DISCLAIMER: This story is just for fun and may or may not actually happen in the events to come in the future for Cybill and Mason.

“God, Damn it, Mason! I don’t think you understand!” Cybill yelled through her cell phone. “We’re having a baby! You don’t have time for one more event!!” She listened to the receiver for a few minutes before starting to speak again, probably cutting him off. “Yeah, well if you want to be able to see your daughter ever, then I suggest you get your ass to this hospital before she’s born!” She let out a loud groan as a contraction forced it’s way through her body. “Damn, it, Mason! I don’t care if he won’t let you leave! I’m not having this baby alone!” She hung up the phone and crossed her arms angrily over her chest.

Bo sighed lightly at his younger sister. “A bit harsh don’t you think, Cyb?” he asked.
“No. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and he decides that it’s okay to go to this tournament? I’ll tell you what, if he doesn’t shape his ass up…”
“Cybill, it’s his job. He’s tyring to provide—“ he was cut off by his sister.
“He’s trying to be a big shot!”
“He is a big shot, Cybill! He’s number two in the nation right now. That’s not trying. You need to give him a little slack on this one.”
“Yeah, well he’s starting out a shitty father.”
Bo let out a sigh. He wasn’t going to get through to her. He couldn’t do it normally, there was no way he would be able to in her current state.

The hostpital was eerily empty when they arrived. Bo helped his sister out of the car and into a wheelchair that a nurse had brought out. Once they were in the building, Cybill was whisked away and Bo was left to do the paperwork. Since Mason wasn’t here, it fell into his hands. He filled it out to the best of his knowledge and his mother finished it off when she and the rest of their family got to the hospital. He gave it to the woman at the front desk. “You know you can go back there, honey. The father is on her approved list.” Bo smiled at the woman and raised his palm to face her, “Thanks, but I’m actually her brother. Father is working on getting here.”

Cybill huffed, crossing her arms. “One more event… One more and he was on his way. Andy won’t let him leave… He’d better make some damn good money.” She was talking to herself, but she was just letting off steam. Her pregnancy had made her very easily agitated and today was not an exception. She moved her hands to her stomach as another hard contraction came through. She let out a small wimper when it was over, completely beat already and she wasn’t even to the hard part yet.

A call came through on Cybill’s cell and Bo looked at the screen. Mason. He answered hurriedly. “Mason, Cybill won’t let anyone back there to help her and they told us that she’s dilating really quickly. She won’t let anyone in but you.” The voice on the other end wasn’t Mason’s, though.
“Sorry, not Mason.”
“What? Who is this?” Bo asked, extremely confused.
“Andy, Mason’s Manager. He always told us to contact Cybill in case of an accident. I didn’t know she was in labor…”
“What?” Bo asked.
“He wrecked. Damn it. I wouldn’t let him leave without running this last big even. I’m sorry.”
“Tell that to my sister, asshole. Where’s Mason, is he okay?”
“Well, no, he blacked out. They took him in the ambulance to the hospital.”
“God damn it.” He hung up the phone and shot from his chair.
His mother looked up. “Bo?”
He didn’t look back, he had to get to his sister.

“Oh fuck!” Cybill screamed at another contraction. “Give me something to stop this pain!” she hollered.
The nurse shook her head, “We can’t you progressed too quickly. We can’t do an epidural this late…”
“Oooohhhh Shiiiiiit!” she screamed, another contraction forcing the baby out of a hole that it was way to big for. Her doctor appeared and checked her out. He smiled. Are you ready to push?”

A terrified expression took over her face. She wasn’t ready. She didn’t want to do it alone. Where the hell was Mason? “No, I’m not ready to push. Mason isn’t here. I can’t… I can’t do it!” terror filling her words and seeping into the room.
“Cybill!” came a holler from the hall.
“Sir, you can’t go in there!”
Bo burst through the door.
“Bo?!” Cybill questioned. “Where is Mason?”
“He won’t be here,” Bo said. He picked up her hand and held it tight. Let me help you.”
“What do you mean he won’t be here?”
“He just won’t.”
“We have to do this on the next contraction,” the doctor said.
“No! Tell me!” Cybill hollered.
“He got into an accident in his last event,” Bo said, regretting he’d told her as soon as it came out of his mouth.

Cybill went almost white, staring at her brother blankly. As another contraction hit, the doctor instructed her to push. She did. Tears rolling down her cheeks, she pushed. With every scream there came more tears. Some were there from the pain, but most of them stemmed directly from her worry about Mason. The next push finished the job and the baby girl started crying. “Bo, is he okay?” she asked as her head fell back against the pillow.
“He blacked out. That’s all I know.”

Bo bit his lip. He had seen the report on Mason’s wreck on the ESPN website. It didn’t look good and he wasn’t sure if he should tell his sister that it was up or just leave her to sleep. He’d decided on the latter of the two. Best to just let her sleep while she was able to without worry. The baby was currently being passed around and adored.

Bo looked up at his mother who was currently the one with the little girl in her arms. “I’ve got the clip of Mason’s accident,” he said lightly. His mom shook her head. “You had better shut it off. I don’t think it would be wise to let your sister see that—“

“See what?” she asked lightly as she woke from her sleep. Everyone in the room looked at her cautiously. “You might as well just tell me. I’m not going to let it go now.”
Bo sighed, “It’s Mason’s wreck.” He looked up at her in the bed. “The footage is online. They had a huge report on it written immediately after.”
Cybill furrowed her brow. “Did I get any more calls from Andy? Has he updated anyone yet?” Negative answers from everyone. “Well has anyone called? His mom?” More heads shaking. She sighed lightly. “How am I supposed to find anything out? I need to see him… I can’t stand it anymore.” She moved to the side and lifted herself up.
“Cybill, you shouldn’t walk…” her mother said.
“Then someone get me a damn wheel chair. I want to see him. I want him to see his daughter.”
“Cybill…”
“Seriously, mom, if you say one more thing, I will kick you out. I have the power to do that too, ask any nurse in here. Someone get me a fucking wheelchair.”
Bo did as she’d asked and he wheeled her out of her room and to the desk. He sighed lightly. “Excuse me, ma’am. Can you possible look someone up for me? His name is Mason Everdeen. He’s the father of Cybill’s baby and he’s been in a motorcycle accident. He’s supposed to be at this hospital and we haven’t gotten any updates after his manager called for the first time.”
The woman looked at them skeptically. “I don’t think you’re supposed to leave the delivery wing, Miss Grey.”
Cybill’s eyes were completely full of tears and she looked up at the nurse. “I understand that, ma’am, but it’s an emergency. I want to know that I’m not going to be raising this baby alone.”

The woman nodded lightly at her and looked up the information that they had asked her about.  "Looks like he's currently in the ICU.  Only immediate family will be allowed in."  Cybill's eyes filled with tears, a few seeping from her eyes.  "I don't.  I mean, I live with him.  I just gave birth to his child.  We've been together since we were seventeen.  If that doesn't count as immediate family..."  The woman shook her head.  "Just go, Miss Grey.  We'll fix it," she said.

Doing as she was told, not that she would have listened if they said no, she went to the ICU with her brother, understanding that he probably wouldn't be allowed to push her into the room.  Once they were there she asked a nurse to wheel her into Mason's room.  She hadn't thought about his mother.  The older woman turned around, "You had the baby?"  Cybill blushed lightly before nodding.  "Yeah.  I kind of assumed that Mason would call you on his way.  Then when Bo told me about the wreck... I just blanked."  She looked from her boyfriend's mother to her boyfriend.  Her lips quivered.  She couldn't process what was happening.  This wasn't how it was supposed to be.  He was supposed to be happy, safe.  Holding their little girl in the Delivery Wing, not recovering in the ICU.  She stood from her chair with much effort and looked down at him.  She started to cry.  Heavy tears fell from her eyes.  She began to talk to him, not caring that his mother was in the room, although, maybe she should have.  "I named her Lillie.  I know that wasn't the name we talked about, but you have to see her.  Lillie Maysen Everdeen.  I used your name for her middle name.  Spelled more girly of course, but...  I just wanted you to be an important part of her life, even if..." she let out a huge sob.  "God, damn it, Mason, you have to get better, okay?  She needs you. I'm not good enough.  She needs us both."  She let her hand grab his and squeeze.  "I need you too."  She took a deep breath and swallowed the lump in her chest.  For some reason she was able to stand there for a long time.  Just holding his hand.  Her legs didn't give out, even after what her body had already gone through that day.
