Dali fiddled with his phone, sipping on a soda he had gotten before finding a seat. He munched on the straw, trying to find someone besides a sibling he could invite to join him. A name seemed to stand out over the others. Would she even remember me? I don't think we've even talked since that time in the club... He pondered. He hesitated, setting his phone down and bringing his attention to the band playing that night They were some indie band with a soft jazzy sound, and it was actually really soothing. Nice music to talk to a crush with... His mind seemed to think without his willing it to. He tried not to think too much into it as his fingers typed a message to her. Luna? This is Dali. We met at the club a while ago... I was just wondering if you were free to hang out tonight? He only let himself skim the message for spelling errors before pressing send. He moved his drink away from him, letting his head fall onto the table only inches away from his phone.

Luna placed her folded hands on her stomach, laying on her back on her bed, eyes closed. Living alone wasn't so bad for her, since she was used to be alone anyway. Not to mention after that night at the club, she had slowly begun retreating back into her silent shell, not willing to talk to anyone. More than once she'd considered texting or calling the boy she'd met, but fear had kept her from doing so. Fear of what? Rejection? Luna sighed softly. The sound of her vibrating phone brought her from her thoughts and she peeked an eye open, grabbing it from her night stand. Who could be texting me...? The only person who Luna talked to was Rochelle, and that wasn't very often. When she flipped the phone open though, a gasp escaped her lips at the name on her screen. With shaky fingers she managed to text back, Sure, I would love to. Where at?

Do you know where Xania Music Venue is? Dali texted back, his hands shaking a little. He tried to blame it on the cold, but the heat of the place as well as the butterflies in his stomach didn't totally convince him of that. He continued mutilating his straw, a part of him wondering if maybe he should get some food to munch on as well.

Luna jumped a bit at her phone vibrating once again, sitting up in bed at this point. Yeah, I know where that's at. Should I meet you there? She climbed out of bed, trying to calm her already speeding heart and went to pull on some clothes, a simple skirt and a tank top, throwing a sweater on over it. Grabbing her shoes, Luna pulled them on, waiting for Dali to text her back.

Yeah, I'll be here. Dali texted back, not able to help a smile that had formed. Did he just... get a date? He adjusted his shirt, one of the few items of clothing he didn't alter because of how comfortable it was. He knew it would be some time before Luna would get there, but he really hoped she would hurry before he had the chance to run away.

Luna felt her heart jump in her chest at the last text, lacing her boots with a little difficulty, considering her shaking hands. She stood, taking a deep breath and letting it out on a sigh, before grabbing her keys and leaving her apartment. She made it to the venue a bit faster than it would usually take her, nerves making her walking quicker than normal. Eyes scanned the area, looking for Dali as she chewed on her bottom lip nervously.

Dali was watching the door carefully, so he noticed Luna before she could find him. He raised up his arm, smiling as he waved it around a little to get her attention. Even though he was nervous about this, he still felt really happy about being able to see her again.

Luckily for Luna she didn't have to stand there long, as she noticed Dali's hand wave. She smiled a bit, relief flooding her despite the butterflies in her stomach moving at high speed. Her bottom lip still between her teeth, she quickly made her way to him, her eyes staying on the floor, lest she make eye contact with anyone. Finally she made it to him, sitting next to him, her cheeks a bit flushed. "H-hey." She stammered quietly, glancing up at him before looking away again.

"H-hey..." Dali stuttered back, suddenly unsure of why and how this even seemed like a good idea. He cleared his throat, looking up at her, though not able to look her directly in the eyes as a wave of embarrassment and nervousness hit him. "Uh... How've you been?" He asked her, like it was the most awkward question to ask anyone.

Luna hesitated before answering, unsure of exactly how to answer. She couldn't tell him that she was slowly slipping into the shell her and Rochelle had tried so hard to break her out of. "F-fine." She whispered finally. Luna forced herself to look him in the eyes, fully aware of the deep blush burning her cheeks. She didn't want to panic, or drive him away because of her shy nature, her nervousness seeming to overwhelm her and cause her to miss the fact that he seemed just as nervous as she was. "H-how about you?"

Dali nodded, looking her in the eyes and managing to notice she was just as nervous. "I'm good." He said, forcing down a laugh. A smile crept onto his face. It's funny, isn't it? We seem to be the same... He thought to himself.

Luna found that while he was looking her into the eyes, it was hard to keep her gaze on his and she almost immediately adverted her eyes. A light blush crossed her cheeks as she stared at her now fidgeting hands, not sure what to do in these situations. She'd never talked to a person really before him. Luna's gaze darted to the band playing on stage, and then she glanced at Dali before looking away again. "I-I guess I'm r-really nervous again..." She admitted in a soft whisper, her bottom lip finding its way back between her teeth.

Dali chuckled lightly, almost finding it cute how nervous she was. He reached over the table and grabbed her hands, trying to ignore his own heart and stomach doing flips as he did so. "Hey, you don't need to be nervous; we're friends, right?" He told her softly, his smile not leaving his face.

Luna felt her heart skip a beat when Dali grabbed her hands, trying hard not to pass out. She was already sure her face was a bright red, a contrast to her bright blonde hair. She bit her lip, giving him a simple nod, since she was sure if she tried to talk it would only come out as a stuttered mess. His declaration helped to calm her nerves a bit, though her heart was still working double time in her chest. "I guess I-I'm just not u-used to being around p-people."

Dali looked around. Because of the music it was a pretty calm crowd, and he couldn't think of anywhere they could go without suggesting one of their houses, and his family was probably big enough to still make her nervous. He let go of her hands, softly placing her hands back on the table as he did so. "Do you uh.. want a coffee or tea or something?" He offered, trying to change the subject in hopes it might help her clam down. He smiled at her awkwardly, "It's good here. The tea and or coffee, I mean."
