It was the first week of summer, and the last thing Cady wanted was to be away from her year old daughter, Gabrielle. And since it was summer, and the weekend, and since she missed the beach so much, Cady set off with her daughter to check out Amethyst Beach. After pulling into the parking lot, Cady realized then how crowded it was...even for the first week off of school. "Wow..I guess the kids were really anxious to be back at the beach again." Cady mumbled to herself as she gathered the baby bag as well as her own, and then grabbed Gabby to balance on her hip.
Gabby was cooing in her mother's arms the entire way down near the water. When Cady finally found a spot that didn't seem too crowded or too much of a sandstorm from the other kids, she dropped the bags down, got the blanket to spread it as best as she could with one hand, as well as putting the umbrella up and finally set the wiggly baby girl down to babble and crawl around there. She noticed Gabby immediately crawling over to the edge of the blanket to get a feel of the sand, her first expression being laughter as she tossed some in the air. "You like that, huh Gabby?" she cooed to the baby, taking out a few of her toys for her. "Mommy likes it too. Mommy missed going to the beach so much." she sighed, plopping down next to her daughter to rub in some sunscreen on her baby's skin as well as on herself. She took off her shirt then, revealing a new bikini top she's been dying to wear, and sat back in her chair she set up so she could get a tan as well as keep a close eye on Gabby.
