Since David had been so busy with his music and the band lately, he hadn't had much time to spend with Brooklyn lately. And he felt terrible about it. So, he planned on spending the entire day with his little girl, just the two of them. They started at the zoo. It was someplace new, for the both of them. Brooklyn seemed excited anyways, although that could just be because she was glad to have her daddy all to herself again. About two hours and a hot dog later, Brooklyn brought up something that David wasn't completely expecting. "Daddy, can Ari come here, too?" she asked him in her sweetest tone of voice. "Sure, Brook. Um, I'm not sure if Max is out of class yet, but I can see if Auntie Naomi can bring her." Brooklyn squealed for joy as she clapped her hands together excitedly. David pulled out his phone and texted a quick message to Naomi: Hey, nai. Was just wondering if u wouldnt mind coming down to the zoo with ari. Brooklyn wants to see her cousin and i dont think it would hurt for us to hang out either.

Naomi finally got Matthew settled down in his crib, and Arielle was playing quietly on the floor with her toy giraffe when her phone began to buzz in the other room. She stepped away from the crib, glancing over at Ari before leaving the room to grab her phone. When she noticed it was a text from David, she automatically became worried, considering her brother-in-law never texted her. She quickly read over the text, smiling a bit when she saw it was just an invitation to go to the zoo. Walking back into the nursery Naomi squatted down next to Ari. "Hey babygirl. Wanna go to the zoo with Uncle David and Brooklyn?" "Bwooky~" Arielle giggled at the sound of her older cousins name, nodding excitedly. "Yah!" Naomi smiled, picking the now bouncy Arielle up into her arms to get her dressed. Soon after they were all dressed, Matthew placed in his car seat and Arielle in her's and on their way to the zoo. Once they arrived there Naomi pulled Matthew out first, getting him settled in the stroller before pulling Arielle out next and letting her walk beside her while holding her hand. Arielle was the first to spot her cousin, calling out her name excitedly and pulling on Naomi's hand.

David hadn't received any sort of response from Naomi, but just in case, he led Brooklyn back towards the entrance just in case Naomi was on her way. They sat and waited on one of the benches patiently. Well, David was anyway. Brooklyn was still bouncing and spinning around on her toes waiting for her favorite cousin to arrive.
Soon enough then, Brooklyn suddenly heard a familiar squeal calling out her name. She turned on her heals, spotting Arielle trying to run faster with her mother still holding onto her hand. "Ari!" she called out in return, running ahead to jump on her little cousin in a hug. David chuckled, finally getting up from his seat to greet Naomi in a friendly hug. "Hey, Nai. Good to see you again." he grinned, before getting a quick glance at the baby in the stroller. "Oh my god. And this can't be Matthew can it?" he knelt down to get a better look at his new baby nephew. "Hey little dude. Haven't seen you in a while, have I?" he chuckled, stroking the little baby's hand before he moved his hand so that he was gripping David's finger. "Oh-ho! Strong grip you got there for a little guy." he laughed, glancing back up at Naomi with another smile then. "I see you've been busy with the kids, then."

"Bwooky~" Arielle giggled, hugging her cousin back. Naomi smiled, hugging David back. She grinned at his acknowledgment of Matthew, nodding lightly. "Yes, he's getting so big, which is a good thing." Since Matthew had been born prematurely, they'd been worried that he wouldn't grow properly. But he was growing very well, he was still smaller than he should be but he was growing. At his next statement she shook her head. "You have no idea. Max is back in school and all so he's not around much. But I love it."

Brooklyn giggled when Arielle hugged her back. "Missed you, Ari." she said, squeezing her in a hug once more before letting go finally. "He's looking much more healthier, too." David nodded. "Happier, too." he chuckled watching as the baby began suckling on his finger, cooing occasionally. "Happiness is always a good thing." he grinned, pulling back a little till he finally got his finger back so he could stand up again. He glanced down at the girls then, grinning at them. "So, Brook, you wanna see some more animals? I'm sure Ari wouldn't mind seeing a few animals..am I right, Ari?"

"An'mals~" Ari giggled, clapping her hands together. She tugging on Naomi's pant leg, looking up at Naomi wide wide, excited eyes. "Mama, an'mals?" Naomi smiled a bit at her daughters limited one-year old vocabulary and nodded. "Yeah Ari, we're gonna go see some animals." She nodded towards David, smiling at Matt's cooing. "Yeah, he's a very happy baby. A bit calmer then Arielle was at that age." She added with a laugh.

David chuckled when he heard his niece speak. She was just so cute. Brooklyn giggled as well, and pulled her cousin's hand to lead the way. "We gonna see the Giraffe next. You're favorite!" she squealed. David only grinned at the two girls, following close behind them, mostly making sure they weren't gonna make a wrong turn to the Giraffe's. Although, it would be kind of hard to miss them. David glanced back down at Matthew before looking up to Naomi again. "He does seem a bit calmer," he chuckled. "All I remember of Ari in that age was being a squirmy wiggle-worm non-stop. Am I right?" he laughed a bit more, glancing at the girls ahead of them. "I think maybe Brooklyn's rubbed off on her, too."

"Gaffs!" Ari bounced excitedly, grinning up at Brooklyn. Naomi giggled lightly, shaking her head. Giraffe, even though she couldn't say it completely, had been one of the first words Ari had learned, the very first naturally being Dada. Naomi looked down at Matthew as David spoke, smiling when she saw he was currently gnawing on his hand. "Oh yes, you're definitely right." Naomi laughed. "She was like that while I was pregnant too, always kicking me." She rubbed her stomach at the memory, looking over at her daughter who was currently babbling to Brooklyn in a type of speech that only Brooklyn probably would've understood. "But it's good that her and Brooklyn are so close. I wish I had someone like that when I was younger. I mean I had Shane but that wasn't until I was 11, and even then he wasn't always the best influence."

Brooklyn nodded, excitedly pulling on her cousin's arm to follow her still. "I knew you like them best. So I save them for last!" David chuckled. "Yeah, I remember you complaining something about Ari giving you a hard time while in there." he gestured to her belly. He glanced over to his daughter and Arielle when Naomi did then, holding that smile of his held strong. "I'm sure they'll be close even when their in school together too. Oh god," he chuckled, placing his hand over his forehead as if remembering something. "Can you imagine what they'll be like as teenagers in high school? I have a feeling Brooklyn's gonna be one of those drama queens. She already is one at three." he shook his head, watching his daughter swing her cousin's hand back and forth as they got closer to their destination.

"Yay~" Arielle simply giggled, even though she didn't quite understand everything her cousin was saying to her. Naomi shook her head, faking a grimace. "I don't even want to think about high school, that's still 18 years away." She tilted her head a bit though as she looked at her daughter. "I'd imagine her doing something very active though. Maybe playing sports or something." When they finally got to the giraffe exhibit Arielle began squealing excitedly, running over to pull on her mother's pant leg. "Mama! Mama wookit! Gaffs!" Naomi smiled, laughing softly. "Yes Ari those are giraffes. Big, huh?" Arielle nodded, turning her attention back to the animals.

David chuckled, glancing down at Matt for a second noticing he was half way asleep now with his thumb stuck in his mouth. "Yeah, I can already see where Brooklyn will be. Singing. Or at least something that has to do with performance. She loves the attention." he said, glancing from Naomi back over to the girls where the pair of them had started squealing at the sight of the Giraffes. "Daddy," Brooklyn pouted, pulling on her father's own pant leg. "Can I have a pet Giraffe?" David's mouth dropped open and just a laugh came out at first. "Brooky...We hardly have the place for a dog. How do you think we would fit a big giraffe like that?" his chuckles continued to slip out, even after Brooklyn gave a small shrug, returning her attention back to the giraffes.

"Touch?" Ari peered up at her uncle then, sticking her hands up to be picked up. She knew he was taller than mommy and therefore able to get her closer to the "gaffs." Naomi noticed Matthew falling asleep as well and pulled his baby blanket around his little body, pulling his thumb out of his mouth. He began whining almost immediately, before Naomi stuck his binky in his mouth. "Matthew was interrupted from his nap this morning. I'm surprised he isn't fussy."

David looked down to see his niece wanted to be picked up. "I don't think you can pet the giraffe's sweetie." he told her gently, as he picked her up in his arms. "But you can definitely see them better from up here." he added in, scooting in closer against the bars so Arielle could get a better look at them. "Daddy..." Brooklyn whined, tugging on his pant leg. "I wanna go up too.." David sighed, and lowered himself to the ground with his back turned to Brooklyn. "Climb up, Brooky." he told her, and stood back up when both girls were snuggly on him. "Better?" he asked, and both girls nodded enthusiastically, eyes wide and all. David glanced over to Naomi when she spoke then, chuckling lightly. "Awe, poor little guy. He's probably just too tired to start fussing."

"No touch?" Arielle whimpered, though she was quickly distracted when one of the giraffes wrapped it's long tongue around a pole. She squealed excitedly, giggling and looking up at her uncle with wide eyes and a grin on her face. "Probably." Naomi said, watching as the baby finally fell asleep before turning her attention to the giraffes. "He hardly ever fusses though. I'm not complaining though, it's definitely a good thing." "More an'mals?" Arielle finally asked, starting to get bored with the giraffes.

"No, sorry sweetheart." David said, nodding over to Naomi in agreement. He chuckled when Arielle suddenly got bored then. "Of course. Brooky, where did you want to go next?" Brooklyn looked up from the giraffes to her daddy, and bit her lip in thought. "Um....monkey's!" David nodded, smiling back to his niece. "Monkey's sound good, Ari?"
