"Micah! Mady! Wake the hell up, I'm not telling you again," Mara yelled into the doorframe of her younger sisters' bedroom. She wasn't in the mood for their oversleeping schedule today and Mitchell wasn't helping one bit. "Mitch, what the fuck are you doing?" Her older brother, nicknamed "Jersey" by his friends for where he was from wasn't in the mood for his sister's shit either.
"You wanna know? I'm filling out job applications to find a better one. I can barely pay rent here, much less to feed all of you. I'm trying to get a management position." He turned back to the computer which was a few years old. They couldn't afford to get a new one and their Internet connection was worse than the computer. He was getting really annoyed and he thought he would probably end up at Bo's house later because this wasn't working. Bo was his best friend and had been for some time, since seventh grade when they moved here. Now with him being 20 and Mitchell himself being 21, they were still pretty tight knit.
"Okay," Mara started, trying to keep her composure. She was only eleven months younger than Mitchell, not even a full year. "I've told you I'll help with the bills, Mitch. I don't know why you won't take the money I offer you." Mitchell shook his head, still staring blankly at the computer screen as it tried to load the spot where his resume should go. He was too stubborn to accept his little sister's help. Either that or he was too proud. Whatever the reason, he was the oldest and he needed to take care of the girls. He promised his father that much.
Mara shook her head angrily and stormed back up to the girls' bedroom. "Alright, that's it," she said as she stripped the blankets of of Micah, her youngest sister. Her brown hair was everywhere and she curled up into a ball to escape the early Saturday morning air. Micah was 14 with a mind of her own. She never did anything people told her, but otherwise she was a nice girl. Medium height with medium length brown hair, she was a very cute girl. "Micah, up. Now." She groaned at her sister and fixed on her face with a glare before she flipped out of bed and stomped to the bathroom. "Well, I guess Madalyne won't be taking the first shower." She went over to her other sister who should be easier to wake. She was 16 and not quite as rebellious. She spend most of her time trying to stop bullying or bring peace to the world. Mara pulled the blankets off of her sister and sighed, "Mady, time to get up. You'll have to share the bathroom with Micah, she already stormed to it," she said lightly. Madalyne stretched, puffing out the Beatles t-shirt that covered her chest. "Can't I just wait til she's done?" Mady asked. The two girls didn't get along, with one supporting peace and one disturbing the peace, it was very hard to find something that they shared common ground on. "You could have if you wouldve gotten up the first time I told you to. But now you have to share. Doesn't that suck?" Mara watched her sister mope to the bathroom and sighed as she herself walked downstairs.
Mitchell was off the computer now and grabbing his backpack. "I'm going to Bo's. I'm tired of dealing with out fuckball Internet connection." Mara sighed, of course he was leaving, she would have to break up the fight that was sure to come when their sisters had to share the mirror. "Mitch, can you please just wait until the girls are ready?" she asked. "I don't wanna have to break up their stupid fight again. Please?"
Mitchell looked at his sister and sighed, seeing the desperation on her face. "Yeah, fine. I'll handle the girls today. You deserve a break." Mara gave him a grateful look and then flopped down on the couch.
