Summer sat at the piano bench, her fingers moving softly over the keys as she sang to her favorite song. Nobody had been inside the music hall when she got here, and she didn't really expect anyone else to show up. She'd been here before, and had absolutely fell in love with the place. It was always quiet, except of course when there was something going on. Summer wasn't perfect at the song, she messed up a few keys every now and then, but she didn't let it bother her much, opting to just continue on with the song. Besides, it's not like anyone was watching.

Perrin had to admit something to himself eventually: he was lost. He had managed to wander into a part of Riverside he wasn't too familiar with, and he had no clue where he was. He was about to call Ame to come find him (as Ame seemed to have been everywhere lately), but then heard a beautiful sound coming from nearby, and he found himself in a music room, silently sitting and listening to a beautiful pianist. He couldn't actually see her face, but he felt like she was familiar, and therefore pretty.

Summer slowly came to the end of her song, her fingers stilling as the last of the notes rang out in the empty room. Sighing softly, she brushed her fingers over the keys, trying to come up with something else to play. When she couldn't think of anything, Summer opted for working on the shaky parts of the song. After a while, she paused and stood, deciding to take a break for now. Stretching, Summer looked around the room, and gasped when she noticed someone there. "O-oh, I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't s-see you t-there." She stammered, her voice just barely above a whisper.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to surprise... Summer?" Perrin began, stopping as he realized why she looked so familiar. His smile widened, "Oh my god, you're Summer, right? We met by the lake a while ago..?" He explained, trying to make sure she remembered him. It had been a while, so it was understandable if she didn't remember him.

Summer frowned, trying to recognize the face. "O-oh! Perrin!" She gasped softly, a light blush crossing her cheeks. "I-I remember you." They'd gone to the movies that day. Summer lowered her gaze, even though they knew each other she was still painfully shy. "H-how have you b-been?"

"I've been good... How about you?" Perrin asked softly. Ah, I forgot she was shy... I shouldn't be so active. He reminded himself mentally, toning down his excitement of seeing her again. "Have you been busy?"
((Sorry for all the spelling mistakes in the last couple posts. I'm still getting used to my iPad...-___-;; ))

"I-I've been okay..." Summer said, tugging on a braid gently and keeping her gaze on her shoes. "I-I've been busy w-with starting college, but that's i-it. H-how about you?" Summer hated how badly she stuttered, wishing she didn't. It was part of the reason people didn't talk to her, or she didn't talk to people.

Perrin nodded in understand. "I'm in the same boat." He replied. It was one of the few idioms in English he knew how to use correctly after a mishap a few months ago with one of his classmates. "Also my older brothers are often out of the house, so I've been learning to cook lately for the rest of my siblings." He explained, only afterwords having to wonder if he told her about his family situation yet. Though he was less hesitant to tell others than some of his other siblings, he still sympathized with the hate for pity Enzo and Ame had.

"O-oh..." Summer bit her lip, still tugging on and twisting her hair around her finger. "I wish I c-could c-cook." She admitted softly. Summer glanced up at Perrin before looking away again, a blush on her cheeks, and a small frown touching her lips. Her stomach was churning, as it did whenever she talked to someone, and it bothered her more than it usually did because she knew Perrin, and had even went to the movies with him. She hated being so shy. Please don't puke, please don't puke. "S-so...w-what a-all do you c-cook?"

Perrin smiled and shrugged, seeming oblivious to her nervousness, but in actually just trying to ignore so as to not make her any more nervous. It had been a while since they'd seen each other after all. "Just whatever's available." His smile widened into a grin, "Most recently, I figured out how to make really, really awesome home made fried chicken."

"Really?" Summer glanced up at him, a small smile showing through. "M-maybe you c-could show me how, sometime?" She looked back down afterwards, biting her lip. "I-if you want, t-that is." She sighed softly, glancing around again. "I-I'm sorry, but d-do you mind if we g-go sit down? M-my stomach is b-bothering me..."

"Oh!" Perrin replied, looking around for a place for them to sit. Finding a spot he helped her sit down before sitting down next to her, smiling at her softly. "I'd love to show you how one day." He responded as an answer to her question about showing her how to cook fried chicken, his eyes softening. Something about her made him want to protect her, while at the same time, (he had to stop some blush from forming on his face) he felt a slight attraction to her as well. He made a mental note to seek her out more often, in hopes maybe one day she would be able to say hello to him confidently. It's probably cause I just came in here like a harceleur (stalker)... He reminded himself, letting out a small sigh.

"T-thanks." Summer kept a hand on her still choppy stomach, glad the queasiness was settling a bit. "Y-you would?" She looked up at him in surprise. Summer had been afraid that he'd refuse because of her horrible stutter, though he didn't seem like that type of a person. He was actually very sweet and patient with her, something she wasn't used to from non-family members, and it made her almost want to cling to him so he wouldn't leave her. The thought caused Summer to blush even darker than she already was.

Perrin gave her one of his infamous, pure smiles, "yeah, I think it'd be fun. Then, maybe not the same day, you can meet my siblings, too. They're all really nice!" He couldn't stop smiling at the thought of bringing her home to cook. Maybe as his girlfriend, even... Wait, what? Did I just think that? He shook his head, his soft hair falling into his face, then made a grand show of fixing his hair so it was out of his face again, trying to distract himself from those kinds of thoughts.

"M-maybe." I'd have to get comfortable enough around you first. Summer was afraid that meeting his siblings would cause her to have a heart attack. "M-may I show you something?" She asked after a while, standing and moving over to the piano. "M-my teacher said that i-if I play i-in front of p-people m-more then I won't be so shy." Summer hoped to God that this was true. She took a deep breath, setting her fingers on the keys and began playing the song that she'd been playing earlier. Of course she messed up a few times, due to both her nervousness and the fact that the song was still shaky for her. The blush stayed on her cheeks the entire time, and she didn't look back up at Perrin until the song was over, and even then she was too afraid to ask how she did.
