Disclaimer: If your child is in this and you don't think that they would act the way that they do, I apologize, but it's just a fanfic, and it's just for fun, its not to say that it will really happen, because honestly, I have no idea how Harper and Devyn will actually turn out. If you have a problem with it, please don't message here, pm me. Thank you for reading, hope you enjoy!

Really? It’s just not fair. Why does everything good happen to Devyn? Everyone likes her, Behnson, Julian, even Kyle and Conner. I mean, it’s one thing for one twin to like you, but to have both of them like you? It’s just not fair! What’s wrong with me? Why don’t they like me too? The other day we were sitting at lunch with Julian and he leaned over to her and asked if he could walk her to class, but she turned him down because Kyle was going to. Then he turned and asked me. I mean, I said yes, I couldn’t decline him, Julian’s cute, but really? I came in second to my twin sister. I must be like Uncle Monte.
She put her journal down and walked out of her bedroom. It was early and Devyn was still in the shower, Harper had woken up about an hour earlier than her younger sister, only by a few minutes, mind you, and had taken a shower long before. She was jealous of her sister, but she loved her dearly, it was just hard to understand why it was the way it was. She walked into the kitchen to find her mother cooking breakfast and her father setting the table. Avery glanced up and smiled, “Hey there, Harp, would you mind grabbing some forks for me?” She smiled, nodding at him. She walked to the silverware drawer and pulled out four forks for her family and helped her father finish setting the table. “Thanks, babe,” he said, moving to kiss his daughter gently on the forehead before he walked over to his wife and wrapped his arms around her, “Breakfast smells good Gracie Girl,” he said, kissing her cheek. She turned to kiss him and she held him there for a minute extra. Harper just happened to glance up at the right time and made a face, “Ew! Would you guys stop it?! You’re gonna contaminate our breakfast! Ugh, and now I’m not hungry anymore!” The couple laughed and Gracie shook her head, “I think you’ll manage, Harper. At least your dad’s here and not off flying a jet—” Harper cut her off, “Yeah, yeah, I know, not off flying a jet over the pacific ocean or keeping peace in a fighter jet where he could get killed. I’ve heard it before mom.”
Devyn walked in with her hair wet and sat down at the table, “What’s for breakfast, Mamma Bear?” she asked happily. Harper looked at her and sighed. Her hair was wet, and she was going to let it air dry, but it would still look cute. She never understood how that happened, why did Devyn’s hair look good when she didn’t do anything, but her own looked horrible all the time? She sighed and sat down at the opposite side that her sister had. Soon the rest of the family was seated and ready for breakfast. “Any tests today girls?” Gracie asked. “Just one for me,” Harper said. “Geology, but I’m studied and ready to go.” Devyn just shook her head; she was stuffing her face with eggs and what looked to be a mutilated pancake. This was another thing that confused Harper. How could Devyn eat like a pig, but still get guys to like her?
Soon enough, breakfast was over and the girls were headed out to the bus, “Girls!” Gracie called after them. “Don’t forget, it’s Gage’s birthday party tonight! You need to be home at five to get ready!” They’d been going to Gage Smith’s birthday parties since before they could remember. He was their Aunt Tally’s nephew and their dad used to be best friends with his other aunt, Sara, something along those lines. All they knew was that they had to go. They dreaded it every year. Sure, Gage was really cute, but he was an odd character and he wasn’t very friendly toward them.
Once on the bus, Harper saw Julian and her heart skipped a beat. He didn’t usually ride in the mornings, but she was glad he was on. He smiled when he saw them enter the bus, and Harper could’ve sworn he was smiling at her, but then he spoke, “Hey Devyn, sit with me?” he asked. She smiled and walked straight back to his seat, sitting next to him. Harper was so shocked that she slid into the first seat available, and of course, who was sitting there? It had to be him, didn’t it? Gage Smith.
