"Yup, nothing wrong with being average." Sammy agreed. He looked to the sky. "A C-, huh? That was my grade last semester." He told her simply. "Only mine was English. Mom says it's cause English was my second language." He shrugged and looked back to Jaela. "Maybe I can help you with math?" He suggested.

Jaela smiled and nodded. "Nope, not at all." she agreed. "Wow, really? I've always gotten an A in English. You could tutor me in Math. And in return, I could tutor you myself for English." she suggested herself with a soft smile.

"Deal!" Sammy agreed with a cheeky smile. He looked into the sky again and let out a small sigh, "So what should we do now, then?" He asked her, not having a clue what they could do.

Jaela grinned even wider at his agreement, and leaned back down to her sketchbook, thinking of what they could do now. "Um...well, we could climb another tree?" Just as she said that though, small music started coming near them, and it grew louder and louder. Jaela knew that sound anywhere. Her eyes grew wide as she peaked through the tree branches to see a little white truck about to pass by them. "Oh! Ice cream!" she exclaimed, looking to Sammy excitedly, like a little kid again. "There's something we could do." she giggled. "If you don't have money, I think I have enough for the both of us." she offered.

Sammy giggled and nodded, "Okay, I'll pay you back, promise!" He told her, jumping down then waiting for her. He wasn't sure if she'd need help getting down or not, but he was prepared, trying to flag down the ice cream truck from his spot so it would stop. "Do you need help?" He asked Jaela, looking up to her.

"Cool!" Jaela squealed, adjusting herself to jump after Sammy had. She didn't even hear him ask her if she needed help, because by the time he did, she has already jumped from the next branch and onto the ground landing like a cat. "Come on!" she hollored, grabbing Sammy's hand as she pulled him towards the ice cream truck. She waved him down with her other hand which was gripping onto her sketchbook, but luckily, the truck stopped, and the two caught up. "Hm... Can I have the double stick fudgcicle?" she told the man, who grabbed a packaged ice cream and handed it to her. "What do you want, Sammy?" she asked, digging out some change out of her pockets.

"Uh..m..." Sammy stuttered, too caught up in the fact she had grabbed his hand. He blinked a couple times, trying to bring himself out of the daydream. "I'll have the same. I like Fudgsicles." He replied unintelligibly.

Jaela giggled, nodding at his response and handed the man her change after he gave Sammy his ice cream. With a simple thanks, the truck was on its way back down the streets, and Jaela was sucking down her fudgcicle. "Mm....I can't for summer now. I'll be having these everyday!" she giggled, giving her treat another lick.

Sammy smiled, opening his own and licking it a couple times. "Really? You're lucky! My mom doesn't like us eating ice cream often." He complained to her, beginning to walk back to the tree they had been hanging out in.

"Well...my mom doesn't exactly know I have these every-er, close to everyday." she giggled, setting her drawing supplies down before plopping down herself underneath their usual tree, leaning against it comfortably. "It's not like my mom doesn't sneak ice cream behind our backs though. She's just as bad as us sometimes!" she added in truthfully.

Sammy giggled, "Really?" He tried to think if he had ever seen his mom sneaking snacks. "I mean... It seems reasonable but still! What hypocrites!" He joked with her, sitting down next to her. He took a small bite out of his own Popsicle, "it just seems funny." He added with a small shake of his head.

"Really!" Jaela nodded, biting off the tip of her fudgcicle, letting it melt in her mouth before adding in, "My mom admitted to us how much of a sweet tooth she has, since she was a kid. That's where some of us gets our cravings for sweets....because of her." she giggled. "She's not obsessed with it or anything, but sneaking them behind our backs, not even bothering to share? How rude!" she laughed louder, biting off another piece of her frozen treat.

Sammy laughed loudly at what Jaela was saying. "My mom too." He said shortly in between bites of his own Popsicle. "She says she's liked sweets for as long as she can remember. Oh, but when she got older, she didn't like sour things as much as when she was younger." He explained.

"Really? That's like my mom..but with chocolate. She used to be crazy for chocolate, but then..." she took another bite off of her fudgcicle. "I guess the older she got, the less she could handle, or something. I don't know, she just said she can't handle as much chocolate as she would like anymore..." she shrugged, licking her ice cream a little more slowly this time, to savor the taste.

Sammy giggled and nodded. "My mom's the same." He said in between licks of his Popsicle. "But she says it's cause obesity runs in the family and she's trying to be more conscious of what she eats." He replied, rolling his eyes.
