"we were gambling illegally and he got some money and bought it." Aeron lied fluidly, even though the lie itself seemed far fetched. Casinos were pretty good at looking at ID, and there was never a good chance to win enough money to buy a ring like that. He thought about his own ring, biting his lip as he concentrated hard on something that seemed to be out the window.

"Hm." Alex simply put, gripping her hands on the steering wheel tighter now. Loreto just simply nodded in agreement, hoping they would at least change to a different subject. "I just hope you didn't get drunk or do anything stupid like that..." Loreto felt a lump in his throat start to grow suddenly. "Not that gambling illegally isn't stupid enough. That wasn't your idea to do that, was it, Loreto?" she asked him, though the question seemed to be more towards Aeron as she glanced at him through her rearview mirror, figuring he would be the one to do most of the gambling rather than her 'innocent' little brother she thought she knew so well.

"I convinced him of all of it." Aeron replied numbly, not seeming to care that he was going to be blamed for all of it. "In order to get him to go along with it, I got him to drink a bit, but he was against it allll the way." Aeron drawled. He didn't remember the trip taking so long. When would they get to the residential area so she could ask him where he lived, and that would be their only conversation? He let out a small sigh, knowing he wasn't helping Loreto convinced his favorite sibling he was a good guy.

Although Alex's facial expression hadn't changed, she kept her eyes on the rode, not even looking at Loreto for the moment being. Her hands kept on the steering wheel with a tight grasp still, with her lips pursed together in a frown. "Por supuesto que fue culpa de la ducha es.(Of course it was the douche's fault.)" Alex managed to mumble under her breath. Loreto was able to hear just enough of what she said though, and understand what she said as well. He looked at her, his brows furrowed, and his eyes looking as though they were begging her not to start anything. Not now anyway. Alex shook her head frustratedly, and sighed, keeping quiet through the rest of the ride.
Once they got closer to the neighborhood houses then, Alex was the next to break the silence, her cat-like eyes glancing back at Aeron through the mirror again. "Where's your house?" she asked flatly.

"It's on Coldwater drive." Aeron replied, equally as flatly. He looked out the window, not even sure if she knew how to get there. He heard her mutter something, but just rolled his eyes. If she wanted to play cold, he could do it right back.

"Good." she muttered to herself again, glad that they were just at the entrance of the street. Much more that they didn't live on the same street either. Though something did pop in her head though, and her eyes gazed back to Aeron once more. "You didn't tell me the address." her eyes narrowed just slightly at him. "Which house is it?" she asked again, her tone sounding more irritated and impatient than before.

"It's that one," Aeron said, pointing past the front seats so she could see where he was pointing and his finger leading to a house just off the corner after a stop sign. He leaned back in his seat, clutching onto his backpack, his legs crossed.

As Aeron pointed out the house, Alex tried her hardest to resist the temptation of breaking his finger off that happened to be less than two inches away from her face. "Fine." she said, making a sharp turn into the driveway purposely, leaving a skid mark behind from it being so sudden. Loreto felt a bit shaken by that turn alright, he even glanced at Alex with a worried, or more scared look. Alex ignored him, and had already unlocked the doors when she said, "Out." just as simple as that.

"I'll talk to you later, Loreto." Aeron replied simply, not having the energy to fight the girl driving. He hopped out of the car, shutting the car door a little harder than he had to. "Thanks for the ride." He said with smile, turning away and adding a "bitch" as he headed towards his home.

"Bye." Loreto managed to say, though the lump in his throat was still there plenty, making his tone softer than usual. Alex simply rolled her eyes at Aeron's small thank you he gave, not hearing the last part he added in while Loreto did. He didn't say anything, for he didn't want any kind of fight to start up now or anytime soon. He just slumped down lower in his seat and urged Alex to drive away. Which she did, just after she muttered, "duchas de mierda.(Fucking deuche)" under her breath, barely even audible to hear. "Loreto..." she finally said in her normal flat tone, "I gotta talk to you when we get home." Loreto didn't even say anything to that, he already knew he was in trouble, much less he didn't even know what to tell Toni. This was one conversation, he was not looking forward to.
