeah, I guess you could say things could get a little messy. "I eat when I'm bored and can't be bothered to do anything else. I spent the last few days in front of the TV. I never knew addicting Storage Wars marathons could become." As Cybill began to pick up the dirty dishes, he followed behind her whilst collecting the clothes strewn around the room, many of those items shirts. Anyone that spent enough time with Mason quickly learned that he preferred to go shirtless. He entered the kitchen a few moments behind her, the pile of clothes in his arms. He was about to go put them in the washer When she spoke again. It made him happy that she willing to at least try with him. "I know." He said simply in reply, "We'll take it slow, snail pace even, if that's what you need."

Cybill shook her head lightly but laughed gently at his words. She shook her head again, "I suppose that's what you've been up to, then? Have you even gone outside? Ridden your bike?" she asked, hoping the answer was yes, but by the way he had been talking earlier, she suspected the answer was no. Letting out a sigh, she raised a brow, though, when she saw the clothes in his hands. "Just shirts? You might as well take that one off too, I know you don't like to be clothed. At least not your top half." She decided to ignore his statement, figuring that it might not work, but she would try to go as slow as possible. Slow wasn't her style, but then again, neither was a relationship.

Mason shrugged. He was a little ashamed to admit that she had gotten to him so badly that he wasn't even to go out and do the thing he loved the most. He barely knew her, and yet she had gotten under his skin without even knowing it. "Pretty much." He said, smiling to cover up the insecurity that began to bubble up into his chest once again. "No, I haven't really been out of the house more than necessary. Not even to ride. My head has kind of been all over the place." He figured that was why he did what he did the night before. His feelings and actions were hard to explain and he was still having a hard time just sorting them out for himself, not to mention anyone else. Mason smirked at the mention of the shirt currently on his back, but shook his head. "Nah, I think I enjoy having both halves unclothed just as much." He joked, chuckling to let her know that he was only kidding. "Sorry." He said, becoming just a little more serious that before, "I think I'll leave this one on, wouldn't want to distract you or anything."

Cybill nodded lightly, "Alright, whatever you prefer." She finished cleaning the plates and placed them in the drying rack before she turned to look at him. Her mind was swimming with visions of the girl that had been here not even thirty minutes before. She blinked her away and then looked at Mason, trying to rid the memory of that girl from her head. "Then I guess we should just go outside then, right?" she asked him. It was her only solution to the awkwardness. He hadn't been out much apparently, and today was beautiful, despite the awkward feelings she was having inside her. "I mean, you never did get to show me your bikes."

When she turned her back to him and began working on the dishes again, Mason fought a sigh from escaping his lips. He opted to leave the room and go throw the clothes in the washer, and hopefully relieve some of the pressure. He didn't want to show his frustration, and more than that, he didn't want her to think that his frustration was directed towards her. His irritation was directed more towards himself, and the situation in general. Once he had everything going to the laundry room a few minutes later, he walked back to the kitchen and stopped in the doorway, leaning against the wall. At the mention of the outdoors, Mason's eyes drifted to the glass back doors. He reached a hand up to scratch the back of his neck, looking at Cybill again. "I guess so." He said finally. He didn't feel like he was worthy of going out there and getting onto a bike, not right now, and it wasn't hard for him to figure out why. He forced a smile onto his face and nodded. "Alright, come on."

Cybill could feel the strain that this day was going to bear. She was going to do it though. She wasn't going to let her inner nature win. Not today. She bit her lip at his forced smile though. "We don't have to if you don't want to..." She wasn't sure why, but it made her sad that he wasn't all for hanging out, but she supposed that made sense. She was forcng herself into it, so she could imagine that he might be forcing himself as well. "I mean, we could always stay inside and watch storage wars. I just thought you might like a change of scenery." Her tongue came out to wet her lips and she sighed again, trying to figure things out in her mind. What all of his movements meant and why they might matter.

Just when he swore that the tension couldn't get any worse, it seemed to do just that. Mason was a generally chill person, he didn't like to yell or fight. He enjoyed just being who he was, doing what he loved and living his life with as little complications as possible. This one complication that whirled into his life changed everything for him. It was that much was different, everything was just seen new eyes, and he knew he couldn't give that up. Pushing of the wall, he began to walk towards the back door, only to pause and let out a frustrated sigh. Mason turned towards her, "I'm not trying to be this way." He said, "I just feel like there is so much riding on today, and I don't want to say or do anything to screw it up." He didn't want her to run, especially not today, because he had a feeling that after what he did that there probably wouldn't be any coming back. He planted a small smile on his face, trying to just push back the pressure of expectations and guilt. "A change of scenery sounds perfect."

Cybill nodded l, understanding she supposed. She wished he would just act the way he had three days ago, but she supposed that wasn't an option right now. All she really wanted to do was try to have a little fun again, remember what had made him so appealing in the first place. Relive it to an extent. She licked her lips. "Well you didn't do anything wrong last time. I screwed up that day. Just act that way..." She knew her suggestion was naive and probably moot, but it was worth a try. She smiled though as he started toward the door and nodded. She followed him, figuring this might actually help, if the bike subject could get the awkwardness to go away, maybe they might get somewhere. "So where does the big motocross man keep his bikes?"

As much as he would like to just rewind, go back to that first day, and maybe do things a little differently, Mason knew that wasn't possible. Things had been done, actions taken, and words had been said. He knew that none of it could be taken back or redone, it happened and they would have to just live with it. I wish I could... His mind spoke rather than his own voice. He really did wish he could be who he was a few day prior, but the honest truth was that he was already different than he was then. Mason gave a small smile, "I'll try. I don't know how well it's going to work though." He said, glancing over his shoulder at her. He let out a small chuckle, shaking his head slightly. "This one has a massive collection," Mason spoke as he opened the door and stepped outside, pointing to a one story structure across the back yard, "right over there. You've got to promise not to judge me, because it's bad."

Cybill rolled her eyes lightly, and shook her head, "Mason, you ride BMX bikes professionally. I'm pretty sure it's normal for you to have a massive collection." She shut up, then though, afraid that she might judge him depending on what she saw in the barn. However, she figured it wouldn't be a negative judgement. A boy on a bike was hot, if he was on a half pipe with that bike, it was even hotter. She licked her lips as she followed him across the back yard, watching him carefully from behind. She couldn't help but check him out and she hated herself for that. She shouldn't be okay enough with him to be doing that, but she was and she wanted him again. She shook the thoughts from her mind, of the shower three days before and the song he had sang to her.

Mason just smiled in response, if he were completely honest, he couldn't deny that her words made him happy. He silently led the way across the backyard, his eyes focused on the ground. He could feel her eyes on him, and he'd be a liar if he said it had no effect on him. With the kind of connection they'd had a few days ago, it was hard for him to just forget. Mason knew it would be impossible to erase those thoughts from his mind, and he didn't want to. The trouble would be not acting on them. With a little shake of his head, he swallowed and pulled a set of keys out of his pocket. After flipping through them, he held up the right key, giving her a small smile before shoving it into the lock. As he opened the door, the scent of rubber assaulted his senses and he took a deep breath. Leaning into the doorway, he flipped a few switches and then the spotless room was bathed in bright white lighting. Mason kept his garage systematically organized, everything had it's own place. His trophy's lined the walls on shelves, his first motorbike was mounted on the left wall, and the glossy floor held no signs of the usage the equipment in the room got. Mason stepped away from the doorway and held out his arm, "Ladies first." He said, his eyes on her.

Cybill let her eyes snap back up to his face when he turned to look at her. She didn't get why her mind wasn't letting her be in control right now, but she'd about had it with that. She looked over at him as he unlocked the door and then turned her attention to the room that had just become as bright as the sun. She shook her head. It was honestly incredible. She wasn't a bike rider, but this was awesome. There were so many and it was so neat. She licked her lips as she stepped inside, her eyes flickering around the room. She was so unable to focus on any one part that she couldn't decide where to look. She shook her head lightly. "Wow. This is... A lot." She didn't know what else to say. Her eyes made their way to the trophies that lined the walls and she raised her eyebrows again, looking back at him with a sly grin. "Have you really won that many times? Or did you just buy those with your award money?"

Mason followed her into the room, letting the door close behind him with an audible click. He stood silently as she scanned the room, leaning against the closed door. He shrugged at her comment, bringing one hand up to rub the back of his head while the other shoved itself into the pocket of his shorts. "I know." He said in reply, a shy smile resting on his face. "It's a little ridiculous." His eyes landed on her when she spoke again, he glanced at the trophy nearest to him and then brought his eyes back to her. "I started doing this when I was four. It's crazy how log I've been doing it. So yeah, Id say I've been pretty successful up to this point." With a grin, he told her a little about his past, hoping to maybe gain back a little trust. "It started out with quads. I grew up in a wooded suburb outside of Seattle, and I used to go out with my dad and my brother and ride. They found out very quickly that I liked to go fast. A few years later was when they started letting me on the track." Mason pushed off the door taking a few steps toward a fridge in the back of the room. "You thirsty?" He asked, turning to look at her.

She listened to him as he spoke of how he started out doing this. She slowly began to walk around the room, looking at the different bikes, some were dirt bikes, some were motorcycles and some were just plain bicycles, well, not plain. She was certain that they were all different and were used for different things, different competitions. She looked up at him with his question and shrugged, "What do you have?" she asked lightly. She wasn't particularly thirsty, but she would drink something if it sounded good. "So... Do all of these bikes have a story?"
