Monte nodded and continued to feed Devyn. He really had no idea if he or Avery had been more inclined to one parent or the other, Avery was the sort to remember those details. He smiled at her and turned his attention back to the baby in his arms who was staring right up at him, her gray eyes reflecting back his own. He swallowed, if Gracie had become pregnant from that one instance they'd been together, no one would be able to tell, he knew Devyn and Harper were Avery's but what if? He glanced up at Gracie, a little embarrassed for even thinking what he'd been thinking. "Have you heard anything for your sister?"

Gracie licked her lips and shook her head, "No, I assume we're still going on her little surprise dinner trip. I should probably text her and make sure it's okay that you come along," she said gently, picking her phone out of her pocket. She sent a quick text to Tally when she heard a whimper from Harper's crib. She sighed and stood up, going over to pick up her baby. She smiled down at her and walked to get the other bottle. "Hey there, baby, you want this?" she asked. She took the bottle right away. She smiled and then looked back up at Monte. "See? She likes me better."

Monte laughed. "Well at least one of them takes to you, you'd have a big problem on your hand if neither of them wanted what you offered." He grinned and pulled the empty bottle away from Devyn's mouth, lifting her to his shoulder to burp her. "If she's not alright with it, it's cool."

Gracie nodded, her eyes wide, "Oh god, that would be hell. Literally, I'm pretty sure." She smiled lightly and looked back down at her baby. She shook her head, "I'm sure it's fine, though. She's not typically picky about who we eat with unless she doesn't like them and she likes you." She licked her lips and looked back up at him, "If not, I'll tell her that you're the only one who can get Devyn to eat." She smiled, she really wanted him to go along for some reason. Probably because it was close enough to Avery to comfort her. Not so much that she would actually do anything, but close still.

Monte laughed. "Well that's good to know." He wouldn't want to eat with someone who hated him either, but he liked Tally too. "I, uh, brought a change of clothes, just in case you need me to stay tonight." He smiled as Devyn burped. "I know they're still waking in the middle of the night to eat right?" He was sure babies stayed on that nightmarish schedule for a little while.

Gracie smiled at him and looked back down at Harper, watching as she suckled on the bottle. She nodded, "Yeah they're still waking. It'd be good if you stayed. I'll have to put sheets on the guest bed," she said, more to herself than to him. She smiled at the small burp that came from her daughter. She sat back down in the chair with Harper in her arms. "Harper is a slower eater, too, though," she said with a sigh. She looked up at him. "It's weird how you can kind of already tell the difference in their personalities."

Monte wondered if Gracie knew what her daughters were going to be like simply based off their eating habits and how they took to her or Avery. "You think Devyn is going to be a tomboy or something because she takes to Avery, or do you think she'll be more girlie and have Avery wrapped around her little finger?" He couldn't tell.

Graclyn shrugged her shoulders at his question, "I don't really know. I feel like most of the time Daddy's girl's tend to be girlish, but she might be a tomboy." She shook her head lightly. "Then again, who really knows? We'll just have to wait and see." Harper finished off her bottle and Gracie changed her position to burp her. She smiled and shook her head, "But they both already have him wrapped around their fingers. He's completely melted." She shook her head lightly again. "It's cute, honestly."

Monte shrugged. "I guess we'll just have to wait and see." He chuckled at the thought that his brother was already wrapped around his infant daughters fingers. "He'd give them anything, he'd give you anything too, I don't blame him either." He glanced down at Devyn. "I'd give you anything and everything if you were mine too."

Gracie glanced up, shocked at his words. She wasn't really expecting him to say anything like that. She decided just to let it go for now, not question it. She bit her lip as Harper let out a light burp. "I know he would, but I don't ask for much. It's going to be a bigger problem with the girls, I think," she said with a light smile. "We might go broke if one of them asks for an island or something." She giggled softly. She shook her head lightly, "We'd be so broke."

He caught the tail end of her shocked look and smiled to himself, making it look like he was smiling at Devyn instead. "You don't know the extent of Avery's trust fund or savings account. Kid's loaded." He tapped Devyn's nose and watched her blink up at him. "Daddy could buy you and your sister an island and still build and furnish a house for you both." He turned Devyn carefully in his hands so she was facing Gracie. "Daddy was a tight wad as a kid mommy, he saved every penny and encouraged grandma and grandpa to put the money into some risky, yet well paying investments. So don't worry about money mommy." He kicked the baby voice and looked up at Gracie.

Gracie smiled lightly and shook her head, looking down at the baby she held in her arms. "No, I know he's loaded. I understand that we have anything we could possibly need and more. It's just... It's weird to me. You know? Not worrying about money. I've never been in a position where I didn't have to worry about money." She licked her lips and looked back up at Monte. "My parents always struggled to keep the bills paid. Mom still does, honestly." She shrugged lightly, "And now I can get almost anything I want and I don't have to worry that it will hurt our finances. I don't have to worry that our girls won't have money for college." She grinned and looked back down. "It's weird..."

Monte nodded, although he really didn't understand how that felt, he never had to worry about his fiances or his parents bills, he'd only been threatened once of having his trust fund cut off, but he knew better than to think that his parents would cut him off completely and even if they did, he knew his siblings would have helped him out. "I bet if you ask Avery, he wouldn't mind helping your mom out or helping you and Tally go to college."

Gracie shook her head, "No, mom wouldn't even dream of accepting help from us. She's one of those that says 'I'm the mother, I provide for you.' She won't have it any other way." She licked her lips, "So I moved out. It should be a little easier now. It's just her and Tally." She sighed again and looked up at Monte, "I told Avery I don't want to go to college. I don't even know what I'm going to do. I'll probably get a job once the girls are old enough for me to be away, but I don't think that I'll actually be contributing much." She shook her head, she wished she knew something that she wanted to do, but it just wasn't happening right now.

Monte shrugged. "Well whatever you decide, you know Avery will always be behind you and willing to help. And if I know my brother he'll be perfectly fine with you not working or if you get a job and you don't bring much in, he wouldn't want you barefoot and pregnant all the time." He grinned, hoping his comments would go over well with her and not annoy her. "What about babysitting?" He asked. "I mean maybe not right now, but when the girls are older you wouldn't have to leave them with someone anyone." He wouldn't blame her if she shunned this occupation, he wouldn't mind watching his own kids or nieces but taking care of kids of strangers, not his forte. "I'm just gonna shut up now."
