It was a nice day outside, and Athena thought it would be the perfect day to go around the neighborhood and explore a little. And, maybe make a friend or two. She was used to moving places, a lot. Her family usually would go to one place to another because of her mom's job. They started off in California, before moving to New York. And now, Athena found herself in Riverside. She wondered if her siblings were done with their unpacking. Of course, she had finished unpacking (most) of the boxes, and already had put some posters on her bedroom walls. She had quickly dressed in a striped top with skinny jeans before heading out. She closed her eyes as she continued to walk, enjoying the fresh air and the sun on her face. She didn't even notice that she was walking right into someone. And worst, she tripped and fell, knocking that person down. "Eeek!" she squealed, before realizing what happened. AJ blushed with embarrassment, "S-sorry! I didn't mean to walk into you, I wasn't watching were I was going." Standing up almost immediately, she held out her hand to help him up. "I apologize for my clumsiness! I wasn't realy looking were I was going, sorry." she said, again and again. Was he okay? That was just great, now wasn't it? she scolded herself. Don't walk with your eyes closed, idiot! Looking away, she finally asked, "Are you okay? I didn't hurt you, did I? I'm sorry."

BaoChen enjoyed the nice day, and the fact he actually finished his homework for once. He was walking along in the park, listening to some audio files his uncle had given to him to practice his rhythm skills. Suddenly, he felt a bump and found himself on the ground. He pulled out his head phones and turned off his iPod with one hand while offering the other one to help her up. "Yeah, I'm fine, are you okay?" he asked her, putting his iPod in his pocket.

Blinking, Athena Ellis found herself surprised when he didn't yell at her. Maybe she was just used to being scolded for her clumsiness. "Y-yeah, I'm okay." AJ nodded, "Sorry about that." Biting her lip lightly, he took his hand and stood up, "Thank you." Holding out her hand, Athena smiled slightly. "Er... Well, I'm Athena. You can call me AJ, if you want, though." she introduced herself to him. "Uh... Nice to meet you...?" Her voice sounded more like a question. AJ was always awkward when it came to introductions.

BaoChen smiled. "Name's BaoChen." He told her, shaking her hand. "Everyone justs calls me Bao these days, though." He added. Furrowing his eyebrows, he seemed to study her face. "Are you new here?" he asked, not in any way menacing after how hard he was staring. "I don't recall seeing you in school... How old are you?"
((omg, I'm sorry about the spelling mistakes in the last post. @.@ I got an iPad and I'm still getting used to it... =.=; ))

"That's a nice name..." AJ said. It certainly wasn't a name she heard every day. She nodded at his question. "Yeah. I actually just arrived here yesterday." Athena smiled lightly, "It was nighttime by the time I got here, so I wasn't really able to go around town..." This was actually her first day out. She blinked when she noticed he was staring, moving away two steps. "Er... I'm fifteen. Uh, why?"
that's okay. (: it's hard to type on those things.

"Oh, that's why I haven't seen you around school..." He said, hoping it would explain his reason for staring. "Actually, my family moved here just under a ear ago, so I know it can be hard being the new kid..." He added. Shoving his hands in his pockets, he let out a small sigh. "Actually, we've been moving a lot lately, and I'm no where near done moving." he pointed to himself, happy to finally have someone to brag to other than his siblings and cousins. "I got a record deal in Japan, so after I graduate, Ill be moving there."

Athena nodded, "I've been moving a lot around, too. We were first in New York City, but we moved to California afterward, and now to Riverside." It was hard being the new kid, mainly because you didn't know anybody at all. Still, AJ still thought it was somewhat fun being able to start all over again. When he mentioned that he got a record deal in Japan, her eyes widened. "Really? That's so cool!" she smiled brightly. "I've always wanted to go to Japan before." AJ told him with a light giggle.

BaoChen got more excited as she mentioned California. "Really? My mom is from California, my family lived there until I was about twelve, or something." He explained. He nodded, "Actually, I haven't been there yet." he began, "I was posting some songs I wrote on YouTube and they came to me with a record deal. My uncle was in the entertainment industry, so he's kind of playing my music trainer right now." He told her. Letting out a small sigh, he finished, "Mom convinced them to let me finish high school here, but I can decide to go to Japan for college or study here."

"My sister decided it was time to move cause of some trouble my brother got into, though it wasn't really his fault." Athena told him. And her sister had also gotten into some trouble herself, as she got cheated on my her ex-boyfriend. "Ooo, I'll be sure to check you out on Youtube, then." she giggled, with a bright smile. "Have you decided yet? About if you're going to go to college here or in Japan, I mean."

BaoChen thought about it a bit before answering. "I'm not exactly sure yet. It seems like it'd be fun to study in Japan, but I don't speak any Japanese, so I'm kind of apprehensive about studying there and living there alone. I mean, my uncle can teach me, but he as his own family, you know?" He explained, feeling like he was rambling.

Athena nodded., understanding what he meant. "Yeah. I know what you mean," she said, with a childish smile. "Yeah, but it would be pretty cool. I mean, speaking another language. I can only speak English, and a little French...but that's it." she smiled lightly. Her sister, Annie, was learning how to speak French and also Chinese, along with Spanish. Athena found it hard to speak two languages, it confused her, somehow. Looking back at BaoChen, she smiled lightly.

BaoChen nodded, understanding completely. "Actually, a lot of my siblings are adopted, so most of them are bilingual." He explained. "Come to think of it, I think I'm the only one in my family not at least comfortable in another language." He brought his arms behind his head, intertwining them and resting them on the back of his head, "Though mom would probably prefer I learned Chinese, I think she'd understand if I started with Japanese." He said, returning her smile with his own, bright smile.

"You must have a lot of siblings. I only have two siblings, Annie and PJ. But only Annie is adopted, even though she looks a lot like my brother." Athena stopped talking, looking back at BaoChen. "Does your mom speak Chinese?" she asked him, walking as she spoke. When BaoChen smiled brightly at her, she giggled lightly. "Your smile is very nice." she said happily, without thinking, and beamed a brighter smile, continuing to walk.

BaoChen shrugged, "She's comfortable in Chinese, I guess..." He replied simply. "But my dad was Chinese, and two of my sisters know Chinese fluently." He explained. With her compliment, he couldn't help but smile wider, "Thanks." He replied simply. "Yours too."

"Oh..." Athena said, understanding why BaoChen's mother prefered if he learned Chinese. When he returned the compliment, she smiled and blushed lightly. "Really?" she asked, not really believing that he was telling the truth. "A lot of people say that I smile too much that it's already annoying." she bit her lip lightly. "But I always thought that smiling was a good thing... Even when I'm upset, I smile, because I thought it would brighten other people's day... No matter how terrible that I feel, I know that somebody probably has it worse...and that I shouldn't complain when I know that I have it better than other people..." she looked back at Baochen, before realizing how much she had said and blushing deeply. "S-sorry." she murmured, embarrasssed. "I talk too much."
