Madison had the door to her car open and was about to get in when she heard her name being called. Goodness, what does he want now? Even though he was telling her to wait, she was more than ready to get in her car and just drive away. She knew that it would be for the best, that it was better that they just remain polite acquaintances. She'd been hit on in the past by a guy with a girlfriend, which wound up costing her the friendship of one of her closest friends, among other things. She wasn't about to go through that again.
However, she began to slowly change her mind about leaving once she listened to what he had to say. She shut the door to the car and headed over to him, her hands buried in her pockets. "She's just your bandmate?" she asked in surprise. "But she's so pretty and you guys sounded so good together. I just assumed that...." She paused right then, trying to make sense of the sudden turn of events. "I-I like you too," she found herself confessing.

David nodded, which followed with a smirk afterwards. "Just because we're in the same band doesn't automatically make us a couple." he reminded her, as if she needed reminding. Although he did understand her confusion, he was just glad they were finally getting all this cleared up. He especially was happy to know that she felt the same way about him. Maybe a bit surprising, but he was still happy for the fact that she even admitted that to him. They were going somewhere after all. "I'm glad you told me that, though." he grinned a little wider at her, as he slowly reached his hands out for hers. He thought about leaning in for a kiss, but wasn't quite sure if now would be the appropriate time. So he changed it up. "So, let me try again. Do you think you'd want to go out for another dinner with me sometime? Maybe someplace a bit nicer?"

"I know, it's just when I saw you together on stage, you looked like you could be a couple. You were singing that love song and Brooklyn just seemed so happy to see her and I thought that...." Madison chuckled and shook her head. He was right. Just because they sang together in a band didn't necessarily mean that they were romantically involved. She felt so silly for even thinking that. "I'd like that," she said, taking his hands in hers. "Although I'm not really a fancy person, so I'm not sure if a nicer restaurant is a good idea." She was such a huge tomboy. She didn't even have a dress in her closet. She had to buy one soon for her sister's wedding and wasn't looking forward to it in the least. She was happy for her sister and was willing to wear a dress just for her, but the idea still made her cringe. "Ummm my sister's getting married in a few weeks. If you want, you can tag along with me. The wedding's kind of fancy, but I think I might be able to stomach it better if I wasn't alone."

David wanted to stop Madison right there, but he just let it go and listened to her babble some more. It wasn't like he didn't understand. He did. The type of songs they sang up on stage, the fact that it was just the two of them in the band.... "That's understandable." David finally said with a small shrug in his shoulders. "I mean, like I said before, I'm just glad we're getting all this cleared up now rather than later." He chuckled when she mentioned she wasn't much of a fancy girl. He didn't blame her, the way her personality was from what he knew, he figured she wouldn't be as fancy and girly as the other girls he's known. "Oh, that's fine. We don't have to go somewhere fancy. I was just thinking maybe someplace a little more....sophisticated than just a diner with burger and fries." he shrugged again. He glanced down at their hands entwined with each other and gave another soft smile, "Ohh~ A wedding? Sure, I'd love to, uh, like you said, tag along." he laughed, using the words that Madison had put. "A wedding's always better when you have a date. Believe me, at my brother's wedding, I didn't have a date. Though I was the best man, so I just danced with one of the maid of honors." He looked at the sun then, seeing it setting lower and lower, and thinking now would be best that they separate, even if he didn't want to.

"Yeah, I'm glad we got it sorted out too," she said, smiling back at him. It was like a weight had been lifted. Sure, there was still the slightest worry she had about dating the father of one of her students, but she hoped that would eventually go away in time. "I guess I could try sophisticated, but I'm not putting on a dress and heels or anything like that," she added, making a face. "And yeah, I'm not in the wedding or anything like that, but its just going to be weird. My other sisters are going to be there with dates, my parents are flying in, and I would most likely be stuck at a table, making awkward conversation with my brother, so it's a good thing that you're coming. You can bring Brooklyn too if you want. There will be a ton of other little kids there for her to play with, I'm sure."

David chuckled at her explanation of wearing heals. "Don't worry, I won't make you." Hearing her talk about the wedding made David have flashbacks about his brother's own wedding. Unlike Madison, he was in it. Even if the wedding did seem like a waste of money since Max divorced soon after six months or so. "Oh, that's fine. I understand, actually. I'd rather have a date than sit alone looking all awkward any day. I'm sure Brooklyn would love to come to. Considering she loves to dress up as it is." He chuckled lightly, thinking of how his daughter would react when he told her she would be going to another wedding soon. She'd be jumping off the walls, that's for sure. David looked around at the sun setting, noticing it was getting much darker now, and he still had to pick up Brooklyn from his brother's house. "Well, I guess I should get going now. 'Still gotta pick up Brooklyn and tell her the good news." Though maybe I should wait on that till morning so that she'll actually sleep. "Text me the details of when and where the wedding will be at, and we'll go from there. I'll see you later." With those final words, David leaned in closer to Madison again, and gave her a soft kiss on the lips before heading back to his car and driving off without another word, only smiles.
