"I see...Annie hasn't really talked to me about her family before. She only mentioned kids were less than kind to her in school." Ron smiled a bit, turning his attention towards the monkeys. "I've never told her this, but I understand all too well what it feels like to be teased and bullied. I understand her not wanting to talk about it now. I just hope one day she can trust me enough to tell me." He kept his gaze on the monkeys as he asked, "So how exactly are you related to Annie again?"

Kaleb shook his head. "They weren't very kind, but I can see how she still shields them and says it was school kids. She was never one to blame others, even if they were in the wrong." He shrugged. Nodding, he didn't answer Ron's statement about being bullied. He was sure that everyone had probably had their share. "That has been a debate for a while now. It's a bit confusing. Annie and her siblings claim Caris as their guardian, though Caris is barely older than they are. Caris is my mother's very younger sister and their parents had adopted three or four children already from a trip to Japan. The story goes that Caris watched over the small ones since she was the oldest child at the moment and since they grew up, she's claimed legal rights and started adopting, mostly teenagers. So I could be their cousins, or their nephew. Depending on who you ask." Kaleb looked at him, wondering if he'd followed along at all. It was a confusing but entertaining story to tell people outside of the family.
(omgeez just realized I've been saying Romishi instead of Romatan for her older brother xD Romatan's nickname is Romi, so I suppose I got confused xD sorry!)

Ron nodded, trying to make sense of everything he was being told, even if most of it was flying over his head. He's just have to make sure to ask Annie about it later, when he had more time to sit down and actually make sense of everything. "I see." He folded his hands behind his back, looking away from the monkeys at the other animals around. "That is rather confusing, I'll admit."

Kaleb nodded. "That's how our family likes it." He said, no humor behind his words as he set Akito down to run for the next animal he found. "Stay within site Akito." Kaleb called out, trying to sound stern. The boy just giggled, only nodding as he ran from bar to bar. Kaleb sat, sighing. He watched as the little kid ran around, holding back a groan as he realized he'd be seeing two more little heads bobbing around soon.

Ron didn't say anything as he watched Akito run around the zoo. That would be him pretty soon, a little boy to run after. He still wasn't sure about how he felt towards that. One the one hand he was a bit excited, but on the other, he didn't know the first thing about raising a child. And, speaking of babies, Ron stuck his hand in his pocket, touching his phone lightly. The baby shower must be going well since he hadn't received a text from Annie yet. He wasn't too worried though, after all she was in good hands.

Kaleb watched Akito for a little while longer until his phone started buzzing in his pocket. He quickly took it out, thinking it may be a business call. He suppressed a sigh when he saw it was just Hanna; she was probably checking up on Akito. "Yes?" He asked, his voice indifferent. "Alright, rule one. don't get panicky. Rule two, don't like Ron hear, he'll be getting a call soon." Kaleb looked confused, but he agreed. Hanna always came up with rules before getting to her point. "Alright..." Hanna said, pausing. "What is it?" Kaleb pushed, not even glancing at Ron. "Annie's fallen. She was standing, reaching for a present at the top of the pile" she spoke with a bit of acid and Kaleb could tell she was probably glaring at Ferno and Anna for the over whelming gifts- "because she refused to let us get it for her and you know how short she is and stubborn and-" "To the point, Hanna." Kaleb said sternly. Hanna seemed to hesitate, either with continuing or planning on arguing. But she finally continued. "Quisha dropped her drink by accident, the glass shattered. Annie got startled and turned around too fast and fell...she managed to turn herself before hitting her stomach, but it was a pretty bad fall and she's freaked herself out to the point where she blacked out. We're all headed to the hospital, you need to bring Ron now." Kaleb sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Are you sure that's for the best?" He asked, not wanting a panic attack from Ron on the way there with Akito. "He's the damned father Kaleb!" She yelled into the phone and Kaleb finally glanced over at Ron, wondering if he heard it. "Yes it's for the best! If something's wrong, he needs to be there, not wait to hear later!" "Alright, alright, alright, see you soon." He hung up quickly, calling Akito over. "We need to leave. You should be getting a call sooner or later. Hopfully sooner." He grumbled, walking towards the exit while Akito whined in Japanese that he didn't want to leave.
