Perrin smiled, "Really?" He asked her, seeming surprised. He opened the door and peeked inside. It seemed empty. "Hello?" He called out. With no answer, he hoped Ame was lounging around with headphones on. Let alone doing something else. "I think we're the only ones here..." He said unsurely as he led her into the kitchen, turning on the light.

"Yeah. I don't really like big houses." Summer bit her lip as she followed Perrin into the seemingly empty house. Part of her was relieved that nobody was here, she didn't think she'd be ready to meet any of his family, but another part wished there was someone there - being alone with a guy was absolutely terrifying to her.

As if on cue, Ame came into the kitchen, headphones in his ears. He looked between his brother and the girl next to him, his infamous smile forming as he looked between his brother and the girl. Perrin furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head, shoving his brother. He pulled out Ame's headphone, the loud music leaking into the air. "What?" Ame asked him, seeming annoyed though never actually able to be annoyed at Perrin. "My friend and I are going to make some of that homemade fried chicken." He explained to his brother, stressing the word "friend" in hopes Ame would stop giving him suggestive looks. He wasn't even sure if Ame was suggesting if they were going to do something or if he was going to hit on her, but either way, Ame was the last sibling he felt Summer should have met. "Fine, make enough for the family, Enzo loves that shi-" "Yes, I will." Perrin interrupted him. He handed Ame his headphones, "So..." Ame rolled his eyes, "I'll be in my room, making no noise, and pretending I don't exist." He imitated mockingly. Perrin shook his head, "thank you." He waited for Ame to grab a drink (When did we get beer? he wondered to himself) and then returned his attention to Summer. "Uh, he's not really sociable unless he's flirting... That was my second oldest brother Ame." He explained awkwardly, busying himself with finding the ingredients for the chicken.

Summer stood by quietly and rather awkwardly as Perrin interacted with who she assumed to be his brother. She was actually trying not to pass out from nervousness. Luckily, after a brief talk with Perrin, the other boy walked away. "O-oh. I-It's alright..." She silently cursed at herself for stuttering again, and hated how shy she got around people. "D-do you need h-help?"

Perrin pulled out the ingredients and placed them on the counter. "Um..." Perrin said, looking around at what had to be done. "What can you do?" He asked, getting the dishes that would be needed.

Summer bit her lip, shrugging lightly. She never really cooked, so she couldn't do much. Still, she wanted to be of some help. "I-I...don't really know." She admitted, keeping her gaze down.

"Um..." Perrin thought aloud, looking around. He smiled and poured the breading into the bowl. "You can mix this." He said, pouring in the necessary ingredients for the breading. He smiled and looked to her, "Just use your hands, like this."

Summer watched as he demonstrated how she was to mix it, scrunching her nose when she realized she had to use her hands. "Maybe I should wash them first..." She muttered, going over to the sink to quickly wash her hands. Once she was done she returned to the bowl and begun to mix as she was told. "L-like this...?"

Perrin nodded excitedly, washing his hands, then the chicken and setting it up to be breaded. "You're doing great. Uh... If you don't mind touching raw meat, you can mix it in, like this." He told her, gently shoving her away without his hands and demonstrating how to roll the meat into the breading. Once it was nicely covered, he put it onto an empty pan.

"Oh. Alright." Summer began rolling the meat into the breading, placing it into the pan. She gasped and jumped a bit when it began to pop, a light blush crossing her cheeks. She returned to her work, biting her lip.

"Are you okay?" Perrin asked, immediately reaching to check her hands before realizing he was holding him. A faint blush on his cheeks, he muttered, "It'll pop, but it's nothing to worry about. It shouldn't pop too much..."

Summer blushed deeply when Perrin grabbed her hands, too nervous to do anything. "I-I...I'm fine." She stammered, torn between pulling away and keeping her hands in his. She had to admit, even though her heart was currently trying to force its way out of her chest, she liked the feel of her hands in his. "O-Oh...a-alright..."

Perrin pulled his hands away shyly after realizing he was still holding them. "Um... Yeah, so be careful." He muttered unintelligibly. He tried to focus on making the chicken, but could only notice the heat of the blush on his cheeks.

Summer bit her lip and lowered her eyes, moving her hair to shield her red face. She went back to breading the chicken, trying to calm her beating heart. Summer worked much slower then she had been, trying to figure out what exactly just happened. She'd never reacted like that over a guys touch before. Granted, she always freaked whenever a guy touched her. Why not this time...? Before long, Summer was done breading the chicken and had it in the pan. She went to rinse her hands before turning to lean against the sink, waiting to see if there was anything else that needed to be done.

Perrin finished off breading the chicken and checked how the chicken in the pan was doing, smiling as it looked like it was doing good. "Uh..." He began, clearing his throat as he looked over to Summer, feeling the blush return with just looking at her. He lowered his head and took a breath. "I think that's all for now. I don't fry them, so I guess it's not technically fried chicken." He let out a small laugh, not able to look her in the eyes, but finally looking at her face instead of the floor, "but it's good, I promise." He assured her.
