Kalani smiled happily, content with trading the chance to get the newest game (he wasn't sure he'd have liked it anyway) in order to get a (new! as the poster said) pineapple explosion smoothie from the smoothie shop in the mall. It seemed like he had been becoming more and more familiar with the mall in recent months, and besides his "lover" of Gamestop being in the mall, every new shop seemed to be a nice discovery. He'd had to make a mental note of where he had found this delicious pineapple-y concoction so he could have it again. He sat on a bench, people watching as he tried to make his drink last forever. (When did he drink half of it already?) He thought over the money he should have left, smiling as he realized it was enough for another one if he so pleased. A couple girls walking past looked at him, probably curious as to what he was smiling so crazily about. He shifted his smile into a smirk, giving the girls a creepy look to chase them away, he was never one for flirting, and he had his love right in his hands, anyway.

Savannah dropped Carmel off at the daycare centre not far from the mall it was so much easier to get what ever shopping she had to do without Carmel being with her. At least it meant no paddy's when she didn't get what she wanted and when they had to go into shops Carmel didn't want to go. Smiling to herself it wasn't often she got time to go shopping, with carmel and uni work and her part time job she didn't get much alone time. But she wouldn't change her life no matter what, moving to Riverside had been the best decision she had made for her and her daughter. After what seemed like hours but was only around 1.5 hours Savannah was all shopped out. New things for both her and her little girl she decided to try out the smoothie bar all her sibling had been raging about. Spotting a boy sat outside of the place she shook her head as he gave some girls infront of her a creepy smile. She tried not to laugh she didn't want to draw attention to herself. Standing in the queue she couldn't decide what type of smoothie she wanted. Strawberry and apple, or orange strawberry and grape. Asking for an orange strawberry and apple smoothie she paid the cashier the money and waited for her smoothie looking around the shop for somewhere to sit and only noticing the bench outside where the creepy smiler guy was sat. Grabbing her drink once it was made she made her way outside. Coughing a little to get the boys attention waiting for him to look up at her. ''Mind if I sit?'' She sasked. Shifting her hand to her hip.

Seeing she wasn't trying to flirt, Kalani nodded, scooting over to give her room to sit down. She was pretty, he had to admit, possibly even his type. But he still wasn't skilled in the socializing department, it had been like that since he was kid, he wasn't exactly sure why, so he figured if she wanted to make small talk, he'd receive it kindly and try not to scare her off. Okay, he told himself mentally, turn off the video game talk, try and stay sane as you debate buying another pineapple explosion.

Savannah smiled when he scooted over taking his silent that he wanted to be left alone. So she just sat there looking at his through the corner of her eye. Taking out her phone she had to pick Carmel up within 45 minutes so that was long enough for her to enjoy her smoothie without rushing it and not tasting it. Letting out a sigh of relief when she took her first sip she had tasted smoothies before but this one was really nice made with fresh fruit instead of frozen fruit you could really taste the difference. Looking over at the boy again Savannah noticed that he had the same cup of her so it meant he liked smoothies as well. Being spontaneous she thought she would ask what flavour he was drinking. "So what flavour smoothie is that?'' Savannah asked taking another sip of her smoothie.

"Pineapple." Kalani said simply, not even really thinking through his words, just answering through reflex. He looked to her "lesser"-flavored smoothie. "Yours?" He asked, though he knew he'd never actually try any other flavor now that they had pineapple.

"It's erm strawberry, apple and orange. Its actually quite nice even if the fruits don't sound like they go. But you only live once don't you?'' Savannah said taking another sip of her smoothie letting out a refreshing sigh after it had gone down. ''So does your smoothie taste good? Never had just pineapple by its self'' Savannah said turning slightly to face Kalani so she could see him when he replied to her.

Kalani chuckled, "I kind of only adore pineapple, so mixing it is like a waste of a drink to me." He joked, let out a small laugh after saying it. His smirk remained, "So to answer your question, yes, it does taste good. Very good."

Watching his face as he spoke Savannah grinned when he was talking about how he adored pineapples and didn't want to mix it anything cause it would ruin the taste. "So other than drinking smoothies at the mall what else do you like to do?"

Kalani laughed and thought a moment. "Uh... Not much. I normally only come here when I'm forced out of the house. I guess video games and listening to music. What about you?" He asked her, finally giving her a good once-over. She was really pretty when he actually thought about it.

''It's very rarely that I actually have time on my own. Having a child under the age of 5 can be very demanding when she isn't in day care every day and I have college work to do'' Savannah said, running her hand through her hair. ''I guess spending time with my daughter and family, reading and writing when I actually get the time. But I'm always looking to try new things though, not quite sure what just yet'' she said and for the first time in ages she realised that she really didn't get out that much and that she really didn't have that many hobbies either.

Kalani nodded, curious what it would be like to have a kid. "How old's your kid?" He asked her, tilting his head to the side curiously. "I like kids." He seemed intent on just staring at his drink, it obvious he wasn't normally good at making conversation.

"Carmel's 2 but acts like a teenagers. She's really forward for her age she can count to five and knows most of her colours and shapes. Guess she got the brains from me" Savannah said, a huge grin on her face like always when she spoke about her daughter. "do you have any kids?" was Savannah's next question not that it would matter if he did or if he didn't. She was only looking to make friends and maybe arrange a few playdates for her little girl in the process.

Kalani gave her an apologetic smile, "Nope. I got some kid brothers, but they're 15 already." He told her simply. "But back in high school I helped out at a preschool near my school. They were cute." He told her, finally looking back up at her as he bit his straw and sipped more of his drink.

Savannah smiled when he spoke not really sure how to word what she wanted to say. But hoped he didn't take offence to her wording. "I guess helping out and having a child to look after is different." she said, not really sure how he would react or responde to her. "I used to think it was the same but then it all changed when I become responseable for a child twenty-four seven. Which reminds me I must be getting off soon. Carmel won't be happy if she's one of the kids picked up last. Like I said she not your regular two year old." Savannah laughed as she remembered how Carmel could paddy and screw her face up if her mum was late picking her up. But all was sloved once she gave her a hug and kiss.

Kalani nodded, "Oh, I totally agree. Personally, I've never raised a kid, the closest idea I have is my brothers, and they were already about eight or nine when I came into the family." He shook his head, "I know I'm not ready for a kid, maturity-wise and just in general. I barely even do my homework without being told to." He joked slightly. "But people like you seem really amazing. It must be difficult to raise a kid..." He smirked, "Especially when they act like teenagers."
