InTae scrunched up his face, "Oh, no, me either. I mean real vampires and werewolves." He told her with a chuckle. At her mention of liking mermaids, he thought for a moment, "Maybe a story of a mermaid that... well, I don't know really..." He admitted with a laugh.

"Ha, ha~ Well, that's good. My sister would have to shun you if you did like crap like that." she snickered, rolling her eyes upward thinking of a mermaid story, then. "Hm...how about a mermaid that falls in love with a prince? Oh, wait...they already made one like that." she giggled, hinting at The Little Mermaid, book and disney movie. "My sister and I both agree that we love the Grimm's version of The Little Mermaid better. It's creepy...and I love the Disney movie, but...I like it dark too." she giggled.

InTae raised an eyebrow, looking at her interested. "The Grimm version? I've only heard they were more greusome, but I've never actually heard the little mermaid tale of it. What is that version?" He asked her curiously. "It seems like an interesting tale."

"You haven't? Oh, its awesome. Actually..." she turned away momentarily to look through her bag for something. She pulled out a small book of Grimm Fairy Tales. "I feel like it'd give me ideas for a story of my own, so I carry the book with me." she explained, holding out the book for InTae to get a closer look at. "It pretty much has all of their stories in there. It's great."

"Oh wow..." InTae replied as he took the book from her and flipped through it. "It seems really interesting..." He began, then an idea struck him. If he could convince her to let him borrow the book, she'd have to see him again. It was brilliant. Assuming it worked. He looked up at her, "Can I borrow it for a couple days?" He asked her curiously.

"It is..." Cady agreed, smiling wider as he seemed to be more interested in it now. Though she wasn't exactly expecting him to ask her to borrow it. "Oh... um, sure. When would you be able to return it?" she asked just as curiously, biting her lip.

InTae smiled, glad his plan had worked. "Whenever. I've learned to be a pretty quick reader, so even if you want to meet for dinner or something tomorrow..." He began, letting his words fade out as his speech began to quicken it's pace. "Or just... I can give you my phone number..." He added in more quietly, more shy.

"Dinner?" she repeated in question, even more surprised now. "Um..how about we exchange phone numbers and we'll go from there." she suggested, pulling out her phone from her bag. It wasn't that she didn't want to see him again. He seemed like a good guy to be around. Cady's just learned not to get too attached to people right away, and to be more careful before deciding to go out to dinner the next night with the complete stranger. She's still surprised she's even giving him her number as well as letting him borrow her favorite book.

"Fair enough." InTae replied simply, gently taking the phone from her and inputting his number. He smiled, then gave an awkward laugh, "I'm sorry... This must be really awkward..." He muttered, lowering his eyes. "I keep trying to do lame pick up lines and you're just... ah, 미치겠다 (I'm going crazy)..." He muttered. He took a deep breath and sat up straight. "Once I return this book to you, will you come to dinner with me as a friend?" He asked her, emphasizing the "friend" part so as not to try to scare her off. He laughed lightly, "Actually, you're giving me a chance to read a book I've always wanted to read, but never knew where to find it. So you've made me really happy now."

Cady typed in her number into InTae's phone as well when she was able to do so, and smiled up at him when she finished. She handed him back his phone and retrieved hers back, dropping it back in her bag. "Oh, no..its fine. I mean, its not like you're the only guy to drop pick-up lines on me like that..." she giggled softly, looking down at the book she handed to him then back up to meet his eyes again. "But sure. I wouldn't mind a nice dinner with a nice guy like you." At least I hope you're a nice guy....and not just playing up to me... "I'm almost positive you'll enjoy that book though. Like I said, its one of my favorites. In that case, you better take good care of it. No torn pages or food stains when you return it back, you hear?" she told him, only partly teasing at the last part.

InTae's eyes widened, "Oh no, never. My friend is a library page; he lectures me if I don't open the book the right way." He said with a laugh, referring to a friend of his back in Korea. He bit his lip at the mention she was often picked up on by guys. "Well then, that makes it even more awkward in my case." He looked at her wide-eyed again, as if trying to get a point across. "I'm not shallow, I swear." He told her with a playful laugh.

Cady giggled a little louder. "Well, thats good then. Just be sure to take good care of my book. No bending the binding or anything. My d-uh, sister likes to read it too." she added in, flinching a bit as she almost spilled about her having a daughter. She wasn't sure she wanted him to know that much about her just yet... "Oh, I don't believe you're shallow. I mean, not now anyway. You seem like a really nice guy. Look forward to seeing you again too. But um..I think I should probably get going soon anyway. Gotta check on my..sister, make sure she didn't burn down the apartment already or something." she chuckled, catching herself from saying the word Daughter again.

"I will, I will." InTae promised her, proving his point by carefully placing the book safely in an inside pocket in his jacket, it fitting just perfectly in the pocket. He patted the book carefully as he looked back to her, "safe and sound." He told her with a grin. He looked at his phone, it still being on the table, and checked the time. "Oh, yeah. Understandable. It's getting a bit late anyway." His said with eyes wide, not realizing it was getting dark outside already.

Cady smiled simply, watching how careful he was with her book. She could tell he was definitely trusted with something important, even if it was a book. She just enjoyed teasing him was all. "So...I'll see you around then? Maybe, in a week or something?" she asked, hoping he would agree.

InTae smiled coolly, "A week sounds good." He agreed. He looked to his phone, still not put away, and then looked back to Cady, holding up his phone slightly. "I can call you or something if I finish sooner and we can make plans to meet, okay?" He suggested.
